In recent years, farms have been actively established in the Republic of Belarus, and the number of horses in private farms has been increasing. A promising direction is sports horse breeding and equestrian tourism. The effective management of the modern horse breeding industry is restrained by various causes, among which invasion diseases play non unimportant role. Statistical data on the spread of parasites of the gastrointestinal tract of horses in the territory of the Republic of Belarus in the period 2004–2020 are given. A number of researches have been conducted to study the therapeutic effectiveness of antiparasitic drugs of various pharmacological groups in mono- and polyinvasions of the gastrointestinal tract of horses. The high extensefficiency of avermectin series preparations (avermectin paste 1%, ekvisekt paste 1%, alezan paste, rivertin 1%, uniderm) was established with nematodosis of the gastrointestinal tract of horses and gasterophylosis. High efficiency was obtained from the use of a new complex antiparasitic drug for horses "Prazimax" in mono- and polyinvasions caused by parasites of the gastrointestinal tract, including nematodes of the small and large intestines, larvae of gastrophilus and anoplocephalids.

When importing cattle from Hungary, Germany, Holland and Australia, many violations of veterinary rules for cattle management for the purpose of its reproduction, rearing and sale were noted. Pathogens of a number of infectious diseases penetrate livestock farms with the cattle purchased. Cases of infection of imported pedigree cattle with tuberculosis were noted. Scientists, together with practical experts of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation, conducted a series of surveys of livestock farms, where pedigree cattle was imported from abroad. The imortance of the veterinary-sanitary treatment of premises prior to the delivery of breeding livestock was highlighted. Feeding regime of such animals in the summer and winter periods was taken into account. Particular attention was paid to preventive diagnostic studies of imported livestock and local animals in contact with them. For more effective diagnosis, several diagnostic tests were used – from the usual intradermal tuberculin test with PPD tuberculin for mammals – to the palpebral and intravenous tuberculin tests as well as the “booster effect” method. In the diagnosis of tuberculosis, a special role was assigned to the results of autopsy and laboratory studies of biomaterial taken from animals killed for diagnostic purposes. In the complex of diagnostic studies for a final decision on the animal tuberculosis and a general epizootic assessment of the herd for animal tuberculosis, a diagnostic assessment of the intradermal fold of 5 mm and over was proposed. Comprehensive intravital diagnostic measures, post-mortem diagnostics of animals reacting to tuberculin, proper veterinary and sanitary measures in livestock buildings were carried out, contact of animals brought from abroad with local cattle and other domestic animals, as well as poultry, was excluded. Comprehensive measures can reliably prevent and diagnose cases of tuberculosis both in imported and local livestock when placing it in specially prepared livestock buildings.

Abstract The illegal poisoning of dogs and other domestic and wild animals presents a worldwide problem causing animal suffering and R. Macedonia is not an exeption. The goal of this study is to make a comparison of the results from the histopathological examination conducted among poisoned dogs in the Republic of Macedonia. Morphological and histopathological changes in poisoned dogs were investigated for a period of 10 years. The examination was performed on 31 dogs, 13 of which were home kept, 7 were street dogs and 11 of unknown origin. The most significant necropsy findings concerned the inflammatory and necrotic processes of the gastrointestinal tract. The histopathological changes were mainly located in the kidneys, stomach, intestines and the lungs.

This article presents results of studying distribution and seasonal dynamics of associative parasitosis of gastrointestinal tract of sheep. It was found that most common cases in surveyed sheep farms were recorded invasion of sheep with strongyles of gastrointestinal tract (in 100% of cases) with an average invasion intensity of 55.47% and an invasion intensity of 14.26 eggs per 1 g of feces. The predominant trichostrongylidae spp. in structure are haemonchus – 54.56%, they also pose greatest danger to sheep, since they are hematophages. Samples from 66.67% of surveyed farms revealed Eimeria spp. with an invasion intensity from 32.2% to 72% and an invasion intensity from 233.15 to 1685.32 oocysts in 1 g of feces. Strongyloides invasion was detected in 50% of surveyed farms. On average, prevalence of invasion was 18.38%. It was found that most critical period with a significantly high degree of invasion in young lambs is spring season (p<0.001), which is characterized by a high degree of extensiveness and intensity of invasion (Eimeria spp. and cryptosporidium).

