This study is aimed at exploring the writing ability improvement process of group B students in TK Nursa and investigating to what extend the processing result of writing ability can be improved through sand paper alphabet. This study was a classroom action research using Kemmis and Mc. Taggart research model. This study was conducted in 2 cycles with 6 meetings in each cycle where every cycle consisted of the following steps: planning, action and observation, reflection. The sample of this study was 12 Group B students comprissing of 5 male students and 7 female students. The instruments used in this study was observational sheet of students activities using sand paper alphabet. The data in this study were quantitative and qualitative data. Quantitative data were analyzed by using descriptive statistic to compare the result from the first and second cycle. While qualitative data from field notes and interview were analyzed through the following steps: data reduction, data display and data verification. The results of this study show that there is the improvement of writing ability through sand paper alphabet, proven by the writing ability mean score in pre-cycle which was 50,17 % improve to 67,15 % in cycle I and keep increasing becoming 76,04 % in cycle II.

The study identifies appropriate Mind Mapping techniques to enhance the Tourism and Business Management Students’ writing ability. This particular research was categorized as action research which consists of some steps namely: planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. There were two kinds of data used in this research, qualitative data and quantitative data. The qualitative data were gained from classroom observation and interview and transformed into field notes and interview transcripts by using qualitative data analysis. The implementation of mind mapping as one of techniques successfully improved students’ ability and motivation in learning writing. Mind mapping helped the students in generating and developing their ideas and help them easily in way of collecting information in writing descriptive text about tourism destination.

 The paper intends to examine the irregular attendance of students in their class and its relation to their academic achievement in five central campuses of Mid- Western University. This study followed descriptive study based on quantitative and qualitative data. Quantitative data were obtained from 172 students selected by non-proportional stratified sampling. Qualitative data were obtained from the campus chiefs, heads of instruction committees and teachers of the central campuses selected purposively. A mixed questionnaire was employed for quantitative data and open ended questionnaire was used to collect qualitative data. The study showed that near about half portion of respondents responded that they were sometimes irregular in their class. Few students (4.45%) who were never irregular belonged to the category of having knowledge of irregular attendance. Higher portion (29.57%) of the male students were always irregular than the female students. The high portion of Master's level students were always irregular than the Bachelor's level students. Chhetri students were always irregular than other castes. The higher percentage (23.07%) of 20 to 25 years’ age group students were always irregular than other age groups. The percentage of irregular students seemed higher in central campus of Humanities and Social Science, Education and Management. Majority of the participants pointed out that the University related factors are main reasons for their irregular attendance. The study showed that there is a positive significant relationship between class attendance of students and their academic achievement.

The purpose of this research was to determine the process of implementation of learning activities using storytelling methods with dioramas media in improving the language skills of children in group B and to know the extent of the results of improving children's language skills through storytelling methods with dioramas in group B. The method used in this research is an action research which refers to the model of a Classroom Action Research Kemmis and Mc. Taggart consist of four phase: planning, action, observation and reflection. This research consist of two cycles, each cycle consist of 6 times in actions. Analysis of the data used quantitative and qualitative approaches. Analysis of quantitative data used descriptive statistics that compare the results obtained from the first cycle and the second cycle. While the analysis of qualitative data used analyzing data from the field notes and interviews during the research by steps of data reduction, data display and data verification. The results showed an improvement in language skills through storytelling methods with dioramas, as evidenced by the average pre-action language proficiency score of children by 39%. Then increased in cycle I by 20% to 59%. Furthermore, from cycle I to cycle II children's language skills increased by 30% from 59% to 89%. So that the total improvement of children's language skills ranging from pre-action, cycle I to cycle II 39% which is 59% to 89%.

<p>This article is aimed to describe whether Total Physical Response can enhance the students’ vocabulary mastery and the students’ attention during the implementation of Total Physical Response. The Classroom Action Research is adopted as the research design. The data were collected by conducting observation, interview, test and making field notes. The qualitative data were analyzed by Miles and Huberman’s method namely data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Meanwhile, the quantitative data were analyzed by using non-independent t-test and simple statistical method. Based on the data collected from 32 students of one elementary school in Surakarta in the academic year of 2017/2018, the findings show that the implementation of Total Physical Response can enhance the students’ vocabulary mastery and there are active students in the classroom during the implementation of Total Physical Response.<strong></strong></p>

