Technology can be a powerful tool for transforming learning. To be a successful teacher one should be learner always and should have the mind to comprehend and design new methodologies in their transaction process. ELearning courseware is an effective model of teaching and learning framework that can enhance academic achievement of students. In this research, E-Learning courseware is developed for B.Ed curriculum and the effectiveness of E-Learning courseware is studied on academic achievement of Prospective teachers studying B.Ed course. 80 students studying B.Ed. course are selected as sample by convenient sampling method. 40 of which are assigned in the experimental group and 40 in the control group. Experimental Group is subjected to E-Learning courseware and the Control group is subjected to Conventional method of teaching, Pre-test – Post Test non-equivalent groups design is used for the study. Achievement test developed and validated by the researcher is administered to measure the academic achievement of the prospective teachers as pre-test and post-test. Effectiveness of E-Learning courseware is studied on academic achievement of Prospective teachers studying B.Ed course. In the analysis of data, t-test and descriptive analysis were used. Results showed that there is significant effect of ELearning courseware in enhancing the academic achievement of Prospective Teachers. This research opens new avenues in teaching learning process which can empower students.

The outcome-based learning is leading and has set a new trend in innovative class-room instructions.  In Chemistry, the solid-state structures and composite materials are covered in classroom due to its use in day to day life. In this paper attempt is made to present novel handmade model as a tool that provides a desired link between the unit cell representation and extended structure. This model offers visualization stacking pattern that provides simple- unit cell, body- centered and face -centered cubic and hexagonal closed packed cell. Preparing and using molecular handmade model in Teaching-Learning is significant and has a positive impact on academic achievement.  The students handmade models acts as a tool for teaching and it has considerable importance in Science education. Totally 40 students of Grade 12 are selected as the sample for the present study.  Students are divided into two sets - experimental group and control group.  Each group consists of 20 students.  Students of the experimental group are asked to make handmade model of unit cells.  This handmade model of cells and pieces combines into three corresponding crystal shapes and through this students are taught about the primitive cell of solid state. The control group is taught by using traditional chalk and talk method.  The present study is experimental in nature.  The pre-test and post-test equivalent group design is used for collecting data.  The mean deviation and difference of mean are computed for both groups.  The significant differences of both the experimental and the control group based on the variables of pre-test and post-test are tested at 0.05 level by applying t-test. On the completion of statistical analysis of data and research it is concluded that the handmade model of the primitive cells of solid state unit of Chemistry has significant positive effect on the academic achievement of the students in Chemistry at Senior Secondary School level.  Based on the findings it is recommended that teachers should use outcome based Teaching-Learning approach to move up student’s achievement in core subjects.

Teaching programs based on contemporary learning-teaching approaches have been regulated since the 2005-2006 academic year in Turkey. Nevertheless, the researches conducted in Turkey suggested that teachers mostly use traditional teaching-learning approaches in their classroom activities. Therefore, this research aimed at enhancing the students’ academic achievement through the use of argumentation and scenario based learning approaches among the contemporary teaching-learning approaches in order to guide teachers. Experimental design with pre-test and post-test control group was used in the present research. This research was conducted with 45 fourth grade primary school students. The research was conducted with two experimental groups and one control group. Activities related to argumentation-based teaching were administered to the experimental group 1, activities with scenario-based learning method for the experimental group 2, and those of the existing curriculum for the control group. The research deployed an academic achievement test based on the unit of "Let’s Solve the Riddle of Our Body". Independent samples t-test, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) and covariance analysis (ANCOVA) were used during data analysis. Research results revealed that the academic achievement of the students was significantly influenced by the activities related to argumentation-based teaching and scenario-based learning method.

In this research, the effects of STEM (Science-Technology-Mathematics-Engineering) activities on academic achievement of prospective teachers were researched, their opinions on STEM activities were sought. The research was based on a semi-experimental model with pre-test and post-test control group. During the application phase, the topic of Work-Energy subject was taught through STEM based 5E model in the experimental group, while in the control group, the lessons were conducted using traditional teacher centred teaching. The research group is comprised of second-year students in Elementary Mathematics Education taking Physics I course at the Dokuz Eylul University in Turkey. A statistically significant difference was found in favour of the experimental group in terms of prospective teachers’ academic achievement. In addition, the positive opinions of the prospective teachers from the experimental group on STEM activities were that STEM activities included encouraging group work, assisting students to produce original work, enabling them to do research, and ensuring that the information learned is permanent. The negative opinions of them on STEM activities were insufficient time for the application, the dominance of some students during the group work, and difficulties with noise levels in class.

