Since the second half of the 20th century tourism has become one of the fast developing and expanding sectors in the world economy. The tourism sector plays an important role in alleviating issues related with the balance of payments, reducing unemployment, creating tax incomes and contributing to economic developments by providing a large foreign exchange inflow to the country, therefore, we can say that this sector has larger impact on economic growth than other sectors. As it is in developing and underdeveloped countries, in Kyrgyzstan the tourism industry is one of the most important sectors in the economy. The tourism sector in Kyrgyzstan plays an important role in in economic development by reducing the level of unemployment and generating the income by providing mass foreign exchange inflow to the country. In this context the aim of this paper is to analyze the role and importance of tourism in Kyrgyzstan’s economy by using methods of statistical analysis. The results show that the total number of tourists coming to Kyrgyzstan, thus the tourism revenues increased. In other words, when tourism revenues increase, this fosters economic development, by receiving a larger share of tourism revenues. In this study, the literature review method was used.

This paper aims to explain how Ha Long Bay's tourism potential is one of UNESCO's world heritage and its implications for economic development in Vietnam. The author uses the national branding concept to analyzing the related phenomena. The results show that Ha Long Bay tourism increased the Vietnam's economic development due to an increase in economic growth through tourism sector revenues in GDP (Gross Domestic Product) of 9.3 percent. This sector is also able to provide employment to 3.7 percent of the total workers in Vietnam. Vietnam has also been named as one of the 10 countries in the world with the fastest growth rate of recovery in the tourism sector after the global monetary crisis in 2008-2009. The existence of a positive assessment from the international community certainly has implications for increasing visits from tourists and makes Ha Long Bay has its own charm and competitiveness in the global tourism industry.

Tourism is very necessary to continue to be developed to improve the economy in Indonesia and increase the position of the country geographically, which is very strategic for tourism and the world economy. For this reason, the ability to communicate in English is absolutely necessary, in order to compete with workers from other countries, so that they can contribute to the improvement of the national economy. The ability to communicate in English is a strategic sector in the development of highly competitive human resources in the tourism industry sector and in the global economic community. By having good English communication skills, it will be easier to grab market share in the tourism industry sector and the economic sector. The tourism sector as one of the prime industrial development is developed in order to further increase the rate of national development. For this reason, it is necessary that the government continues to increase its resilience, policies, and increase the development of tourism with a view to further developing the community's economy and increasing the ability to speak English so that human resources are able to compete in various tourism industries so that the economy will increase.

In modern conditions of development of integration processes in the world economy, special importance is attached to the transport sector. The formation of a single transport space (STS) in the regions creates additional opportunities for the economic development of the integrating countries. At the same time, the literature does not pay enough attention to the definition of the essence of the single transport space and the classification of integration associations according to the degree of its development. Therefore, there is a need to develop such a classification. The article substantiates the expediency of classification of integration associations according to the degree of development of a single transport space. The author's formal-logical classification is developed, which is based on three basic types of a single transport space: transport and logistics type provide a positive multiplier of integrated economic growth for all participating countries; innovative-logistic and customs-logistic types cause polarization in the action of the multiplier of integrated economic growth (in particular, both positive and negative growth rates of GDP values of the participating countries are possible); industrial and logistics type provide a zero multiplier of integrated economic growth for all participating countries. The conclusion is made about the possibility of unification and harmonization of transport space in the practice of integration associations on the basis of the developed classification.

Since the exchange of goods, services, and capital became a worldwide system some nations have succeeded becoming wealthy and prosperous while many others have failed remaining in poverty. Over the last three decades the dynamism of the increasing integrated world economy became an essential part of the process of economic growth, and as a consequence growth has been meager in countries like Brazil whose authorities have remained systematically hesitant to integrate the domestic markets into the world economy, staying apart from the main flows of trade and capital. The article discusses also why economic development studies has moved from the field of Economy to the field of International Relations forming the area of International Political Economy studies which is mainly driven to understand the trends and changes in the relationship between the state institutions and the market forces in the national and international levels. The essay concludes that to any country the process of integrating into the world economy means exploring and improving national potentialities rather than abandoning national identity and interests.

Medical tourism is related to the travel of patients from one country to another in order to obtain medical treatment in that country. There are several countries worldwide promoting medical tourism and attracting patients. Most of the developing nations attract the patients because of cost benefits whereas the developed nations attract patients who require complex surgeries or any kind of advanced medical treatment. We remarked in our last issue : ‘It is not often that a government finds itself confronted with the possibility of a simultaneous failure to achieve all four main policy objectives—of adequate economic growth, full employment, a satisfactory balance of payments and reasonably stable prices.’ In the context this applied specifically to the United Kingdom, but the possibility is becoming increasingly real for the greater part of Western Europe, with West Germany the most obvious exception, and even for Japan it is less remote than it might quite recently have seemed.

The article provides a general assessment of the activities of the international market of tourism services in the pre-coronavirus period and predicts the recovery of the tourism industry as a component of the economy, after overcoming the pandemic. The article offers statistical and informative material on the role of tourism in the system of world services and the international economy, compares the number of people employed in tourism by years and analyzes the foreign experience of the functioning of the tourist services market, defining the main trends in the development of tourism in the future as a segment of the world economy. It is substantiated that tourism is one of those sectors of the world economy that has suffered more from the pandemic, taking into account UNWTO monitoring, IMF data, analytical studies of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the results of the analysis of economic stability of European agencies Standard and Poor’s, Fitch and Moody’s. Scenarios of the world’s exit from the economic crisis, in which tourism plays one of the main roles, are proposed, and the consequences of the introduction of certain scenarios into their practical implementation are predicted. The chances of overcoming the crisis are assessed for Ukraine, which is lagging behind in the implementation of measures in support of the tourism sector, and poses a serious threat to the competitiveness of the industry in the international market during the forecast period of economic recovery. Attention is focused on the fact that financial reforms are being carried out in Ukraine, in which tourism accounts for a relatively small share in the country’s economy. Therefore, the recovery of the tourism segment of the country’s economy is possible under the V-shaped scenario, which will allow the tourism industry to be restored after the pandemic without significant losses. The ways of exit of Ukraine from the difficult economic situation in the tourism industry are determined and the development trends of the Ukrainian market of tourist services are predicted. Information about the strengths and weaknesses of the development of the world tourism market will help determine the most promising areas of activity in the tourism sector and predict the economic feasibility of introducing one direction or another into the public system of economic relations.