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan karakter siswa kelas IV SDN 3 Sukaluyu Bandung melalui penerapan pembelajaran kompetitif dalam pembelajaran bola voli. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas (Classroom Action Research). Subjek penelitian merupakan siswa kelas IV yang berjumlah 35 Siswa dari 24 siswa laki-laki dan 10 siswa perempuan. Penelitian ini menggunakan model Kemmis dan Mc Taggart, penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Dengan menggunakan desain penelitian atau langkah-langkah penelitian tindakan yaitu, Perencanaan (planning), Tindakan (Action), Pengamatan (Observing), dan Refleksi (Reflecting). Aspek karakter pada penelitian ini meliputi tanggung jawab, sportivitas, dan kerjasama dinilai dengan menggunakan teknik observasi. hasil penelitian di dapat hasil proses pembelajaran siswa Pra siklus 28,82%, pada siklus I tindakan I (37,63%), siklus I tindakan II (43,92%), siklus II tindakan I (53,06%), dan siklus II tindakan II (63,43%). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran kompetitif dapat mengembangkan karakter siswa kelas IV SDN 3 sukaluyu Bandung dalam pembelajaran bola voli. AbstractThis study aims to develop the character of fourth grade students of SDN 3 Sukaluyu Bandung by using the application of competitive learning in volleyball learning. The methods used is classroom action research (Classroom Action Research). The subjects of the fourth grade study were 35 students from 24 male students and 10 female students. This research uses Kemmis and Mc Taggart model, this research is conducted in two cycles. By using research design or action research steps that is, planning (planning), Action (Action), Observation (Observing), and Reflection (Reflecting). Instruments in this study using student character observation sheets, field notes, documentation, and evaluation. Based on the results of the research in the results of the learning process of students Pre cycle 28.82%, in the first cycle action I (37.63%), cycle I action II (43.92%), cycle II action I (53.06%), and second cycle II action (63,43%). From the results of data processing and data analysis can be concluded that the application of competitive learning can develop the character of fourth grade students SDN 3 sukaluyu Bandung in learning volleyball.

<p>This research is done at SMK Negeri 1 Aramo. The subject of this research is the tenth grade which consists of 16 students, 8 girls and 8 boys. While the objects of this research are the implementation of Debate Technique, and the students’ ability in speaking. It is conducted by using Classroom Action Research (<em>CAR</em>) that consists of four stages in each cycle. They are planning, action, observation, and reflection. The data will be analyzed in qualitative data and quantitative data.</p><p>The result of the data analysis in the first cycle is not satisfied. That’s why, the researcher continues to the second cycle. In the second cycle, the students get improvement in speaking. One student (6%) in the less level, 4 students (25%) in adequate level, 11 students (69%) in good level. The average of the students’ score is 65. Then, the result of field notes in the first meeting, the percentage of the students who are active is 75%, creative is 69%, and cooperative is 63%. While, in the second meeting, the percentage of the students who are active is 94%, creative is 94%, and cooperative is 100%. The average of the students’ score in the second cycle gets improvement and reaches the Minimum Competence Criterion (<em>MCC</em>) target fixed at the tenth grade of SMK Negeri 1 Aramo. Then, the researcher does not continue the research to the next cycle.</p>From the result of this research, the researcher concludes that Debate Technique is an active and creative learning process in teaching speaking, working in a group and also sharing knowledge and ideas to others.

This thesis discusses about the improving students’ vocabulary mastery by using pictures media to the seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 21 Medan. This study applies pictures, one of media which can be used by the teacher to build students’ mastery of vocabularies. To master the language, vocabulary is important element in learning process. This statement is supported by Thornbury. He said that without vocabulary nothing can be conveyed. This study is a field study in two cycles; each cycle consists of planning, action, observation, and reflection. In collecting data, I used qualitative and quantitative data. The qualitative data are observation sheet, and questionaire and field notes. The qualitative data were collected through observing the teaching learning process, holding the discussion with the teacher, and taking photographs of the teaching learning process. The quantitative data are pre-test and post-test to measure the students’ vocabulary mastery by using pictures media. The instruments for collecting data were observations checklist, field notes, and photographs. This study concludes that the students’ vocabulary mastery is improved by using pictures media. It can be seen from the means score of pre test is 65, and post test is 78. In additional, the implementation pictures media are successful to help the students memorize and understand new words easily.

