The purpose of this research article is to explore the possibility of developing foreign language lexical competencies of students of higher educational institutions specialized in studying languages on the basis of a learner-centered approach. All over the world, at educational and research institutions scientific research has been carried out on the development of educational content and teaching methods, educational technologies, objectivity of control, learner-centered approach and continuity of modern teaching methods, training of qualified specialists based on the best practices. At the same time, special attention is paid to the development of foreign language competencies of future foreign language teachers on the basis of a learner-centered approach, improving the system of training foreign language teachers in information educational technologies. Pedagogical experiment was carried out at three higher educational institutions: Termez State University (TerSU), Jizzakh State Pedagogical Institute (JizDPI), and Uzbekistan State World Languages University (UzSWLU) with the 1st and 2nd year of the bachelor faculties, in language aspects communicative lexical module and was applied at practical lessons on the basis of an experimental program. A total of 463 students of foreign languages and literature (English) faculty at higher educational institutions: 177 students of TerSU, 179 students of JDPI, 107 students of UzSWLU took part in the experiment. The study used a questionnaire developed by the author to collect information about the approach of students to the process of a language learning at universities in Uzbekistan. The survey helped to determine the extent to which students in all groups developed autonomous, independent learning skills and the formation of self-critical assessment skills. The averages collected through the survey were analyzed using inferential statistical methods. Students in the experimental group used lesson plans developed by the author during the academic year. According to the results of the study, the statistical analysis showed that the experimental work carried out to determine the level of effectiveness of the experiment was productive.

The introduction of innovative technologies into the educational process has become an integral part of modern educational systems development. Information-communication technologies varies the teaching-learning process by making it more entertaining for the students and more beneficial for the teachers as it allows using more resources and a wider range of exercises to form and develop students’ skills. In this regard the article analyzes the advantages of the use of Google educational tools for the formation of students’ learner autonomy, responsibility and promotion of pedagogical interaction. It is hypothesized that future foreign language teachers’ and managers’ learning autonomy and responsibility along with learning outcomes can be enhanced by implementing ICT into educational process. The article reviews the notion of information and communication environment of higher educational institutions, analyzes the ways to introduce Google educational tools namely Google Forms and Google Classroom into the daily learning routines of university students. It also provides evidence-based instructional practices along with illustrative examples of its use when introducing new material, giving assignments, initiating reflection, conducting tests and setting deadlines. The questionnaire surveys conducted at higher educational institutions reveal that students exhibit higher levels of responsibility and motivation and display better academic achievements when being educated with the help of Google educational tools. The prospects of further investigation may include substantiation of the organizational and pedagogical conditions of the future foreign language teachers and managers training in the conditions of the information-educational environment of higher educational institutions.

The article addresses the expediency of creating and maintaining information-educational environment at higher educational institutions. The views of scholars on the definition of the “information- educational environment of higher educational institutions” are analyzed. The information-educational environment of Khmelnytskyi National University is described and the peculiarities of the future foreign language teachers training in the conditions of the information-educational environment of higher educational institutions are revealed. It is proved that the information-educational environment has considerable potential for improving the quality of education of the future foreign language teachers. It promotes students’ awareness of the specifics of their future professional activities, develops personal and professional qualities necessary for their future career; gives the possibility to construct individual educational paths and develop students’ creative abilities. A model of the future foreign language teachers training system in the conditions of the information- educational environment of higher educational institutions is theoretically grounded. The model contains the following blocks: target; theoretical and methodological; content and technological; control-productive. The target block of the model reveals the purpose of training and social requirements for a competitive future foreign language teacher. The target block generates other elements of the model necessary to achieve the expected result. The theoretical and methodological block includes the fundamentals of the concept of the future foreign language teachers training for professional activities; methodological approaches, didactic and specific principles. The content and technological block contains organizational and pedagogical conditions describing the main methods and forms of professional training, means and technologies for its implementation. The educational content of the model includes: compulsory and elective courses of the curriculum and practical training sessions aimed at the professional training of the future foreign language teachers. The other element of the model is the identification of stages of its implementation: theoretical and practical, correction and stabilization, reflexive and fixing. The control-productive block determines the formation of components that ensure the readiness of the future foreign language teachers for professional activity (motivational and axiological, cognitive and communicative, pragmatic and practical, functional and personal, evaluative and reflexive), criteria (motivational, educational, operational, personal, reflexive) and levels(low (reproductive), middle (productive) or high (professional).

