Abstract Advanced techniques of obtaining products require careful selection of materials for various industries. Titanium alloys are widely used in the aerospace, shipbuilding and mechanical engineering industries. The development of near-a titanium alloys should be considered a significant achievement in the field of metallurgy and heat treatment (HT) of titanium alloys. This article presents a study carried out with the aim of optimizing heat treatment modes for high-temperature titanium alloys obtained by direct laser deposition (DLD). Heat treatment was carried out in the temperature range (700-1000°C), covering three typical temperature ranges, i.e. the temperature range for the partial decomposition of martensite, the temperature range for the complete decomposition of martensite, and the phase transformation temperature were subsequently selected as the heat treatment temperatures. Based on metallographic analysis, the influence of heat treatment modes on the structure, as well as the tensile properties at room temperature, of TA15 titanium DLD-samples.

This research aimed to analyze the batting skill performance on softball using an application of technology. The assessment results can help the coaching process by providing empirical data and become material for evaluation and recommendations for trainers and coaches in the following coaching process. The method used in this research was a descriptive analysis survey. The samples were 21 West Java female softball athletes who were doing training concentration. The measurement of the speed impact parameter was obtained (79.94 ± 7.73) to achieve the 25.06% target achievement. The results of the parameter test on the target obtained a p-value (0.0001) 0.05. This means that the percentage of the results on this parameter had not significantly met the target. The impact time parameter obtained an average percentage of the results of (83.06 ± 8.47). The percentage of the target was 16.94%. The Tukey statistical follow-up test results showed that the impact time parameter had not shown a significant achievement with a p-value (0.0001) 0.05. It concludes that the batting performance of West Java female softball athletes had not reached the stated target. Therefore, it is recommended that the training increase based on the portion and exercise items according to the predetermined parameters.

Mosque construction and expansion in the modern world is a significant achievement, particularly in Muslim majority communities. A mosque is a single building that serves as a center for both religious and social activities. Mosques must be designed to reflect religious beliefs, social values, and the local environment. Aside from being a functional location for salah (prayer), it also has symbolic value as a representation of Muslim religious beliefs and life after death. This study is focused on the visual richness of the mosque's architectural design and the identification of those elements that adds fullness to the experiential qualities of the mosques. This research uses a case study approach to evaluate mosque projects in various locales across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. Various architectural features of mosques were recognized used for adding visual richness in design and then classified based on their historical significance. A comparison of mosques' design architectural elements is carried out. The findings point to a consistency in the incorporation of functional elements, while the aesthetic elements are more locale-specific. The aesthetic elements need to be treated as an important component of mosque design. This work has further elaborated the need for the re-establishment of the importance of aesthetic values in contemporary mosque architecture and recommended its revival.

This paper reports on promoting and enhancing effective teacher professional development in Tanzania: Lessons from Chinese teacher professional development. Teacher professional development is an important aspect in any country for educational achievement. In several years Tanzania has been facing ineffective teacher training and professional development. As a result, most of the teachers fail to plan their professional development as it expected to be. The analysis of findings indicated that Chinese teacher professional development has obtained significant achievement due to the presence of a strong policy, heavy investment in the teacher education sector, and other related factors. In this regard, these lessons are worth to Tanzania which still struggling to have effective teacher professional development through teacher practice. Therefore this study recommended that the Tanzanian government should encourage professional training programs for teachers through financial and material support.

This chapter examines under what circumstances States may use armed force under customary international law and Arts 2(4) and 51 UN Charter. After noting that the use of armed force is generally prohibited and only limited to self-defence, and then only if the target State is under an armed attack, we show that several States have expanded the notion of armed attack. Besides self-defence, the United Nations Security Council may authorize the use of armed force through a process of collective security. Several examples of collective security are offered, as well as the ICJ’s position on what constitutes an armed attack. In recent years, the range of actors capable of undertaking an armed attack has included terrorists. Moreover, the development of the doctrine of the responsibility to protect is a significant achievement.

Abstract As an intrinsic p-type transparent conductor with a wide band gap of 3.1 eV, γ-CuI full of potential has gradually attracted the attention of researchers. However, γ-CuI films deposited by various techniques generally present high haze with a frosted-glass-like appearance, significantly hampering the device’s performance. Herein, a new strategy is proposed, where truly p-type CuI thin films with low haze were successfully synthesized at room temperature. The specular transmittance of CuI film above 85% in the visible region (400-800 nm) can be achieved. The haze of the as-prepared γ-CuI films can be as low as 0.7%. Meanwhile, the as-prepared CuI film possesses a FOM as high as 230 MΩ -1 . This ideal stable p-type optoelectronic performance was a significant achievement among various typical p-type transparent conductive films.

The book (Un)forgotten documentalists, edited by Katarzyna Mąka-Malatyńska and Jolanta Lemann-Zajiček (2020) is a significant achievement in research on Polish documentary film. The review of the collective work, consisting of ten texts preceded by an introduction, becomes the starting point for discussions with selected authors and reflection on the problem of the absence of significant documentary filmmakers in the history of the film. Entire currents are also forgotten, such as a film about art, represented by four out of nine documentary filmmakers discussed in the book. The meanders of life and creativity can be instructive for contemporary documentary filmmakers.

Gums are carbohydrate biomolecules that have the potential to bind water and form gels. Gums are regularly linked with proteins and minerals in their construction. Gums have several forms, such as mucilage gums, seed gums, exudate gums, etc. Plant gums are one of the most important gums because of their bioavailability. Plant-derived gums have been used by humans since ancient times for numerous applications. The main features that make them appropriate for use in different applications are high stabilization, viscosity, adhesive property, emulsification action, and surface-active activity. In many pharmaceutical formulations, plant-based gums and mucilages are the key ingredients due to their bioavailability, widespread accessibility, non-toxicity, and reasonable prices. These compete with many polymeric materials for use as different pharmaceuticals in today’s time and have created a significant achievement from being an excipient to innovative drug carriers. In particular, scientists and pharmacy industries around the world have been drawn to uncover the secret potential of plant-based gums and mucilages through a deeper understanding of their physicochemical characteristics and the development of safety profile information. This innovative unique class of drug products, useful in advanced drug delivery applications, gene therapy, and biosynthesis, has been developed by modification of plant-based gums and mucilages. In this review, both fundamental and novel medicinal aspects of plant-based gums and mucilages, along with their capacity for pharmacology and nanomedicine, were demonstrated.
