The article deals with the methods and techniques for the development of critical thinking of primary schoolchildren, which are fundamentally different from the reproductive style of learning. The development of critical thinking of students can largely meet the requirements of modernity, namely: the content of education is considered not as a material for learning, but as a material for research; the student in this system is one of the main subjects of cooperation; the teacher, acting as an assistant, encourages students to maximum cognitive activity, maintains a creative psychological climate through co-creativity with students. It is noted that for the quality organization of the educational process and achievement of the set goals it is important to correctly apply the tools and methods of development of critical thinking. The article suggests a detailed description of the basic methods and techniques for the development of critical thinking and features of their application at primary school lessons. It is noted that the technologically correct application of methods and techniques for the development of critical thinking will promote active learning of students and form a culture of critical thinking.

Students in the 21st century are learning by doing and playing. Teachers need to incorporate technology into everyday tasks. Games assist students in the learning process. Once students have learned a task through the playing process, they will remember this much easier and longer than simply doing a worksheet. Research shows students enjoy interactive and engaging activities and will choose these types of activities over pencil and paper types of activities. Teachers must prepare students for the future which involves more critical thinking and technological types of skills. Traditional teaching methods and styles have underused technology tools and pedagogical methods. The 2020 Covid pandemic and remote learning delivery style assisted teachers in developing new tools and methods to reach and teach all students with various and diverse needs.

This study sheds light on The Reality of Distance Assessment, in the Shadow of Corona Pandemic, from the Point of View of Teachers. The study sought to identify the criteria of assessing the distance learning, their requirements, and the steps of designing the distance assessment; in addition to identifying the tools and methods of distance assessment, and the characteristics of each tool. Finally, the study presented a suggested model for assessment, in the shadow of the emergent circumstances. This model depends on the philosophy of the modern educational theories and the givens of the twenty-first century and its skills. The researcher adopted the explanatory scientific method that uses knowledge to explain the phenomena and things via a group of connected concepts that are called theories. Then, adopting the descriptive method, as the researcher has designed a questionnaire that consists of (20) points, distributed on (120) male and female teachers in Lewaa Marka to know the opinions and approaches of the teaching staff about the methods and strategies of distance assessment. The responses of the study sample on the point of "to what extent the study sample knows about the methods and strategies of distance assessment" were average, while the responses of the study sample on the point of "the practical application of the distance assessment process" were weak and low.

Open source communities have had and continue to have a major influence on the evolution of the Internet. By their nature, such communities involve people with diverse coding cultures and skills. Automation has consequently been of major interest to open source software developers for a long time, and many open source tools have been developed to address code variability and sustainability challenges. This chapter discusses why open source communities must automate and the challenges they will face. Solutions and current examples of automation in open source projects are provided as a guide to what is achievable. OpenShift, OpenStack, and OPNFV communities are used to illustrate different approaches and best practices. Two recently initiated automation initiatives are detailed: “Cross Community Continuous Integration” (XCI) and “Cross Testing” (Xtesting). Finally, some recommendations are provided for new projects as a guide to ease adoption of appropriate tools and methods.

Currently, cities are home to more than half of the world's population. The increasing urbanization rates create an unprecedented urban sprawl that worsens the urban climate situation. Urban areas modify their local climate and face the consequent urban climate impacts, which are particularly exacerbated by global climate change. This chapter shares scientific knowledge on how cities affect their climate and how urban spatial planning can mitigate the negative impacts of urban climate. Focus is given on the urban heat island, the most documented aspect of urban climate, directly linked to city spatial characteristics and functions. This phenomenon is explained, and tools and methods to assess it and mitigate its intensity are introduced in an attempt to help urban planners and designers to use climatic knowledge in urban planning to build more sustainable and climate-resilient cities.

A relationship between project management and knowledge management was observed with a detailed level of analysis in this chapter, as analytics tools and methods were presented to define new perspectives for these dynamics. After a theoretical review that advanced the level reached by a previous paper on the same topic a new theoretical background was completely worked, resulting in a base where a deeper way of analysis allowed, at the end, to study practical cases of rich association for PM and KM in practical, ready to apply situations. As a trend for next competitive cycles, tools, methods, and techniques that focus knowledge production for decision making are to be increasingly defined and applied, on one hand enabling organizations to propose new competitive structures and positioning, and on the other hand, presenting a more aggressive, faster, and demanding competitive environment.

The results of family planning services during the COVID-19 pandemic in national scale has decreasedin the number of contraceptive uses reaching 40% in almost all regions in Indonesia (BKKBN, 2020). This couldbe caused by various problems, including an increase in the number of unwanted pregnancies and baby booms orincrease of birth rate. This is due to the obstruction of access to services, delaying access to health facilities dueto fears of contracting COVID-19 and increasing of husband and wife sexual intercourse without usingcontraceptives that inducing pregnancy. Based on the results of Widiastuti's research in 2020, where a survey wasconducted to find out the description of family planning use during the pandemic in the North Kuta District, it wasfound that half of them (53.2%) of respondents were using contraceptives and almost half of them (46.8%) ofrespondents did not use contraception. One of the efforts to suppress the surge in baby births is through the FamilyPlanning program for couples of childbearing age. The aim of this community service is to provide knowledgeabout contraceptive tools and methods in suppressing the surge in baby births. The targets are women ofchildbearing age aged 15-45 years who have not used contraception or who use and do not make repeat visits asmany as 30 people. The implementation of the activity was carried out by assessing the level of understanding ofthe respondents by pre-testing through google forms, implementing counseling, family planning counseling andintroduction of contraceptives and evaluating the material by post-testing via google forms. The results of theactivity show that there is an increase in mother's knowledge about family planning tools and methods, which isexpected to influence the behavior of woman in using contraceptives so that they are expected to anticipate theoccurrence of baby boom.
