The role of information technology in the current era is becoming large in aspects of life. One of them is in the State Owned Enterprises (BUMN) in the East Banyumas KPH. The technology applied consists of a web-based information system that is used to manage ticket data designated by Ecofo. The application of technology is inseparable from the issuance of risks that arise that can hamper business processes. The purpose of this research is to study emerging issues and ways to save in order to minimize risks later on. This study uses the ISO 31000 method which is a method that specifically discusses risk management which has 5 stages of communication and consultation, determining context, risk assessment, risk analysis, risk evaluation), risk use and monitoring review. The results of this study consist of documentation found that identified 24 risks that have 3 levels of high risk, 10 levels of medium risk, and 11 levels of low risk that can be used as a reference to improve, manage and finance information technology assets in the future.

This paper recommends that there is an important role of Information Technology in the field of women empowerment such empowerment could easily be seen higher in the Urban and rural Tamil Nadu. There is high time for providing training for the women with the support of the administration for strengthening the National Computer literacy Mission. There must be the provision of allocation of budget and funding for testing conceptual framework at the grass root level to assess the effectiveness of empowering women through Information Technology. In India, women face enormous challenges with respect to health, education, and economic empowerment. For example, maternal mortality and malnutrition remain major problems, about third of women are unable to read and write, and economic opportunities are limited by pervasive discrimination and lack of access to market information. Mobile innovation is transforming lives for the better for women in a variety of ways across India. We recognize that the scaling of women-centered mobile programs and applications can only be achieved with improved financial, commercial, and marketing incentives and of course, cooperation. Thorough mobile application training we hope make a start – by financially supporting and recognizing innovative mobile and Web based applications and their potential in a public forum.

This chapter discusses a course partnership involving Day & Zimmermann, Inc. (DZI), a large engineering and professional services company, and Temple University. The course’s main goal was to teach students business process redesign concepts and techniques. These concepts and techniques were used to redesign five business processes from DZI’s information technology organization. DZI’s CIO and a senior manager, who played the role of project manager, championed the course partnership. A Web site with bulletin boards, multimedia components and static content was used to support the partnership. The chapter investigates the use of Web-based collaboration technologies in combination with communication behavior norms and face-to-face meetings, and its effect on the success of the partnership.

This paper will address the effects of Information Technology on the business world. Technology is increasingly playing a crucial role in the success of organizations in the information age. The impact of Information Technology on business has been enormous. Computers and the information they process and store have permeated every aspect of the business world. The fundamental role of Information Technology is to enable businesses to find new ways to drive down the costs of products, processes, and improve performance. We use examples from five different companies/industries to show the different and dramatic effects that IT can have on a business. The television industry is using high-speed Internet to send digital dailies from location to directors and producers in Hollywood. The use of this technology eliminates the old method of dubbing tapes and then sending them via FedEx back to L.A. General Motors has used aggressive outsourcing and web-based services to increase production time. Where it used to take up to four years to get a vehicle on the market, it now takes less than two. With new management and a greater focus on quality and customer satisfaction, an aircraft company has seen its $ 15 million in debt turn into $ 243 million in revenues. These increased revenues were attained by using new software to help it get better organized. AT&T, the once Titan of the phone industry, utilized IT to get out of debt. Specifically, AT&T used web-services to allow all of its different systems to communicate. By using new software to translate three different business processes into one usable code, Cybex International used IT to fix its supply-chain mess.

Kata kunci: Radio, Pengiklan, Metode Waterfall, Manajemen, Website Abstract The role of information technology today is needed by agencies, companies and organizations. Radio becomes one of the most effective media to publish its goods or services to the public. Generally, the way to order ads on the radio is still using a manual system. To simplify and expand the reach, the application is needed that can manage data through a computer and connect to the internet network to facilitate the process of ordering ads. In this research, a web-based application was designed using Waterfall method and PHP programming language and integrated with MySQL database on Radio Yasika Fm Purwokerto. The results of the research in the form of web-based applications that are expected to overcome various needs of advertisers to obtain information about advertising. Keywords: Radio, Advertisers, Waterfall Methods, Management, Website

Government of India is implementing a number of rural development programmes aiming to transform rural lives. Motto of minimum government and maximum governance coupled with increased financial allocations to these programmes makes it imperative to put a robust accountability mechanism so that these programmes meet their objectives.  Role of information technology has been recognised by the Government by in promoting horizontal and vertical accountability in rural development programmes. This paper describes and critically analyses the role of web-based management information systems (MIS) and mobile application based citizen information and feedback system in various rural development programmes and also suggest ways to strengthen these two mechanisms.

The increasing importance of the information revolution and terms such as ‘speed’, ‘disorientation’, and ‘changing the concept of distance’, has provided us with tools that had not been previously available. Technological developments are moving toward Fluidity, which was previously unknown and cannot be understood through modern tools. With acceleration of the rhythm in the age we live in and the clarity of the role of information technology in our lives, as also the ease of access to information, has helped us to overcome many difficulties. Technology in all its forms has had a clear impact on all areas of daily life, and it has a clear impact on human thought in general, and the architectural space in particular, where the architecture moves from narrow spaces and is limited to new spaces known as the ‘breadth’, and forms of unlimited and stability to spaces characterized with fluidity. The research problem (the lack of clarity of knowledge about the impact of vast information flow associated with the technology of the age in the occurrence of liquidity in contemporary architectural space) is presented here. The research aims at defining fluidity and clarifying the effect of information technology on the changing characteristics of architectural space from solidity to fluidity. The research follows the analytical approach in tracking the concept of fluidity in physics and sociology to define this concept and then to explain the effect of Information Technology (IT) to achieve the fluidity of contemporary architectural space, leading to an analysis of the Skidmore, Owings and Merrill (SOM) architectural model. The research concludes that information technology achieves fluidity through various tools (communication systems, computers, automation, and artificial intelligence). It has changed the characteristics of contemporary architectural space and made it behave like an organism, through using smart material.
