The clamour for better quality graduates by architects in the Nigerian Construction Industry (NCI) necessitates a look into the core competencies and the adequacy of architecture education in preparing architecture graduates for professional practice. 116 self-report likertscale questionnaires from architecture graduates (2009-2015), academics and employers were analysed to establish core competencies developed by the graduates while in school. Descriptive statistics, t-tests as well as Mann-Whitney tests for differences in ratings were employed for the study. Results reveal the perceived adequacy of architecture education for the future career of graduates from the academic perspective. Graduates were most proficient at design related competencies while AutoCAD was still considered the most important CAD competency for architecture graduates in the NCI. The study recommends more frequent evaluations of competencies for employability in collaboration with industry as well as embracing BIM related software in line with global best practices. Abstract Although animals have served as subjects and objects of religion since the Paleolithic, they are often omitted from standard religious studies courses. In this article, I discuss some best practices for introducing students to the study of animals and religion. After outlining some of the benefits of teaching about animals and religion, I explain the pros and cons of the two main approaches: by tradition or by topic. The majority of the article discusses some of the most important topics to include, as well as how best to approach several of them in terms of pedagogy and media. The final section explains the importance of bringing real animals into courses like this, and offers a variety of experiential education techniques for doing so, including contemplative practices.

Mobile technology, in the form of smart phones and tablets, is an integral part of how we connect with information. Educators recognize that these mobile technologies shift the manner in which information is accessed, communicated, and transferred, and that they are infiltrating educational settings. A critical need is rising to prepare educators to effectively embed mobile technology in the learner's educational world (O'Hara, Pritchard, Huang, & Pella, 2013). Attempts have been made for long to classify tourists by activities, interests and opinions (AIOs), by values and even, typology of the tourist based on personality characteristics. Pearce (1993) observes, tourist motivation is in fact “discretionary, episodic, future oriented, dynamic, socially influenced, and evolving” with “attitudes, behavioural intentions, values, preferences, beliefs, needs, and goals thereby presenting spaghetti of overlapping and interlocking concepts”. This research paper is a case study of how ‘Club Mahindra Holidays' flagship brand of Mahindra Holidays & Resorts India Ltd., (MHRIL) started in 1996, has been successful in motivating tourism in general and in India in particular. It also attempts to understand how tourism is based on motivating theories and draw lessons for evolving successful tourism strategies based on the core values such as Reliability, Trust and Customer Satisfaction. The case study will enable tourism organizations to adopt best practices, strategize well for success and contribute to economic development in this era of globalization.

Based on the students spelling errors frequently in the assessment of curriculum design, this article using the method of the similarity degree of the string matching between the error string and the keyword, and then assess the pros and cons of the procedure. First, this paper introduces a simple similarity algorithm on the keywords as the core. Because its limitations, then discusses the similarity algorithm based on semantic tree. It analyzes both cases of be the same or different of the character number of two strings in detail. Finally, provides a specific example to verify the feasibility and accuracy of the algorithm.

Since the introduction of EMD by Dr. Shapiro in 1987, which led to the development of EMDR Therapy, clinical experiences and research contributed to a variety of protocols and procedures. While this dynamic evolution within EMDR Therapy is offering more options to treat a variety of patients suffering from various disorders, there is a greater risk of deviations from the core framework of this approach that would no longer be understood as EMDR Therapy. While research shows that following Shapiro’s standard protocols and procedural steps is important to achieve positive treatment effects, it seems prudent to define the core elements in EMDR Therapy beyond adherence to the standard protocol given the complexity of clinical demands in a variety of treatment contexts. The author proposes that best practices requires not only an adherence to the fidelity of the model, but a willingness to adapt the model in order to best meet the needs of our clients in a variety of clinical contexts. Defining the core elements that constitute EMDR Therapy offers both a structure that has been well established and offers a foundation from which clinical adaptations can be made that are within the realm of what is widely accepted as EMDR Therapy. Such a structure could also be used to define research as well as clinical applications. Additionally EMDR Therapy as a comprehensive psychotherapy approach implies that the therapeutic relationship is an important component and should be considered a core element of this methodology.
