The development of the tourism industry in Surabaya has also made the hotel industry grow. The performance of hotel employees in providing services contributes to the development of the tourism industry in Surabaya. Papilio's Best Western Hotel was chosen as the research object because it was one of the best hotels in Surabaya, even in Indonesia according to the Director of National Hospitality. In addition, the Best Western Papilio Hotel has received various achievements from various online travel agents that are rarely obtained by other hotels. This achievement is the result of employee performance. Whether or not the employee's performance is influenced by several factors including the communication climate and reward system. The organizational communication climate and reward system contribute greatly to the success and performance of the organization. By knowing that the organizational communication climate and reward system affect employee performance, organizations can improve communication and reward systems accordingly so as to improve the performance of employees. Therefore, the focus of this research is to explain the influence of the organizational communication climate and the system of rewards for the performance of employees of the Best Western Papilio Hotel Surabaya. The theory used in this study is the organization's internal communication theory, organizational communication climate, reward system, and performance. This study uses an explanative quantitative approach using the survey method. The survey was conducted by distributing questionnaires to 104 employees of the Best Western Papilio Hotel Surabaya. The results of this study show that simultaneously the communication climate and reward system have an influence on the performance of employees of the Best Western Papilio Hotel in Surabaya by 30.2% and the remaining 69.8% influenced by other factors not examined in this study

None of the world-class corporations did not use communication information technology (ICT) in running their business wheels. ICT had become a social engineering technology for the advancement of a corporation. The purpose of this study discussed effect of use of internal media based on PJB mOffice, information accessibility, and corporate communication climate on employee performance. By using organizational communication theory, technology acceptance model (TAM) measured usefulness of PJB mOffice applications, information accessibility, corporate communication climate and employee performance. This study located at Pembangkitan Jawa-Bali Head Office in Surabaya with a sample of 82 permanent employees who installed and used the PJB mOffice application as respondents. Data was collected by questionnaires randomly. Analyzing data used multiple linear regression with SPSS 20. The results showed that the use of android-based internal relations media, information accessibility, and organizational communication climate simultaneously had an effect on employee performance. The most influential factor in employee performance was corporate communication climate. The better and conducive to the corporate communication climate, the higher the employee's performance. The use of android-based media internal relations and corporate information accessibility was not a determinant in improving employee performance.

This study entitled Influence of Organizational Communication Against Employee Performance Administrative Assistant for Economic and Development Secretariat of Bandung. The purpose of this study to analyze the influence of organizational communication to employee performance, develop theories and concepts of organizational communication along its aspects and performance of employees and implement organizational communication theory to solve the problem of employee performance and development Economic Administrative Assistant Regional Secretariat of Bandung. The method used in this research is survey explanatory. The independent variables (X) This research is organizational communication, while the dependent variable (Y) is employee performance. The object of research on Economic Affairs and Development Administrative Assistant Regional Secretariat of Bandung. The results of the research simultaneously reveals that the variables of organizational communication empirically has an impact of 58.6% on the performance of employees consisting of a dimensional quantity of work (Y1), quality of work (Y2), job knowledge (Y3), creativeness (Y4), cooperation (Y5) dependability (Y6), initiative (Y7) and personal quantity (Y8), while the rest is equal to 41.4% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study. Organizational communication through the main form of partial, communication down effect amounted to 49.2%, or more influential communication sebesar7.6%, and horizontal communication impact of 1.72% on employee performance and development Economic Administrative Assistant Regional Secretariat of Bandung.