Advancement in technology has brought about information technology. Information and communication technology (ICT) has changed the methods of carrying out activities in different areas of human endeavours. As a result of the world rapidly adopting digital media and information, the roles of ICT in assuring quality education is becoming important and the importance is expected to continue growing.  In this paper, the effectiveness of adopting ICT as a tool for Teaching/Learning Processes and academic performance was investigated and issues militating against integration of ICT were reviewed. A total of 90 questionnaires were administered to respondents who were students selected randomly from three polytechnics in Nigeria. The selected students were classified into experimental group (learning using ICT) and control group (learning without ICT).  Interviews were also employed for selected lecturers. The results show that the use of ICT as a tool for learning has improved the learning outcome of the selected students and the use of ICT for teaching has made teaching very interesting to students with consequential increase in performance of students. Integration of ICT into Teaching and Learning is considered to be a necessary issue for students, educators and education administrators to assure better understandings and effective teachings.

The purpose of the research was to investigatethe effect of activity-based games on the academic achievement of graduate-level pupils in social sciences.An experimental research design with a pre-and post-test control group was used in this study. As pre-test and post-test, MCQ achievement tests containing 70 items were used as research methods for data collecting. The initial stage in this initiative was to collect data on what inspires children to learn. Both groups took a pre-test, and the results were tallied.The project's second phase was to study the effects of variousactivities on academic achievement. Both groups were given an MCQ performance test. The T-test was used to analyze the data. The findings of this study demonstrated that, compared to the control group, mostpupils'marks improved in the experimental group. The mean value showedthat experimental group participants scored 18.77on the post-test, while control group students scored 16.21. According to a post-lesson poll, most students regarded activity-based games to be more engaging than lecture-based instruction.

ABSTRACT This research was carried out to know the effectiveness of implementing KWL strategy to improve students’ reading comprehension of report text and to know whether there is a significant achievement difference between students who were taught with KWL strategy and those who were not. The instrument used was a multiple choice reading comprehension test. Seventy two eleventh graders of SMA Negeri 1 Bae Kudus were selected as the sample. They were divided equally into experimental and control group. The data collection involved pre-test, treatments, and post-test. The result of the implementation of KWL strategy in the experimental group improved the students’ participation, motivation, and interest during teaching and learning process. In addition, the results of pre-test and post-test showed that mean score of the experimental group had a higher increase from 74.58 to 90.97 than the control group (from 72.77 to 87.77). However, the Independent Sample Test showed there was no significant achievement difference between the students who were taught with KWL strategy and those who were not. This study aimed to find out whether teaching-learning reading comprehension using Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) would get better results than using Direct Instruction approach. The research used a quantitative method. The population of the research was students from the Islamic University of Kalimantan Muhammad Arsyad Al-Banjari. The researcher used cluster random sampling to select two sample groups, the control group and the experimental group. The control group with 25 students was the class that continued to use the Direct Instruction approach. The experimental group, with 20 students, was the class tested using the CTL approach. The test was a written test with five multiple choice questions plus an essay test. The test was used to obtain the data. The students’ scores were the data for the study of reading comprehension comparing CTL and Direct Instruction. Based on the results of the study, the researcher found that CTL was more effective than Direct Instruction because the null hypothesis was rejected and the alternative hypothesis was accepted so that CTL was found to be better for teaching reading skills. CTL encourages materials that are related to the students’ surrounding so that it helps them use English related to their daily activities.

The meaningful learning process of an individual is understood separately with his emotional aspect or cognitive aspect. Cognition and emotions are interrelated, and hence in the learning process it requires functions of both the domains. Cognition can be a basis for emotion and the emotional process can have cognitive outcome. Therefore the aim of the study is to examine the effect of emotive cognition strategies on enhancing meaningful learning. The investigator has employed experimental research with a pre-test-post-test-control group design. The size of the sample of the study is 90 first year B.Ed. Student-teachers, 45 in the experimental group and 45 in the control group. The researcher has implemented emotive cognition strategies application in teaching to the experimental group for enhancing their meaningful learning. The data have been collected before and after the intervention through the administration of the tools- A Scale for Assessing the Application of Emotive Cognition Strategies in Teaching and A Scale on Measuring Meaningful Learning of the Learners. The data have been analyzed through statistical techniques. The descriptive analysis shows that there is a significant mean difference between pre-test and posttest scores of the experimental group in emotive cognition application and meaningful learning. The experimental group which had intervention scored higher in the post-test in their meaningful learning. In contrast, the control group had the traditional method of teaching received a low score in the post-test. Correlation analysis shows that there is a significant relationship between emotive cognition application and meaningful learning.

Early stages of reading and writing rest solely on the alphabet.  Learning of letters with infographics in the elementary classes makes learning more easy and meaningful.  The study examined the potentials of infographics in enhancing learning at an early childhood level especially on letters.  The researcher utilized experimental design which including pre and post-test. The package was validated by experts with a reliability coefficient of 0. 77. The findings of this study showed that the experimental group means a score of 30.60 is higher than the control group means a score of 30.50 co-efficient. Moreover, the means score of 30.742 for females and 30.345 for male pupils was obtained. The study concluded that children at the early childhood level could learn better using infographics based approach. It was recommended that incentives should be provided for pre-school teachers to participate in highly effective staff development to help them integrate infographics into their teaching and learning. Also, infographics based approach be used for all subjects in early childhood education in Nigeria
