The purpose of the study is to develop an original framework to explore the effects of brand crisis on green purchase intentions and willingness to pay more. This study composes of seven original concepts, which are perceived brand crisis, green brand image, green trust, green brand equity, green perceived value, green purchase intentions and willingness to pay more to develop an integrated model. For this reason, an online survey was carried out in testing the model that includes questions measuring the effects of these variables. Smart PLS structural equation modelling is applied to verify the research framework. A total of 504 questionnaires were collected from Turkish consumers living in Turkey. According to the findings acquired from the structural equation modelling, there is an impact of the perceived brand crisis on green brand image, green trust, green brand equity and green perceived value. Consequently, green brand equity and green perceived value except for green brand image and green trust influence the green purchase intention. Moreover, green purchase intention affects willingness to pay more. Existing studies have shown that perceived brand crisis affects the brand equity, brand trust, brand image, perceived value and purchase intentions. However, there is not any research to shed light on the impact of perceived brand crisis on green brand equity, green brand image, green trust, green perceived value, green purchase intention and willingness to pay more. Therefore, this paper develops a research framework to fill the research gap.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the potential mediating effect of perceived value in the relationship between team identification and intent to purchase collegiate team-licensed apparel. Direct effect, partially mediated, and fully mediated models were compared. The respondents were students (N= 110) attending a large university in the southeastern United States. Participants first completed the Team Identification Scale and then viewed a slide depicting an article of licensed merchandise (t-shirt). Participants next completed the Perceived Value and Purchase Intention Scales. Goodness-of-fit statistics indicated that the direct effect model did not fit the data. The partially mediated and the fully mediated models fit equally well; the latter was more parsimonious and thus was chosen for further analysis. Team identification explained 13.2% of the variance in perceived value; perceived value explained 42.6% of the variance in purchase intentions. The findings indicate that team identification alone did not drive the purchase intentions in this study; it is important to take into account the perceived value of the team-licensed merchandise.

Purpose Grounded on the value-based adoption model and innovation diffusion theory, this study examined consumer purchase decisions of mobile Global Positioning System (GPS) navigation apps. In addition, this study also investigated the moderating role that perceived availability of free substitutes (PAFS) plays in the relationship between perceived value and purchase intention. The paper aims to discuss these issues. Design/methodology/approach Data collected from 219 mobile users were analyzed against the research model using the partial least squares approach. Findings The results showed that compatibility, relative advantage, perceived enjoyment, perceived cost (positively), and complexity (negatively) influenced these users’ value perceptions and purchase decisions. Furthermore, PAFS significantly weakened the positive relationship between perceived value and purchase intentions. Practical implications Based on these findings, the authors provide practical suggestions for mobile app developers to increase mobile app sales. This study also helps advance knowledge of mobile internet marketing. Originality/value This study is a pioneering effort in explaining consumer purchase intentions in the context of mobile GPS navigation app.
