This article discusses the multiple regression analysis techniques to determine the effectiveness of the factors used. The study examines the various relationships between the elements. It is important to identify which factor will be the most important when selecting wells to determine the amount of oil recovery. Nowadays, the most important problem in the fields of Tatarstan and Bashkortostan is the depletion of deposits. To maintain the profitability of mining companies, therefore, the issue of preparing new reserves remains relevant. This process involves high costs and risks. For a more reliable picture, it is crucial to determine the most relevant factors. The use of the triad of studies proposed by the authors makes it possible to more reliably determine the effectiveness of oil companies. The initial data are direct measurements and methods of mathematical statistics that allow more accurate predictions. Statistical analysis made it possible to identify the parameters on which the effectiveness of the factors depends. In domestic practice, the assessment of resources and reserves of hydrocarbons is usually made by deterministic methods, while abroad the statistical method is used. When studying the relationships between objects, the analyst should be interested not only in the presence and quantitative assessment of the relations but also in the form and relationship of the effective and factor characteristics, its analytical expression. Correlation and regression analysis help to solve these problems. Correlation analysis aims to measure the tightness of the relationship between the varying variables and to evaluate the factors that have the greatest impact on the resulting trait. Regression analysis is designed to select the form of the relationship, to determine the calculated values of the dependent variable (the effective feature) [1]. For the factor analysis, we used data on the oil industry published in the annual statistical collections of Rosstat, as well as specialized periodicals for ten years.

Increasingly, the policy of the Russian Federation is aimed at the development of healthcare, and spending on the healthcare industry is becoming a serious problem for the financial stability of national health systems, even in highincome countries. Voluntary medical insurance, as one of the forms of medical insurance, contributes to the formation of all insurance premiums, thereby this form can be one of the indirect factors of socioeconomic development of Russia. The paper hypothesizes the existence of a relationship between the level of development of the welfare of the country and the volume of the premium fund of voluntary health insurance. A study was conducted on the relationship between voluntary health insurance and GDP, as one of the key indicators of the country's development, through correlation and regression analysis.

Seven amines currently found in ground beef, 1,3 diaminopropane, histamine, cadaverine, putrescine, spermine, spermidine and tyramine, were evaluated as indicators of total bacterial, psychrotrophic and coliform counts in raw ground beef stored for 12 d at 4, 7 and 10°C. At 2-d intervals, amines were analyzed by extraction with 0.6 N HC104, separation by ion exchange column chromatography, and detection by ninhydrin. Lysine decarboxylase positive bacteria (LD+) during storage at 4°C were also studied. Correlation and regression analysis were used to determine the relationship of amine concentration to bacterial count. The percentage of lysine decarboxylase-positive bacterial colonies increased until the 6th day of storage and then decreased until the 12th day. Total and psychrotrophic bacterial counts ranged from 102 to 109 bacteria/g and were correlated significantly with putrescine, 1,3 diamino-propane, tyramine, cadaverine and spermidine. Cadaverine was the only amine that correlated significantly with coliforms (P≥0.95).

The article discusses the concepts of trust and corruption in society and explores the interdependence between them using the international Edelman Trust Barometer (ETB) Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI). Research methods are: 1) the topological model proposed by the authors, built on the averaged values of these indices; 2) correlation and regression analysis; 3) scenario approach based on the formation of «range corridors». The analysis of the topological model was carried out, on the basis of which the zones of low, medium and high levels of corruption were identified, with a characteristic specific type of relationship between the ETB and CPI indices; the general view of the dependence of the level of trust on corruption in the form of a horizontal S-shaped curve is approximately defined. Statistically significant linear regression equations were obtained, reflecting the relationship of the considered indices for three countries (Germany, Colombia, France).

Abstract Background The etiology of reflux esophagitis (RE) is multi-factorial. This study analyzed the relationship of depression, anxiety, lifestyle and eating habits with RE and its severity and further explored the impact of anxiety and depression on patients’ symptoms and quality of life. Methods From September 2016 to February 2018, a total of 689 subjects at Xuanwu Hospital Capital Medical University participated in this survey. They were divided into the RE group (patients diagnosed with RE on gastroscopy, n = 361) and the control group (healthy individuals without heartburn, regurgitation and other gastrointestinal symptoms, n = 328). The survey included general demographic information, lifestyle habits, eating habits, comorbidities, current medications, the gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) questionnaire (GerdQ), the Patient Health Questionnaire-9 depression scale and the General Anxiety Disorder-7 anxiety scale. Results The mean age and sex ratio of the two groups were similar. Multivariate logistic regression analysis identified the following factors as related to the onset of RE (p < 0.05): low education level; drinking strong tea; preferences for sweets, noodles and acidic foods; sleeping on a low pillow; overeating; a short interval between dinner and sleep; anxiety; depression; constipation; history of hypertension; and use of oral calcium channel blockers. Ordinal logistic regression analysis revealed a positive correlation between sleeping on a low pillow and RE severity (p = 0.025). Depression had a positive correlation with the severity of symptoms (rs = 0.375, p < 0.001) and patients’ quality of life (rs = 0.306, p < 0.001), whereas anxiety showed no such association. Conclusions Many lifestyle factors and eating habits were correlated with the onset of RE. Notably, sleeping on a low pillow was positively correlated with RE severity, and depression was positively related to the severity of symptoms and patients’ quality of life.

This study attempts to analyze to what extent governance and sustainable development (SD) empirically appear compatible in the thirtyfive OECD countries through the fuzzy-set ideal type analysis, and identify which ideal types appear coupled or decoupled, and then reveal which countries belong to the coupled types or to the decoupled types. In short, twenty-two countries (including Sweden (fuzzy score, 0.953), Denmark (0.920), Finland (0.914), Norway (0.911) in Type 1 (G*S, ‘strong G-S coupled countries’); and Turkey (0.906), Greece (0.833), Mexico (0.828) in Type 4 (g*s, ‘lite g-s coupled countries’) are in line with the accepted conventions regarding the compatible relationship between governance and SD. On the other hand, the rest of thirteen countries (including USA (fuzzy score, 0.815), Luxembourg (0.721), Australia (0.660) in Type 2 (G*s, ‘G-s decoupled countries’); and Slovenia (0.728), France (0.644), Czech Rep. (0.625) in Type 3 (g*S, ‘g-S decoupled countries’) may indicate that the relationship of governance and SD is in fact experiencing tensions in the national contexts. These findings are characterized by the substance (of SD) and procedure (of governance) divide. Considering the results, this study focuses on the idea of reflexivity or reflexive capacity.
