The purpose of this study was to determine the teachers' challenge in conducting online learning at SMA Candimas Pancasari The design of this research is descriptive qualitative. In this study, the challenges of teachers in online teaching were analyzed and described descriptively. The findings in this study are about the challenges of teachers in conducting online learning at SMA Candimas Pancasari and how to overcome the challenges. Internet connection is one of the main challenges in online teaching. Internet connection is influential in online learning because some teachers and students live in difficult signal areas. This poor internet connection makes online learning unable to be 100% effective. Teachers have ways of overcoming these challenges by way of offline (LURING) for some students who have problems and provide a schedule to come to school. Teachers can overcome these challenges with various strategies during online learning.

Covid-19 pandemic condition demands the learning activities to be conducted online. The current study aims to investigate the types of humor inserted by the teacher in the EFL online teaching-learning activities, and students responses toward the teachers humor. The participants of this descriptive qualitative research are an EFL teacher and 29 students of the 2nd grade at SMA Muhammadiyah Barru. To collect data about the types of humor used by the teacher, the researchers directly observe the online learning activities conducted by the teacher and his students. For gaining the deepest data about students responses toward the teachers humor, the researchers randomly interview 10 from those 29 students. The researchers found that in the online teaching-learning activities, the teacher inserted humorous words that based on the theory were classified into pun fan, joke, innuendo, malapropism, and absurdity. Besides that, the researchers also found new types of humor used by the teacher, which were then named as local humor and plesetan humor. From the interview result, it is found students responses towards the teachers humor indicate that humor maintains students focus in learning activities, stimulates students to solve problems quickly, and keeps students self-confidence in online learning.

The use of online teaching has increased rapidly, especially since the start of the global pandemic of COVID-19. K–12 teachers in Saudi Arabia, like many teachers globally, found themselves with a new way of teaching because of the pandemic. Thus, this study examined the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT) in elementary school teachers’ acceptance of online learning. We tested whether UTAUT’s four key factors (performance expectancy; effort expectancy; social influence; and facilitating conditions) affect Saudi Arabian elementary school teachers’ acceptance of using online learning. We found that performance expectancy, social influence, and facilitating conditions altogether predicted teachers’ use of online learning as the analysis of the multiple regression outcome found that 60.2% of the variation was affected by these variables.

The sophisticated information and technology (IT) development can be the answer for various problems post the covid-19 pandemic, particularly the teaching and learning challenges. The role of IT that is booming nowadays is online learning. Online learning is obviously different from regular learning. It serves as media that connect teachers and students who are being remote from one another at any time and anyplace. There are various media utilized to perform online learning such as WhatsApp, Google Meet, Zoom, Google Classroom, and other e-learning platforms. Among all these media, though, WhatsApp apparently appointed as the simplest and easiest media to access in all levels of education. In the rapid development of religion-based schools in Indonesia, especially Islam, this study intended to determine the problems experienced by students, parents, and teachers in Islamic primary school (Madrasah Ibtidaiyah) during online learning due to the pandemic Covid-19. This was a descriptive study using the online survey method. The data was collected using online open-ended questionnaires to 136 participants of elementary school students, parents, and teachers. It was found that students preferred play to study, they were lack of discipline in learning and felt bored studying at home. Whereas, the entire phone's memory, unstable internet connection, and lack of budget for internet connection were the most obstacle factors faced by parents and teachers. The teachers also had unlimited working time. Parents were also challenging to explain the materials for their children, challenging to build students' motivation, difficult to divide the time between work and guide their children to study. Therefore, the researcher recommends (1) applying learning rules to discipline students learning activities during online learning, (2) consulting with teachers or find appropriate sources to explain difficult materials i.e. free access to online learning media provided by the Ministry of Education and Culture (MoEC) to enrich learning sources, (3) creating a comfortable learning atmosphere, trying to learn outdoor and interspersed with fun activities are essential methods to kill children boredom in online learning, and (4) equipping teachers with online learning skills i.e. the use of technology, software, and teaching online method in long term teacher education program (Pendidikan Profesi Guru/PPG) to improve teachers' teaching quality in online teaching.

Abstract Purpose The Nationwide lockdown due to COVID-19 has prompted medical faculty all across Indian sub-continent to start online classes, with no prior sensitization and experience. This study was planned to assess the perceptions of medical students on online teaching. Methods The data was collected from medical students across India, through an anonymous online survey. Their feedback and perceptions regarding online teaching were recorded and analyzed. Results Of the 1256 complete responses received, > 60% of the students reported online lectures to be less interesting, less interactive and less engaging. They disagreed that online learning gives stronger sense of community among students and are capable of replacing the traditional didactic lecture format but were of the opinion that online learning encourages medical students to exert greater control over their learning by allowing flexibility over content and pace. The majority of students felt online teaching is a better opportunity for introvert students to express themselves through chat messages and it requires more self-direction and discipline. Conclusion The results showed that students were not much satisfied with online teaching. The possible reason could be lack of awareness of faculty about the available online teaching-learning strategies. To make online teaching more interesting and interactive, medical educators should more often engage in E-learning in an effort to come up with innovative approaches to train medical students.Teachers must undergo faculty development training to learn the use of technology in teaching. Students should also be sensitized on the various online tools available for learning and assessment.

The aim of this study is to evaluate the perceptions and challenges of Albanian students during online learning carried out due to COVID-19 pandemic. The students were invited via email to give their perception of ongoing online learning. Responses were obtained from 627 college students from various study fields, such as natural, medical, and life sciences. The results showed that students had a more positive attitude towards the classroom learning environment. The main challenges that students faced were the unavailability of internet connection and the lack of technology devices. Students enrolled in technology-based programs and also those with high academic performance were more comfortable and satisfied with online classes (p0.001). The % of students who preferred the learning process be continued in the classroom was higher than those who preferred online education or a combination of both on-campus and online learning environments (p0.001). Students firmly state that online learning cannot replace the classroom. The findings suggested that Albanian students are not familiar enough with technology-based education. Online teaching must be integrated gradually into Albanian education depending also on students’ characteristics. The learning process must be effectively organized by professors, taking into account students’ dissatisfactions and difficulties with e-learning and considering the overall limitations of this method.
