scholarly journals Performance Evaluation of Students in Adaptive E-Assessment using Structural Equation Modeling

In today’s competitive world, students have to learn many skills and assessments are designed to judge their abilities in a more scientific way. Adaptive E-Assessment is a popular mode of evaluating the performance of the learners. It is a reliable approach and is commonly used by educational institutions around the world. An adaptive strategy using multiple choice questions for conducting E-assessment has been formulated for assessing the knowledge level of students. Various statistical measures were used to compare the performance of the students. This study uses structural equation modelling (SEM) to identify the relationship between the various factors contributing to the test score and to assess the reliability of the relationships between these factors.

There is no same image who displayed out in the world because Leader career roles developed always leans on personal character, but it could describe as each person trend to play some a particular role. However the career role developed by nature and environment, impression management upon nurture education and skill training meanwhile involve with final result so that this work supposes career role would significant influence impression management. Hence image could be control if who would like to mold into a particular image on purpose for achievement. In addition to leaders in organization always have more pressure than employees whether performance or profit especial in such economic hardship. So that this work assumes leader career role significant affect to leader impression management and leaders’ image concerns is moderator to interfere with the relationship of these two aspects. At last this work assays hypotheses successful via structural equation modeling. According to the result, this work looks forward to make industries to clear up management problem and digs out more potential crises.

Background: While COVID-19 has rapidly spread around the world, and vaccines are not widely available to the general population, the World Health Organization outlines preventive behavior as the most effective way to limit the rapid spread of the virus. Preventive behavior is associated with a number of factors that both encourage and discourage prevention.Aim: The aim of this research was to study COVID-19 threat appraisal, fear of COVID-19, trust in COVID-19 information sources, COVID-19 conspiracy beliefs and the relationship of socio-demographic variables (gender, age, level of education, place of residence, and employment status) to COVID-19 preventive behavior. Methods: The data originate from a national cross-sectional online survey (N = 2,608) undertaken in July 2020. The data were analyzed using structural equation modeling. Results: COVID-19 threat appraisal, trust in COVID-19 information sources, and fear of COVID-19 are all significant predictors of COVID-19 preventive behaviors. Together they explain 26.7% of the variance of this variable. COVID-19 conspiracy beliefs significantly negatively predict COVID-19 threat appraisal (R2 = 0.206) and trust in COVID-19 information sources (R2 = 0.190). COVID-19 threat appraisal contributes significantly and directly to the explanation of the fear of COVID-19 (R2 = 0.134). Directly, as well as mediated by COVID-19 conspiracy beliefs, threat appraisal predicts trust in COVID-19 information sources (R2 = 0.190). The relationship between COVID-19 threat appraisal and COVID-19 preventive behaviors is partially mediated by fear of COVID-19 (indirect effect 28.6%) and trust in information sources (15.8%). Socio-demographic variables add very little in prediction of COVID-19 preventive behavior. Conclusions: The study results demonstrate that COVID-19 threat appraisal is the most important factor associated with COVID-19 preventive behavior. Those Latvian residents with higher COVID-19 threat appraisal, experienced higher levels of fear of COVID-19, had more trust in COVID-19 information sources, and were more actively involved in following COVID-19 preventive behaviors. COVID-19 conspiracy beliefs negatively predict COVID-19 threat appraisal and trust in COVID-19 information sources, but not the COVID-19 preventive behaviors. Socio-demographic factors do not play an important role here.

The development of green marketing has received the attention of various levels of business around the world. The promotion of green marketing is now shaping all business sectors' practices, including the property industry. Yogyakarta is one of the cities whose industry has been developing so fast. This study explored green purchase intention to succeed in green marketing promotion. It examined how the relationship between green purchase intention with the variables supporting it and measuring its value. This research was completed with two methods: identifying the relationship between the green purchase intention variables (endogenous) with variables and their indicators (exogenous) that affect the value of green purchase intention. The identification using structural equation modelling. While the measurement of green purchase intention values was carried out using a dynamic system simulation. The data was collected through the survey method on 400 sample sizes. The results obtained, a significant relationship between 4 exogenous variables and the endogenous variable and also obtained some prediction value per unit time.

The rising rate of suicidal ideation in adults is a growing concern in the world. In an effort to understand the prevalence of suicidal ideation, and what can be done to prevent it, this study was designed to examine the associations among anhedonia, emotional intelligence, and suicidal ideation. Emotional intelligence was evaluated as a moderator in the relationship between anhedonia and suicidal ideation among Iranian depressed adults. The participants were 217 depressed inpatients at five hospitals in Tehran, Iran, ranging age from 45 to 79 years. Structural equation modeling demonstrated that adult patients suffering from depression that exhibited higher levels of anhedonia and lower levels of emotional intelligence were predisposed to suicidal ideation. Multigroup analysis indicated emotional intelligence as a moderator in the relationship between anhedonia and suicidal ideation. The results emphasize the role of emotional intelligence in mitigating the devastating effects of anhedonia on suicidal ideation.

Poverty is a complex and multidimensional problem that links several dimensions. Statistical method that can explain the relationship between one latent variable with others is Structural Equation Modelling (SEM). The purpose of this study is to create a structural model of the relationship between education, health, economy and poverty in Indonesia in 2017 by using Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Square approach (SEM-PLS) based on predetermined indicators with the results of 11 valid indicators. Based on the model obtained, health has a significant positive effect on education, health and education have a significant positive effect on the economy and the economy has a significant negative effect on poverty. Segmentation based on the relationship of latent variables in structural models can be overcome by Finite Mixture Partial Least Square (FIMIX-PLS) so that it can identify poverty areas in each province in Indonesia with more homogeneous characteristics. The best segmentation result is number of segments (K) = 2 obtained based on the criteria of AIC, BIC, CAIC and Normed Entropy (EN) with an EN value of 0.964 which means the quality of segment separation is very good. Papua and West Papua provinces form one segment in segment 2, while 32 other provinces form one segment in segment 1.Keywords: Poverty, Structural Equation Modelling, Partial Least Square, Finite Mixture, Segmentation.

Governments around the world are increasingly adopting innovative ways that facilitate the easy provision of public sector services through efficient and effective ways. However, the linkages between ICT adoption, human resource (HR) quality, and public sector performance remains under-examined. This study examines the effects of ICT adoption and HR quality on public sector performance on one hand and the mediating effects of HR quality on the linkage between ICT adoption and public sector performance on the other using archival sources of data for 140 countries and a conceptual model based on the technology-organization-environment (TOE) framework. The data analysis using partial least squares-structural equation modeling shows that ICT adoption influences HR quality but not public sector performance directly. However, HR quality was found to positively influence public sector performance. Furthermore, HR quality was found to significantly moderate the relationship between ICT adoption and the public sector performance.

In order to ensure that the Islamic bank is staying competitive, job performance plays a significant role to ensure that the organization could be successful in the future. This study was designed to investigate the effect of psychological empowerment (PE), Knowledge sharing (KS) on job performance (JP) among employees working in Islamic banking sector in Jordan. The study further tests the moderating effects of Islamic work ethics (IWE) on the model. The data were collected using a questionnaire, as the instrument for the primary data collection, with total collected back responses of 357 from Islamic banks employees who have actually participated in the research. Structural equation modeling technique was used to fully analyze the data in order to determine what level of the relationship between PE, KS, IWE and JP were existed. The findings confirm the hypothesis that PE and KS positively effects on JP. Additionally, IWE full moderate between PE and JP. The latter effect is also significant but IWE partial moderate between KS and JP. The findings triggers future researchers to conduct similar studies for other sectors in Jordan, possibly in different contexts and perspectives.