Theoretical and technological bases of independent learning of future foreign language teachers in Great Britain are researched in the article. It is determined that in the process of future foreign language teachers training at higher educational institutions in Great Britain, there is a convergent combination of classroom and independent foreign language learning therefore independent learning has a significant superiority.The author has characterized technology of independent learning of future foreign language teachers at higher educational institutions in Great Britain. It has been stated that the technology is realized on three stages. Those stages are projective-constructive, organizational-technological and productive. At the projective-constructive stage, the students’ preparation to mastering the content of independent learning at higher educational institutions is being implemented. In particular: the purpose and tasks of independent learning of future foreign language teachers are determined; the common pedagogical and specific principles of organizing independent learning are singled out; its content is obtained on the basis of clearly defined criteria and value-conceptual (traditional, practically-oriented, cognitive, empirical, socially-oriented) approaches; resource support is provided (material, personnel, educational, methodical and informational, resources of control and evaluation).It has been indicated that independent learning is carried out autonomously or partly autonomously. The diversity of learning activities is defined by meaning and purpose of the course, the place of performance and the nature of cognitive activity of students and provided by traditional, electronic and human resources.Pedagogical conditions of effective implementation of future foreign language teachers' independent learning at higher educational institutions of Great Britain are characterized.The productive stage of organization of independent learning of future foreign language teachers at UK universities involves the implementation of independent learning to master skills in professional activities.

The article is devoted to the problem of formation of universal competencies. The purpose of the work is to determine the optimal conditions for efficient formation of universal competencies of intercultural interaction. The authors substantiate the idea that, along with professional competencies, the employers increasingly demand a high level of universal competencies in modern graduates of higher educational institutions. The article dwells on the peculiarities of formation of intercultural-interaction universal competence as a complex characteristic of the graduate’s aptitude to apply the acquired foreign-language knowledge, skills and abilities in standard and professional situations. The research identified the interconnection between the universal professional and general professional competencies. The article considers the subject-oriented methods of teaching a foreign language, which along with the universal competence, contribute to the formation of students’ GPC (general professional competencies) and PC (professional competencies). The basic concepts in respect of the above are presented and analysed; the ratio of maturity of this competence in the process of foreign language teaching is highlighted. A number of methods necessary for the formation of intercultural-interaction universal competence were identified for the development of the educational/methodological complex under the discipline “Foreign language in professional activities” within the system of training for the master degree in the field 38.04.01 “Economics”. The considered subject will be interesting for specialists in different spheres of humanitarian knowledge: foreign language teachers of higher educational institutions, representatives of educational and methodical associations, methodologists.

Education is a determining factor in the socio-economic development of the information society. Digitalization is gradually reforming all spheres of life, and most actively, theeducational system. Today, there is a clear need to learn foreign languages, and the use of digital tools in teaching is a new trend in education. Educational technologies go beyond the usual multimedia tools, as the current generation of students has challenged educators to use cutting-edge channels of communication with young people to co-create educational content on existing networks. Gamification of tasks, virtual classrooms, online courses have become a reality, so the teacher is obliged to engage them as effectively as possible in the educational process in higher educational institutions.

