This paper is about issues in museum education, starting from the discussion: how to discuss about indigenous histories and cultures with young children in a museum? How has this subject been dealt with? The expographic gaps are here used as the main setting to think over methodologies that help to talk about these questions. We will seek ways to understand how indigenous cultures have been represented and which points of view may help us to widen the mediations targeted to a child audience. Therefore, based on authors that discuss childhood, education and museum education, we think about potential and essential overlaps between mediation, children, and indigenous cultures and histories. key words: Indigenous Histories and Cultures; Children; Museum Education

Palavras – chave: Dente incluso; Cirurgia Oral; Imaginologia. ABSTRACTThe tooth inserted  is nothing more than a tooth retained or impacted within the dental socket partially or completely that failed to erupt for pathological or simply anatomical reasons after the period of rhizogenesis. The canine, in particular, is of the utmost importance from the aesthetic and functional points of view. The displacement of the canine, even surpassing or approaching the midline before tooth eruption, is more frequent in the mandible than in the maxilla. This work aims to describe the case of a 21 - year - old patient who had a canine included in the mental region, in a transverse position, which was initially visualized on a periapical radiograph and later submitted to radiography with the Donavan technique. An occlusal radiograph showed the positioning of the tooth for the mental vestibular and the intima relationship of the retained tooth with the roots of the patient's central deciduous incisors. Removal of the tooth retained in the denture was performed, removing the tooth completely and osteotomies and odontosections were performed. The patient is in clinical follow-up at 1 year after the surgical treatment. key words: Tooth included; Oral surgery; Imaginology.

Studies have shown that the severity and outcome of acute pneumonia largely depends on the prevalence of the focus of inflammation in the lung tissue, which is determined radiologically. We analyzed and determined a statistically significant effect of the degree of lung tissue damage on the severity and prognosis of pneumonia in young children, taking into account the conditions of infection. In pneumonia, χ² = 47.13 (p <0.001), indicates that the greater the degree of damage, the greater the likelihood of a severe course and unfavorable outcome of pneumonia. Key words: pneumonia, severity of the course, outcome, young children

In this announcement, the various –linguistic and non-linguistic- symbols used in the literary work 'Around the world in 80 days', written by Jules Verne, are examined from an intertemporal and contemporary point of view. The references through these points of view, in matters of multiculturalism and multilingualism, are becoming classical in nature: they concern the necessity of the applied ability to communicate between individuals who belong to different social classes and age groups, speak the same or different languages, come from different cultures, with rights and obligations in their various areas of life, etc. Key-words: linguistics, multilingualism, multiculturalism, semiotics, semiotic systems, symbols

Positioning young children as citizens, now rather than as citizens in waiting, is an emerging discourse in early childhood education internationally. Differing discourses related to young children and early childhood reveal various ideas of children as citizens, and what their citizenship status, practice and education can be. This paper analyses the national early childhood education (ECE) curricula of China and Aotearoa New Zealand for the purpose of understanding how children are constructed as citizens within such policy discourses. Discourse analysis is employed in this study as a methodological approach for understanding the subjectivities of young children and exploring the meanings of young children’s citizenship in both countries. Based on Foucault’s theory of governmentality, this paper ultimately argues that young children’s citizenship in contemporary ECE curricula in China and New Zealand is a largely neoliberal construction. However, emerging positionings shape differing possibilities for citizenship education for young children in each of these countries.

This article seeks to expand the agenda setting theory and its later ramifications, by complementing them with the hypothesis of the articulation function of mass-media. Defined as the capacity of the media to offer people the words and expressions associated with defending specific points of view, the articulation function suggests a new ramification of the agenda setting theory, namely the key words level of agenda setting. Building on the third-level assumption about the transfer of issues and attributes from the media to people’s agenda in bundles, we argue that each issue is in fact transferred together with a set of “key words”, corresponding to the additional sub-topics related to the issue.

Owing to the uniqueness of children´s development, the educational possibilities on the teaching of Mathematics, through activities, in their early life period, are discussed. Based on the Cultural and Historical Theory, current discussion underscores two factors: a) the specificity of children´s development and the organization of the teaching of Mathematics in early education; b) the analysis of a teaching activity for kindergarten children. The authors expect that current analysis will aid the teaching of Mathematics in young children´s education. In fact, systematic and monitored teaching during the early years of life is a crucial condition for learning and for qualitative transformations in children´s psychic development.
