The article discusses issues related to the study of methodological and practical aspects of staff motivation on the example of small and medium-sized enterprises of the wine industry of ATU Gagauzia. Effective staff motivation is one of the most difficult issues for enterprise managers today. The efficiency of the enterprise directly depends on the motivation of the personnel. The effect of motivation presupposes not only an increase in labor productivity, but also the desire of employees to introduce innovations, improve working conditions and, in general, develop the enterprise. The article notes that with the help of a motivational audit, it is possible to identify shortcomings and identify areas for improving the personnel motivation system. The article presents the results of the study of the audit of the motivation state of the personnel of small and medium-sized wineries in ATU Gagauzia. Based on the results of the study, conclusions were drawn and several measures were proposed to improve the motivational model at the studied enterprises

Context. The article proposes an approach for automated identification of the  navigators motivational model in the control of water transport. Algorithms for data extraction as a result of the man-machine interaction of navigator with the electronic control systems of the vessel during performing navigation operations of increased complexity are proposed. Objective. The purpose of research is to apply formal and algorithmic approaches to extracting data on the motivational model of navigator to prevent accidents in water transport.  Method. The identification of manifestation determination of navigators’ mental activity by means of the visual concept of the geometric group theory is proposed. This approach delivered the visual systematic-logical combining of diagnostic methods aimed at determining navigators motivational centers and the processes of professional activity like maneuver performing. The key indicator of identification is said to be the parameter of the navigator’s activity as “rpm_port” having an impact on the vessel speed being a marker of intensification of the navigator’s physiological activity. Such an approach is beneficial in time phase identification while maneuvering indicating explicitly at the stepping up of the navigator’s physiological motivational state. It was proven to be correct based on the results due to Ward’s dendrogram, several statistical methods and applied software. The obtained research results encourage the prediction of the navigator’ motivational states in critical situations. Results. In order to confirm the proposed formal-algorithmic approach, an experiment was carried out using the navigation simulator Navi Trainer 5000. Automated analysis of experimental ones made it possible to form a motivational map of the navigator and determine the decision-making model affecting in the processes of  control vessel in difficult situations. Conclusions. The proposed research approaches made it possible to automate the processes of extracting data indicating the principles of decision-making by navigator. The effectiveness of proposed approach was substantiated by the results of experimental data automated processing and the constructed tree-like decision-making spaces.

Based on Guangzhou Songtian Vocational College under the China Education Group, with the guidance of ARCS (attention, relevance, confidence, and satisfaction) motivational model, the scientific examination should not only be before the examination but also after the examination which can produce positive and negative factors for examinees. Through the data collected in the recent three years, it can be drawn that the CET-SET (College English Test-Spoken English Test) has a backwash effect on the examinees especially on the learning concepts, learning motivations, as well as guiding students to develop good oral learning strategies and habits.

Two studies explored whether and how mindfulness relates with citizens’ tax evasion intentions and support for progressive tax rates. Based on theoretical and empirical grounds, in Study 1 (N = 1,175) we proposed that mindfulness would be negatively related with tax evasion intentions through decreased social dominance orientation. Drawing on Duckitt’s dual-process motivational model, in Study 2 (N = 722) we proposed that mindfulness would be positively related with support for progressive taxation through the mediation of lower competitive-jungle beliefs, and then lower social dominance orientation. Instead, we did not expect to find mediation of the link between mindfulness and support for progressive taxation through dangerous-world beliefs and right-wing authoritarianism. These studies inform about the motivational pathways through which mindfulness relates with tax evasion intentions and support for progressive taxation.

The motivational model of substance use posits that four motive subtypes (coping, enhancement, social, conformity) dynamically interact with contextual factors to affect decisions about substance use. Yet prior studies assessing the motivational model have relied on between-persons, cross-sectional evaluations of trait motives. We systematically reviewed studies using ecological momentary assessment (EMA; N = 64) on motives for substance use to examine methodological features of EMA studies examining the motivational model, support for the motivational model between and within individuals, and associations between trait motives and daily processes. Results of the reviewed studies provide equivocal support for the motivational model and suggest that EMA measures and trait measures of motives might not reflect the same construct. The reviewed body of research indicates that most studies have not examined the momentary and dynamic nature of the motivational model, and more research is needed to inform interventions that address heterogeneous reasons for substance use in daily life.

The COVID-19 pandemic has forced many organizations around the world to make full use of a variety of emerging online communication platform technologies. Universities are among the organizations that have asked students, tutors, and lecturers to use a number of different online communication platforms to ensure the education process remains uninterrupted. However, the COVID-19 pandemic has generated considerable challenges for the global higher education community while using such emerging technologies. This research has two main goals. First, this paper will begin by investigating whether the online learning platforms used by university students during the COVID-19 period have presented any challenges to their learning. Second, the paper will then go on to address proposed solutions by developing a conceptual model to reduce the impact of such challenges. This research uses an exploratory qualitative research approach, supported by literature content analysis techniques. The data set for this study was collected during the first peak of the pandemic period in Malaysia, between the 16th of May 2020 and the 5th of June 2020. We used SPSS to conduct a descriptive analysis and NVivo12 to analyse data collected from 486 students from different universities in Malaysia. These students disclosed various obstacles they encountered when they used IT platform applications for online learning. These obstacles include (a) work and information overload received from instructors, (b) inadaptability and unfamiliarity of the new online learning environment, and (c) personal health challenges related to stress and anxiety. Based on previous relevant research, this study introduced a set of motivational factors and developed a conceptual motivational model for sustainable and healthy online learning.

The opportunity to enroll in a foreign university skyrockets the motivation of many students. However, a huge number of these students eventually find themselves, in the midst of their studies, to unsure that they will even be able to graduate. This article focuses on the causes of demotivation for these students and aims to find a solution to this problem. Our study relies on previous research conducted by H. Douglas Brown, Zoltan Doernyei, Natalie Ness, Penny Ur, Desley I. Watson-Raston, and others. This article contributes to this literature by, first, looking into the causes of motivation loss among foreign students studying the English language in Russia, and second, by proposing certain tactics that could be put into practice in the classroom. By conducting our research over the last year and a half, we have come to several conclusions. According to our observations, authentic materials, along with the freedom for students to choose study topics and the way assignments are presented determinately increases not only student motivation but also improve learning results in speaking and writing. In our research, we tried to use a big variety of research methods. These included focus and control groups, general and individual questionnaires, video essays, and classic tests.