Purpose: to reveal the peculiarities of teaching students of higher educational institutions of specializations of sports games and martial arts ski training. Material and methods. To solve the set tasks, we conducted a study in the 2020/2021 academic year with students of the Kharkiv State Academy of Physical Culture in the amount of 45 people, aged 18-20 years, for three weeks. Students were taught skiing techniques both according to the traditional system (control group) and according to the methodology developed by us (experimental groups). The time for learning the technique of skiing in both groups was the same 15 classes of classical style and 15 classes of skating style for 90 minutes each (according to the work program of the discipline), but the teaching methods in the experimental groups differed. The following methods were used during the research: theoretical analysis and generalization of scientific and methodological literature sources, working curricula and practical experience of teachers; analysis of information on the Internet; pedagogical observations; method of expert assessments; pedagogical experiment; methods of mathematical statistics. Results: as a result of the study, it was found that students of the experimental group (E1) received significantly better scores than the control group for performing the technique of movement in the classical style, the average score - 6.30, and the control group - 5.68 points (t=3,6; p<0,01), for performing the technique of skating style score (E1) was 6.18 points, and the control group – 5,25 points (t=5,2; p<0,01). Students of the experimental group (E2) for performing the technique of classical movement style received an average score of 5.93, compared with the control group - 5.68 points, no significant difference was found (p>0,05), the average score of the group (E2) for performing skating style was 5.90 points, and the control group – 5,25 points, which is significantly better (t=3,8; p<0,01). Conclusions. The use of different teaching methods, taking into account sports specializations, as well as the development of leading motor skills, has improved the learning outcomes of students of higher education specializations in sports games and martial arts ski training. As a result of the use of simulation and special training exercises without skis and on skis at the beginning of classes on the technique of classical and skating skiing, students of the group significantly improved the mastery of ski training on all indicators (p<0,01–0,05). The article is devoted to the topical problem of professional training of teachers of humanities in higher education institutions in Germany. The problems and features of basic competencies that are formed in teachers of humanities in training in higher education institutions are considered. Objectives of the study: to investigate the professional training of teachers of humanities; consider the structure of higher education institutions in Germany; to analyze the presentation of the main material on the professional training of teachers of higher education institutions in Germany. Based on the study of domestic and German scientific sources, it was found that the attention of researchers focused on the study of the development of higher education, the origin and formation of pedagogical education in Germany; theories and practices of teacher training in Germany; comparative pedagogy. The study found that the training of foreign language teachers in Germany is based on ancient traditions and is closely linked to the peculiarities of the development of school education in the country; dissemination and teaching of foreign languages; opening of modern languages in universities of philological specialties; typology of educational institutions. It was found that the system of training foreign language teachers in Germany has gone from the training of a classical philologist to a thorough philological and psychological-pedagogical training.

The article deals with the issue of the effectiveness of using dictogloss as a way of enhancing communicative speech activity, critical thinking and creative potential of students of non-language higher educational institutions in ESP classes. The key stages of the traditional dictogloss are considered: 1) preparation; 2) dictation; 3) reproduction; 4) analysis and reflection, comparing texts created by subgroups with the original or with texts of other subgroups. The main principles (such as the principle of cooperation training and the use of interactive technologies, the principle of the curriculum and the educational process connection, the principle of diversification, the principle of the development of mental, mnemic and perceptual processes, the principle of emotionality, the principle of systematicity and consistency) aimed at ensuring the outcomes and effectiveness of innovation dictations and the ways of their implementation are outlined. The main modified versions of the dictogloss are analyzed and recommendations for their preparation in ESP classes are provided: dictogloss-negotiations, «student-control» dictogloss, student-student mode, «Summary» dictogloss, «Express your own opinion», «Reodering dictogloss», «Add details», «Picture» dictogloss. Dictogloss is determined to be an effective activity for teaching ESP, since it can be applied to different levels of foreign language proficiency and adapted for any specialism. The advantages of the dictogloss are emphasized: it can be used to represent a new topic, to revise and practice vocabulary or grammar material; it does not require more time for preparation than other types of activity; the teacher can change the forms of dictations, adding a competitive element or element of the gamification; it can become a source of motivation for learning a foreign language and a way of diversifying pedagogical techniques and technologies.