This study addresses how writing games improve acceleration students� writing narrative achievement, also observe how students� behavior during playing the games and also the teacher on conducting the games along the research. This study has been conducted in acceleration students. It uses classroom action research, the data analyzed from qualitative and quantitative data. The qualitative data are about teacher�s interview and students� questionnaire, while the quantitative data is about their scores on writing narrative. To solve the problem, the teacher has implemented Writing Games as a technique. Writing Games contain of games which tend to writing ability and in this case, the teacher chose two kinds of writing games; they are �Silly Story� and �What�s Next?�. �Silly Story� focuses on students� ability on writing sentences and �What�s Next?� focuses on students� ability on making paragraph. This research consists of two cycles and each of it has planning, action, observation and reflection. These findings implicate that acceleration students were interested with writing games and involved in it well. However, during the research, especially in the first cycle, there was still one group was less active in �Silly Story� because they could not discuss each other and the group was quiet big.�

ABSTRACTSmooth motor skills are abilities that involve muscles in certain parts of body, such as fingers. One of the activities that can improve the fine motor skills of early childhood is through collage activities made from wood powder. This study aims to improve the fine motor skills of early childhood through collections made from wood powder in group B in RA Yasbiman Al-Munawar Tasikmalaya District. The fine motor aspects studied are the motion of both hands, the skill of moving the limbs associated with the fingers, and the skills are able to coordinate the eye by hand. This type of research is Classroom Action Research. The research model from Kemmis and Mc. Taggart. The Data analysis in this study are used qualitative data and quantitative data. Subjects in this study were early childhood group B RA Yasbiman Al-Munawar amounted to 15 people, namely 6 boys and 9 girls. The results of this study showed that the fine motor skills of children have increased after giving them the collage activity of wood powder. ABSTRAKKemampuan motorik halus adalah kemampuan yang melibatkan otot-otot pada bagian tubuh tertentu seperti jari tangan. Salah satu kegiatan yang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan motorik halus anak usia dini yaitu melalui kegiatan kolase berbahan serbuk kayu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk peningkatan kemampuan motorik halus anak usia dini melalui kolase berbahan serbuk kayu pada kelompok B di RA Yasbiman Al-Munawar Kabupaten Tasikmalaya. Aspek motorik halus yang diteliti antara lain, keterampilan gerak kedua tangan, keterampilan menggerakan anggota tubuh yang berhubungan dengan jari-jemari, dan keterampilan yang mampu mengkoordinasikan mata dengan tangan. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Dengan model penelitian Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini peneliti menggunakan data kualitatif dan data kuantitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah anak usia dini kelompok B RA Yasbiman Al-Munawar berjumlah 15 orang, yaitu 6 orang anak laki-laki dan 9 orang anak perempuan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa kemampuan motorik halus anak mengalami peningkatan setelah diberikan kegiatan kolase berbahan serbuk kayu.

Penelitian ini berupa penelitian tindakan yang bertujuan menerapkan penggunaan TTS sebagai media pembelajaran IPA untuk meningkatkan prestasi dan kreativitas siswa pada materi klasifikasi materi di kelas VII.Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam dua tahapan yang masing-masing tahapan terdiri dari satu kali pertemuan.Setiap tahapan terdiri dari siklus perencanaan (planning), tindakan (action),pengamatan (observation) dan refleksi(reflecting). Lokasi penelitian di laksanakan di SMP Negeri 3 Kecamatan Sunggal,Kabupaten Deli Serdang,sampel penelitian sebanyak 34 orang Siswa yang terdiri dari 17 0rang perempuan dan 17 orang laki-laki pada semester ganjil Tahun Ajaran 2016-2017.Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian terdiri atas data kualitatif yang di dapat melalui pengamatan dan catatan di lapangan,serta data kuantitatif yang di dapat dari hasil belajar.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media TTS telah meningkatkan prestasi dan kreativitas Siswa pada materi klasifikasi materi di kelas VII.Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan pada tahap pertama di dapat ketuntasan belajar sebesar 60% dan pada tahap kedua didapat peningkatan hasil belajar sebesar 75%,sedangkan kreativitas pada tahap pertama 60% dan pada tahap kedua meningkat 85%.   This research is action research that has the aim of applying the use of cross puzzle (Teka Teki Silang) as a science learning media to improve student achievement and creativity in material classification lessons in class VII. This research was conducted in two stages, each of which consisted of one meeting. Each stage consisted of the cycle of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The location of the study was carried out in SMPN 3 Sunggal, Deli Serdang District. A sample of 34 students consisting of 17 students female students and 17 male students in the odd semester of the 2016-2017 Academic Year. The data used in this study consisted of qualitative data and quantitative data. Qualitative data is obtained through observation and recording. While quantitative data is derived from the results of learning. Based on the results of observations in the first stage, the percentage of learning completeness obtained was 60%. In the second stage, there was an increase in learning outcomes by 75%. For the creativity of students in the first stage reached 60%, and in the second stage increased by 85%.
