This study aimed to identify the reality of the evaluation of graduate students for scientific research in Jordanian public and private universities. To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher used the descriptive survey method (a questionnaire) which  consisted of (28) items distributed on the following fields:1) financial funding for scientific research, 2) community support for scientific research, 3) the organization of policies, strategies and legislation, and 4) the environment of research and development. The sample of the study consisted of (351) students, who are studying in public and private universities, including (210) students in public universities and (141) students in private universities. The results of the study showed that the evaluation of students of higher studies for scientific research in Jordanian public and private universities was (high). The ranking of the fields was as follows: the organization of policies, strategies and legislation came first, the environment of research and development came second and the field of community support for scientific research came last. The results also indicated that there were no statistically significant differences at the level of statistical significance (α ≤ 0.05) between the mean of the estimates of the respondents on the fields of study due to gender variable, university type and scientific degree .And that the estimates of the reality of the evaluation of graduate students for scientific research vary depending on the type of university and the type of college.

This study aimed to identify the degree of academic leaders’ practice of excellence management in public and private Jordanian universities (Yarmouk University, University of Science and Technology, Al Al-Bayt University, Irbid National University, Jadara University, and Jerash University) from the faculty members’ viewpoint. The descriptive survey method was adopted and to achieve the objectives of the study, a questionnaire was built to measure the degree of practicing excellence management consisting of (32) items distributed into (4) areas: leadership (10) items, policies, and strategies (5) items, human resources (5) items, and partnerships and resources (12) items. The study population consisted of all the (2077) faculty members in the Jordanian public and private universities in the first semester of the academic year 2020/2021. Where the study sample consisted of (405) academics who constitute (19%) of the study population. and were selected by a random stratified method. The results showed that the overall degree of academic leaders' practicing of excellence management in the public and private Jordanian universities was moderate, and the order of the areas on the scale was respectively as follows; Partnerships and Resources, leadership, Policies and strategies, and human resources, and that all of these areas came at a moderate degree. The results also showed that there were statistically significant differences at the level of statistical significance (α = 0.05) between the estimates of respondents in all areas (leadership, policies and strategies, human resources, partnerships, and resources) attributable to the difference in; the gender variable in favor of males, academic rank in favor of the professor, and the type of university in favor of public universities. Regarding these results, the researcher recommends giving more attention to the Department of Excellence, especially in the field of leadership, as well as the inclusion of Excellence Management as a basic criterion of performance quality standards in Jordanian public and private universities.

The major purpose of the study was to measure the effect of scholarships on students’ social development at the university level. The study was descriptive, and the survey method was applied for the collection of data. The population consisted of all teachers and students of public and private universities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad. The total population of teachers in the public and private universities were 4073 and students were 101968. A stratified random sampling technique was applied for selecting the study sample. The researcher selected 525 teachers from public and private universities as well as 900 students from public and private universities. The researcher developed two questionnaires using a five-point Likert scale on the foundation of related literature and with the help of the supervisor. The validity of the instruments was checked by two experts in the field. The reliability of these instruments was determined through Cronbach’s alpha which was 0.832. Mean, standard deviation, t-test, and regression analysis were used for analyzing the data. It was found that scholarships are available at the public and private sector universities. It was also found that there was a significant effect of scholarships on students’ development. Therefore, it is recommended that scholarships may be spread on the university website, to guarantee students successful learning, higher education institutions will have to meet the challenges of student’s problems.

The study aimed to find out the extent to which the educational administration departments in the Jordanian public and private universities are committed to performing their social responsibility from the point of view of the faculty members in them. The descriptive analytical method was used. In order to answer the questions of the study, the arithmetic averages, standard deviations, and rank were extracted to the degree of commitment of the educational administration departments in the Jordanian public and private universities to perform their social responsibility, and the triple analysis of variance was used to test the significance of the differences between the variables, in light of the responses of the faculty members to the fields of study, after classifying them within the following levels Gender (male, female), experience (less than 10 years, 10 years or more) and university qualifications (public and private). A tool was developed, consisting of (21) paragraphs, and distributed to the study sample members of the 66), a faculty member in the educational administration departments in Jordanian and private universities for the academic year 2020/2021, and it included three areas: academic programs, scientific research, and activities and events. The study concluded that the commitment of the educational administration departments in the public and private Jordanian universities to perform their social responsibility obtained an overall average (77¸1 out of 3), i.e. a degree of commitment (medium), and at the level of the three domains; The field of academic programs got the highest average (4.¸2), then the field of scientific research with an average (71,1), both with a degree of commitment (medium), and finally activities and events with an average of (58.1) and a degree of commitment (low). The results also showed that there were no differences Statistically significant at the significance level (α = 0.05) between the arithmetic averages of the responses of the study sample members to the tool domains as a whole, and to the variables of gender, experience, and university status. Based on the results, the study may recommend conducting a study on the possibility of integrating social responsibility within the academic accreditation standards.

Their number was 1210faculty members: 893 males and 308 females. The study sample was 445 males and 155 females, 50% of the studypopulation. To achieve the objectives of the study, a study tool was developed. It is a questionnaire consisting of 50items distributed on 5 domains. The findings of the study showed that the degree of practicing academic freedom byfaculty members in Jordanian public and private universities in the Northern Region from the point of view of thefaculty members on all domains of the tool was medium. Furthermore, there were no statistically significantdifferences at the level of significance (0.05 α ≤) in the degree of practicing academic freedom by faculty membersin Jordanian universities due to the variable of the type of university, and the existence of differences in the degree ofpracticing academic freedom by faculty members in Jordanian public and private universities in the Northern Regioncan be attributed to the academic rank between those whose rank is professor and associate professor on the one hand, and the rank of assistant professor on the other, for the benefit of the rank of professor and associate professor, ie, infavor of the upper rank. The researcher recommended the need to increase the practice of academic freedom by thefaculty members at the Jordanian public and private universities in the Northern Region.

The results indicated that there are statistical significant differences attributed to gender on the four domains in favor of the females. No statistical significant differences were indicated attributed to the type of the college (scientific, literary) on the four domains of the instrument. The results also indicated that there are significant statistical differences attributed to the graduate program level in favor of the doctoral students.. The conclusion emphasized the necessity to hold training courses for the graduate students in the usage of the internet and data bases in scientific research.

Lullabies are essentially sung for their soothing nature but, as this article shows, they have other important functions. One of the most important of these is that lullabies may provide much-needed language stimulation with important long-term consequences for future learning. This paper begins the work of addressing the dearth of scholarly research on lullabies, especially in the Yoruba (Nigeria: Niger-Congo) culture. It looks at the range of themes, dictions, and prosody that are intertwined to reveal Yoruba beliefs and world-views about children, starting with their time in the womb. The study uses a descriptive survey method to analyse data collected through participant observation. It shows that Yoruba lullabies not only offer insights into Yoruba cultural beliefs but also depend greatly on figurative expression and prosodic systems. These rich literary qualities identify lullabies as the earliest sub-genre of children's poetry.