Invasive diseases of horses are an urgent problem in the horse breeding industry of the Republic of Belarus, as well as in the near and far abroad countries. The main role among the parasitic pathology is occupied by helminths of the small and large intestine, as well as larvae of gasterophilus. In associative course, they are the cause of significant economic losses associated with the growth and development of sick young animals, reduced performance, endurance of animals, increased susceptibility to other diseases, and even the death of animals. Planned therapeutic and preventive measures using broad-spectrum anthelmintics is a priority measure to reduce economic damage in development of the horse breeding industry. The paper provides data on spread of parasitoses of gastrointestinal tract in horses in the Republic of Belarus during period of 2004-2020. The paper presents the species composition of horse parasites localized in the stomach, small and large intestines. Data on extensiveness and intensity of invasions of horses by parasitocenosis of digestive tract in terms of age are presented. Therapeutic efficiency of antiparasitic drugs of various pharmacological groups in mono- and polyinfestations of gastrointestinal tract of horses are studied. High extensibility of Avermectin series preparations (Avermectin paste 1 %, Rivertin 1 %) has been determined for nematodes of gastrointestinal tract of horses and gastrointestinal disease. High efficiency has been obtained from a new complex antiparasitic preparation for horses “Prazimax” in mono- and polyinfestations caused by parasites of gastrointestinal tract, including nematodes of the small and large intestines, larvae of gasterophilus and Anoplocephala perfoliata cestodes. Data on spread of associative course of parasitocenoses of the digestive tract of horses, age and seasonal dynamics will allow veterinary specialists to make timely diagnosis, conduct differential diagnostics, determine the optimal timing of diagnostic, therapeutic and preventive treatments, taking into account the specifics of parasitocenosis.

In the Republic of Belarus, primarily in farms with imperfect technology, parasitic diseases of sheep are widespread, including: nematodes of gastrointestinal tract, strongyloidosis, eimeriosis, monieziosis, trichocephalosis, cryptosporidiosis, etc. Study of impact of associative parasitosis of sheep on the immunobiological reactivity of animal body has recently become more and more theoretical and practical for rational use of drugs in treatment of these diseases. The purpose of research is to study peculiarities of sheep pathogenesis at associative invasions of gastrointestinal tract. The study was carried out at farm “Villia-agro”, Kobrin district, Brest region. Lambs of 2-4 months of age spontaneously infested with parasites of gastrointestinal tract have been selected. Parameters of cellular immunity were determined: number of leukocytes, monocytes, neutrophils, eosinophils, level of rosette-forming T- and B-lymphocytes and humoral immunity: circulating immune complexes, total protein, protein fractions, including proteins of C3 complement system and immunoglobulins, macro and microelements (calcium, phosphorus and iron) in blood serum. With spontaneous invasion of sheep by associations of parasites of gastrointestinal tract, the following changes have been determined: significant decrease in number of lymphocytes, T-lymphocytes, concentration of total protein, albumin, - β- and g-globulins, calcium and phosphorus. Significant increase in leukocytes: Eosinophils and stab neutrophils, a1-globulins , circulating immune complexes. All this together indicates disturbance in functioning of body’s immunity and requires immediate appropriate treatment aimed both at destroying associations of parasites of gastrointestinal tract and restoring immune system of animal’s body. These studies will form basis for development of rational system for therapeutic and preventive measures for associative parasitosis of sheep in the Republic of Belarus, which will reduce economic damage from these diseases and improve quality of livestock products.

Goat breeding is a promising branch of animal husbandry in the Republic of Belarus. Parasitic diseases of goats are studied insufficiently. The presence of helminths from the nematoda and cestoda classes in the gastrointestinal tract of goats has been found. The most common are parasites from the suborder strongylata, especially trichostrongylids. The Eimeria fauna is represented by 6 species, Eimeria arloingi and Eimeria ninaekohlyakimovae are more common. In natural agrophytobiocenoses ticks such as Ixodes ricinus and Dermacentor reticulatusare are widely distributed. A positive effect was obtained from the use of the common tansy for eimerioses, aspen in combination with rowan against intestinal stongilates, and the bird cherry to protect goats from ticks.
