The concept of face recognition is in the emerging trends nowadays ,because of its wide application range .Usually ,the face recognition is used in the surveillance ,security and Here, Face recognition is used to allocate attendance for a candidate.Deep neural networks is a group of artificial intelligence entirely based on neural networks, because the algorithm will imitate the human brain, so deep learning can be a kind of imitation of the human brain.Local Binary Pattern (LBP) is a basic but also very advanced creaminess operator that names image pixels through thresholding every pixel's district and considers the outcome as just a binary number. If the recognised face is not authenticated or if unauthorised person is identified by the system ,it immediately alerts the server and the classroom door remains closed. In this project we have created our own database with faculty and students of our section using Logitech C270 HD camera with resolution of 720p/30fps

Face recognition algorithms based on deep learning methods have become increasingly popular. Most of these are based on highly precise but complex convolutional neural networks (CNNs), which require significant computing resources and storage, and are difficult to deploy on mobile devices or embedded terminals. In this paper, we propose several methods to improve the algorithms for face recognition based on a lightweight CNN, which is further optimized in terms of the network architecture and training pattern on the basis of MobileFaceNet. Regarding the network architecture, we introduce the Squeeze-and-Excitation (SE) block and propose three improved structures via a channel attention mechanism—the depthwise SE module, the depthwise separable SE module, and the linear SE module—which are able to learn the correlation of information between channels and assign them different weights. In addition, a novel training method for the face recognition task combined with an additive angular margin loss function is proposed that performs the compression and knowledge transfer of the deep network for face recognition. Finally, we obtained high-precision and lightweight face recognition models with fewer parameters and calculations that are more suitable for applications. Through extensive experiments and analysis, we demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed methods.

The Intelligent and Secured Bag is an application-specific design that can be useful for the security of important documents and valuable materials. The bag can carry out various features for daily use such as security check using face recognition. The system uses Artificial Intelligence for more effective results in terms of security in comparison with the existing system which uses fingerprint scanner. The Secured Bag consists of the facility of face recognition for advance security solution. The face recognition with Haar Cascade Classifier which is a machine learning object detection algorithm is used for the locking and unlocking of the bag which contributes in the intelligent part of the project. In order to reduce the forgetfulness of senior citizens and even professionals to pack the required items, RF-ID Technology will be used. It maintains the list of objects present in the bag. The RF-ID tags are attached to all the objects which is to be placed inside the bag. The RF-ID reader is used to read the tags which enters the bag. When any object will be missing from the bag, the message of the list of objects missing is send to the users mobile. For the security of the bag from thefts, magnetic lock is introduced. When the face of the person accessing the bag is not matched with the already existing database indicating that an unauthorized person is trying to open the bag, the lock will remain in the locked position. Thus, the person cannot access the bag. When the face of the person accessing the bag matches with the already existing database indicating that an authorized person is trying to open the bag, the lock will be unlocked and the person can access the bag. All the alert messages and the message of the list of items present and missing from the bag is sent to the owner using a GSM modem. The main advantage of using the Smart Bag is protection from thefts, also the owner of the bag gets informed about the theft and the items missing from the bag through GSM. Raspberry Pi will control all the distinguishable features. The smart bag can be used by almost all people including students, doctors, military people, aged people, etc. In general, it can be used in the daily life without the fear of something being stolen or missing from the bag.

Face recognition plays a vital role in security purpose. In recent years, the researchers have focused on the pose illumination, face recognition, etc,. The traditional methods of face recognition focus on Open CV’s fisher faces which results in analyzing the face expressions and attributes. Deep learning method used in this proposed system is Convolutional Neural Network (CNN). Proposed work includes the following modules: [1] Face Detection [2] Gender Recognition [3] Age Prediction. Thus the results obtained from this work prove that real time age and gender detection using CNN provides better accuracy results compared to other existing approaches.

Internet of Things is considerably increasing the levels of convenience at homes. The smart door lock is an entry product for smart homes. This work used Raspberry Pi, because of its low cost, as the main control board to apply face recognition technology to a door lock. The installation of the control sensing module with the GPIO expansion function of Raspberry Pi also improved the antitheft mechanism of the door lock. For ease of use, a mobile application (hereafter, app) was developed for users to upload their face images for processing. The app sends the images to Firebase and then the program downloads the images and captures the face as a training set. The face detection system was designed on the basis of machine learning and equipped with a Haar built-in OpenCV graphics recognition program. The system used four training methods: convolutional neural network, VGG-16, VGG-19, and ResNet50. After the training process, the program could recognize the user’s face to open the door lock. A prototype was constructed that could control the door lock and the antitheft system and stream real-time images from the camera to the app.

With the massive use of computers, the growth and explosion of data has greatly promoted the development of artificial intelligence (AI). The rise of deep learning (DL) algorithms, such as convolutional neural networks (CNN), has provided radiation oncologists with many promising tools that can simplify the complex radiotherapy process in the clinical work of radiation oncology, improve the accuracy and objectivity of diagnosis, and reduce the workload, thus enabling clinicians to spend more time on advanced decision-making tasks. As the development of DL gets closer to clinical practice, radiation oncologists will need to be more familiar with its principles to properly evaluate and use this powerful tool. In this paper, we explain the development and basic concepts of AI and discuss its application in radiation oncology based on different task categories of DL algorithms. This work clarifies the possibility of further development of DL in radiation oncology.

AbstractA decade of unprecedented progress in artificial intelligence (AI) has demonstrated the potential for many fields—including medicine—to benefit from the insights that AI techniques can extract from data. Here we survey recent progress in the development of modern computer vision techniques—powered by deep learning—for medical applications, focusing on medical imaging, medical video, and clinical deployment. We start by briefly summarizing a decade of progress in convolutional neural networks, including the vision tasks they enable, in the context of healthcare. Next, we discuss several example medical imaging applications that stand to benefit—including cardiology, pathology, dermatology, ophthalmology–and propose new avenues for continued work. We then expand into general medical video, highlighting ways in which clinical workflows can integrate computer vision to enhance care. Finally, we discuss the challenges and hurdles required for real-world clinical deployment of these technologies.

AbstractDeep learning is nowadays at the forefront of artificial intelligence. More precisely, the use of convolutional neural networks has drastically improved the learning capabilities of computer vision applications, being able to directly consider raw data without any prior feature extraction. Advanced methods in the machine learning field, such as adaptive momentum algorithms or dropout regularization, have dramatically improved the convolutional neural networks predicting ability, outperforming that of conventional fully connected neural networks. This work summarizes, in an intended didactic way, the main aspects of these cutting-edge techniques from a medical imaging perspective.

The proposed system generally results a solution to some of the problems which occurs in colleges and schools by providing a monitoring camera with the help of “Artificial Intelligence (AI)” . The main problem which can be occurred is wastage of time in taking the attendance manually or through any biometric sensors. The next problem which can be solved is to control the usage of electricity in classrooms when students are not in class. When the videos are getting recorded with the help of monitoring cameras, at the same time the head counting and face detection of the students present will also be done. When the strength of the class is zero ,the head counting also results to zero. The electricity can also be saved at the same time when people are not present in the classroom. The face recognition is the easiest process which can be done for marking the attendance, where the attendance is marked automatically. This process also helps to prevent the fake attendance. Face recognition and detection is generally based on line edge mapping to attain the identity of the student and also meets the wants of attendance in the universities and schools. The image of the student is to be captured and checked with the database simultaneously and marks the attendance of the particular student. The video gets recorded all the time and checks whether the student remains in class for the entire period. The attendance marking system with the help of technology is very essential for both the teachers and students.