Iklim komunikasi organisasi merupakan persepsi pegawai mengenai peristiwa yang terjadi di lingkungannya. Kantor Desa Cibalung, Kecamatan Cijeruk, Kabupaten Bogor merupakan salah satu kantor desa yang memiliki berbagai prestasi. Prestasi yang sudah diraih tentu saja tidak lepas dari peran kinerja aparatur pemerintahan desa dan masyarakat yang terlibat dalam menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang produktif dan kepuasaan kerja yang dirasakan. Maka dari itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan iklim komunikasi organisasi dengan kepuasan kerja dan hubungan kepuasan kerja dengan kinerja aparatur pemerintahan desa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif melalui metode survei dengan kuesioner yang didukung oleh data kualitatif melalui teknik wawancara mendalam dan studi literatur dengan responden sebanyak 36 orang. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan nyata antara iklim komunikasi organisasi dengan kepuasan kerja dan hubungan sangat nyata antara kepuasan kerja dengan kinerja aparatur pemerintahan desa.Kata Kunci: iklim komunikasi, kepuasan kerja, kinerja, komunikasi organisasi=====ABSTRACTOrganizational communication climate was the employee's perception of events that occurred in their environment. The Cibalung Village Office, Cijeruk Subdistrict, Bogor District was one of the village offices that had various achievements. The achievements that have been achieved certainly could not be separated from the role of the performance of the village government apparatus and the community involved in creating a productive work environment and perceived job satisfaction. Therefore, this study aimed to analyze the relationship of organizational communication climate with job satisfaction and the relationship of job satisfaction with the performance of village government officials. This study used a quantitative approach through a survey method with a questionnaire supported by qualitative data through in-depth interview techniques and literature studies with 36 respondents. The results obtained indicated that there was a real relationship between organizational communication with job satisfaction and the very obvious relationship between job satisfaction by the performance of the village government apparatus.Keywords: communication climate, job satisfaction, performance, organizational communication

Banking sector is predominantly a customer-focused business that provides a gamut of financial services in aid of advanced technology, prompt communication system and conception of various banks to deal with multinational led environment. Some priority should be given to human resource development in order to emerge as strong and viable financial institution. So, the banking sector should emphasize on employees and how they can be satisfied, engaged and perform better. This study indicates to what extent employee satisfaction and employee performance are interlinked with each other. The purpose of this study is to explore the factors of employee satisfaction and employee performance and to establish a relationship between them. A survey method using a structured questionnaire was used to collect the responses of bankers in SBI, Bhubaneswar region. Having the data collected from 240 filled questionnaires, analysis was carried out using exploratory factor analysis, and to further validate this, structural equation modelling was developed. This was followed by a confirmatory factor analysis to establish the linkage between employee satisfaction and employee performance. The results indicated a significant relationship between employee satisfaction and performance. This study contributes to understanding of the various factors affecting employee satisfaction and performance, especially in the banking sector. By focusing on employee satisfaction, managers can keep the employees more focused, engaged and committed to their work and enhance overall productivity of the organization.

Sexual harassment of women often occurs in Indonesia and is disturbing to society. Based on Komnas Perempuan's 2016 Annual Records, there were 16,217 documented cases of sexual harassment. Along with the times, sexual harassment has penetrated into the digital realm, namely one case of sexual harassment in cyberspace that occurred in 2020 by X baristas. The employee uses Closed Circuit Television to peek at the breasts of female customers and spreads through social media. Based on this case, Komnas Perempuan conducted organizational communication by stating that the actions of former X employees included sexual harassment by means of violence by verbally displaying women's bodies without consent. The formulation of the research problem is how Komnas Perempuan's organizational communication is in addressing the resolution of cases of sexual harassment by X baristas. Based on the theoretical study, this research has used organizational communication theory, public relations, and Komnas Perempuan. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods through case studies by collecting data in the form of interviews, documentation, and literature study. The results of this study, Komnas Perempuan conducted internal communication by suggesting X to restore a safe space and external communication by responding to journalists through groups on instant messaging applications by maintaining a code of ethics to protect victims.Pelecehan seksual kepada kaum perempuan kerap terjadi di Indonesia dan meresahkan masyarakat. Berdasarkan Catatan Tahunan Komnas Perempuan tahun 2016 terdapat 16.217 kasus pelecehan seksual yang berhasil didokumentasikan. Seiring perkembangan zaman, pelecehan seksual merambah ke ranah digital. Salah satu kasus pelecehan seksual di dunia maya terjadi pada tahun 2020 dilakukan oleh barista kafe X. Pegawai tersebut menggunakan kamera pengawas untuk mengintip payudara pelanggan perempuan dan menyebarkan melalui media sosial. Berdasarkan kasus tersebut, Komnas Perempuan melakukan komunikasi organisasi dengan menyatakan tindakan mantan pegawai kafe X tersebut termasuk pelecehan seksual dengan bentuk kekerasan, dengan cara mempertontonkan secara verbal tubuh perempuan tanpa persetujuan. Rumusan masalah penelitian ini yaitu bagaimana komunikasi organisasi Komnas Perempuan dalam menyikapi penyelesaian kasus pelecehan seksual barista X. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskripsif kualitatif melalui studi kasus dengan mengumpulkan data berupa wawancara, dokumentasi, dan studi kepustakaan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Komnas Perempuan melakukan komunikasi internal dengan menyarankan perusahaan atau kafe X mengembalikan ruang aman pada pelanggan. Komunikasi eksternal dilakukan dengan memberikan tanggapan kepada wartawan melalui grup pada aplikasi pesan instan. Tanggapan tersebut diberikan dengan tetap menjaga kode etik untuk melindungi korban.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to investigate how the firm’s internal factors influence employee engagement (EE), which, in turn, enhances the performance of textile employees. Furthermore, the present study pursues to address the indirect effect of EE on the relationship between the firm’s internal factors and employee performance. Design/methodology/approach Data were taken from 355 participants working in textile mills through a survey approach. Structural equation modeling was run to confirm the proposed model and structural relationships. Findings Results highlight that internal communication and reward and recognition are significantly related to EE, except for work‒life balance. Furthermore, EE has a significant effect on the performance of textile employees. Practical implications The present study helps the textile managers to improve employee performance while focusing on the firm’s internal factors of engagement. Proactive internal communication and reward system will help to bring a competitive edge and achieve the organizational goals. The findings also provide managers the information to reduce the organization interruptions in enhancing EE and performance. Originality/value This study covered the hidden gap in the previous literature on EE and performance, especially in the field of the textile sector by employing Kahn’s theory of engagement.

