Abstract - Currently, Early Childhood Education Institutions (PAUD) are starting to receive many demands, ranging from the demands of ever-changing national curriculum standards, environmental demands, demands from parents and demands from the development of science and technology. So that idealist ideals emerge which can eliminate the nature and basic principles of education in early childhood. One of the functions of the school is to teach cultural values to remain in line with an increasingly advanced and complex society without leaving cultural culture. Schools have a big role in maintaining the existence of these noble values. The method used is descriptive quantitative research, namely research that uses statistics and many use hypothetical verification logic. The approach starts with deductive thinking to derive the hypothesis, then perform testing in the field, while the hypothesis is drawn based on empirical data. To build the values of local wisdom from an early age to children, starting with the introduction and refraction of daily behavior, it has become part of the internalization of the values of local wisdom as an effort to implement education based on local excellence.

Keywords - Early Childhood, Local Wisdom, Parenting Patterns,

Learning in Early Childhood Education (ECE) today should adjust the 21st century competency framework. In this case, learning innovation is needed to actualize a generation that is creative, innovative, critical thinking, able to communicate and collaborate. STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Art Mathematics) - based ECE learning is currently seen as an approach that aims to stimulate creativity and prepare children in a world of work that is full of innovation and invention. Research shows that there is a positive relationship between STEAM experience at early age and school success in the future. The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of STEAM-based ECE learning in Semarang City. Three ECE schools that have implemented STEAM-based learning in Semarang City were included as research subjects. The research methods used were qualitative with observation, interview and documentation as a data collection technique. The research focus of the research results include: 1) Story times in STEAM class, 2) STEAM Processes in learning, 3) STEAM activities in class. Data analysis results show that the implementation of STEAM-based learning is not fully integrated, so assistance by expert teams is needed and there is no comprehensive learning media tool.

Children’s right to participate in all matters and decisions affecting them has gained recognition in society. Its promotion is recommended from an early age – namely, in early childhood education settings – and it is described as benefiting children, adults and the community in general. Given the complex and polysemic meaning of participation, different conceptualizations, models and perspectives have emerged. In this article, the authors provide a theoretical overview, describing relevant models, concepts and contributions from distinct perspectives and fields of knowledge – sociological, educational, developmental and sociocultural – as well as contributions from social policy. This overview is particularly relevant to inform research and practice about children’s participation in early childhood education.

Objects in early childhood education (ECEC) experiences have begun to receive a great deal more attention than ever before. Although much of this attention has emerged recently from new materialism, in this paper we turn to Merleau-Ponty’s phenomenological concern with the (in)visibility of ‘things’ to illuminate the presence of objects within infant transitions. Drawing on notions of écart and reversibility, we explore the relational perceptions objects are bestowed with on the lead up to, and first day of, infant transitions. Recognizing the intertwining subjectivities that perceive the object, a series of videos and interviews with teachers and parents across three ECEC sites in Australia and New Zealand provided a rich source of phenomenological insight. Our analysis reveals objects as deeply imbued anchoring links that enable relational possibilities for transitions between home and ECEC service. Visible and yet invisible to adults (parents and/or teachers) who readily engage with objects during earliest transitions, the significance of things facilitates opportunities to forge new relationships, create boundaries and facilitate connections. As such, our paper concludes that objects are far more than mediating tools, or conceptual agents; they provide an explicit route to understanding with potential to play a vital role in supporting effective early transitions when granted visibility within this important phenomenon.

The skills that must be mastered in the 21st century were creativity, critical thinking, communication, and collaboration. This was in line with Bloom's theory that creativity was the highest ability in aspects of cognitive development. Therefore important creativity was given to Early Childhood Education. Early childhood learning to stimulate creativity was done through various approaches. The approach applied didn’t yet refer to the needed analysis that was in accordance with the standards of early childhood learning. The approach to stimulating the creativity of early childhood needed to be refined by referring to the stages of the child, namely learning through play. Playing must be able to stimulate the goals to be achieved. The application of playing based on reggio emilia’s approach to stimulate the development of early childhood creativity. The method used was literature study by conducting a study of books and journals. The results of the analysis of theoretical studies state that playing based on reggio emillia’s approach could help stimulated children's creativity after an early age. This was because the aplication of playing based on reggio emillia’s approach prioritizes children's freedom in exploring the surrounding environment. This exploration activity will actively foster children's imagination. Playing based on reggio emilia’s approach involves an active role in early childhood. Creativity requires space to move and playing based on the reggio emillia approach as the right link to help stimulated early childhood creativity.

(BRAZIL, 2012). We understand that texts and legal laws, even if they are national references, are meaningful in their context and therefore are universal practices, these are revealed in the action of more rigorous than the right of speech and meaning. That is, as rough as legal guidelines are prescribed and universal, what gives meaning to the text and to knowledge is the subject who lives. Keywords: Identity. Child. Personal and social formation. This study aims at describing and analyzing the internalization of national awareness through raudlotul athfal (RA; an Islamic early childhood education institution) with the spirit of Aswaja an-Nahdliyah. Aswaja an-Nahdliyah is an ideology adopted by Nahdlatul Ulama, a major Islamic religious organization in Indonesia. This study argues that the internalization of the national awareness needs to be instilled from early age to anticipate the influence of globalization which is feared to erode the original character of a nation. Within the study, the qualitative method was adopted in order to answer two research questions: (1) how Islamic early childhood educational institutions develop nationalism awareness through the teachings of Ahlusunnah wal Jamaah; and (2) how the institutions construct the awareness of nationalism through the teachings of Ahlusunnah wal Jamaah. The results of the study show that the internalization of nationalism awareness through Islamic early childhood education institutions with the Aswaja an-Nahdliyah’s spirit has been carried out through curriculum content which has been systematically arranged in each research subject with the principle of considering early childhood characteristics. At the same time, the results of the study also show that the construction of nationalism awareness in the Islamic early childhood education institutions can be seen in Islamic holidays and national activities which were held on the Islamic early childhood institutions.