Employee performance is measured by the quality of work, productivity, ability to work independently with little or no direction or follow-up to complete tasks, job knowledge, employees’ interpersonal relationships and so on. Reward systems have long been used as a strategy to motivate employees and increase their performance. Several studies have also suggested that knowledge sharing increases learning which improves employees’ job performance. Yet, in Ethiopia, several organizations haven’t done a comprehensive study on which type of reward system or knowledge sharing practice best fit them. The purpose of this study is to examine the reward system and knowledge sharing practices of two banks, Awash and Dashen, in Adama Ethiopia, and analyze the differences in their employee performance. To achieve this objective this study uses instruments based on intrinsic and extrinsic reward system and tacit and explicit knowledge sharing and their impact on employee performance. The target population are employees of Awash and Dashen bank in Adama, Ethiopia. An empirical study using qualitative data and survey method is employed to conduct this study. A convenient sample is collected from 120 employees in each bank. The theoretical and practical implications of the study are also discussed.

This study aims to explore the contribution effect of individual characteristics on organizational commitment and employee performance. The design of this research is a survey method using a questionnaire. The sampling technique was proportional stratified random. The number of respondents was determined as 125 employees through the table krejcie-morgan of 220 State Civil Servants, obtained 140 units of analysis (State Civil Apparatus at the South Sulawesi Provincial Health Office), only in its implementation there were 15 respondents who gave incomplete responses so that overall only 125 respondents used. The quantitative approach is used to test and prove hypotheses through the use of WarpPLS 6.0. The results of this study indicate that individual characteristics have a significant impact on employee commitment and performance, commitment also shows real results on employee performance. The resulting mediation role test shows that organizational commitment is not stated as a mediator because without the support of organizational commitment, in its implementation individual characteristics are also able to provide tangible results in improving performance.

Purpose: Influence of communication climate and job promotion on employee performance and motivation with discipline and job satisfaction as intervening at PT. Japfa Comfeed Indonesia. Tbk in Gedangan Sidoarjo. The aim of this study is to test and analyze the influence of communication and promotion on employee motivation and performance with discipline and job satisfaction as variabels intervening at PT. Japfa Comfeed Indonesia. Tbk in Gedangan Sidoarjo Research methodology: The samples of this study are 74 respondents consisting of employees permanent of the division warehouse and production. This research applies path analysis by using the program of analysis Smart PLS. Results: The relationship between variables in this study produced thirteen hypotheses with significant influence and five hypotheses with not significant influence. Relation testing between organizational job promotion and motivation variabels has the biggest significance. Meanwhile, the relation testing between communication climate variabels and employee performance variabels has the smallest significance. Limitation: The limitation in this research is one company where the number of samples taken is only permanent employees of the warehouse and production only. Contribution: Results of this study are expected to be able to give contribution to human resources management and to practical management.
