The success of the tourism industry as part of the service sector depends on the quality in a great extent, therefore qualified and motivated employees are crucial. Tourism is above all a business for the people, and the quality of the relationship between the employees in the tourism enterprise and the tourists is one of the most important components for the overall tourist experience. Education and training are key factors for the sustainable development of tourism by providing the necessary skills at all levels. Global development and mobility opportunities make it possible for tourism development to outstrip staffing levels. There is a mismatch between the existing education, the vocational training, and the real needs of the sector. At the same time, new challenges arise, and they require continuous training for employees in the sector. The main purpose of the scientific report is to investigate the role of information technologies and corporate e-learning in the Bulgarian tourism industry. Based on the bibliographic review, there was a lack of research on corporate e-learning in the field of tourism in Bulgaria as well as insufficient information on the role of information technologies as part of the training process. The study, the results of which will be presented in the report, identifies existing practices on corporate training and the application of information technologies as part of the training process among the respondents - Bulgarian tourism organizations. The study aims to identify the difference between the possibilities of available information technologies and their real application in the process of corporate training and human resource development in Bulgarian tourism.

The information environment and social society are closely interrelated: the information environment is formed naturally under the influence of the development of society and its components; however, the information environment is one of the most important conditions for further development of society. It turns out that only in a fairly developed information environment effective mechanisms of management can be implemented and modern high technologies in various spheres of society can be developed and implemented. To do this, the state must ensure the necessary quality of education and create favorable political, social and cultural conditions for a decent life of the country’s population. One of the most promising methods in solving national security problems is the use of an information approach. Thanks to this method it is possible to solve the following security problems: – quantitative monitoring of adverse and dangerous processes that may pose a threat to national security; – information forecasting and modeling of economic, political, social, environmental and scientific processes in society in the context of the analysis and evaluation of their subsequent impact on the state of national security; – using mass media for the appropriate orientation of society in the field of problems of national security and forming a national consciousness determined to solve these problems. The article deals with the role of information technologies in the development of human resources. The description of the main information revolutions, as well as the analysis of the need for the widespread introduction of a unified information educational environment. The relevance of the article lies in the introduction of a unified information educational environment and fundamentalization of education contributing to the development of human resources.

Political processes are undergoing profound changes due to the challenges imposed by globalization processes to the legitimacy of policy actors and to the effectiveness of policy-making. Building on a socio-political approach to governance and focusing on global information policies and networks, this chapter aims at developing a better understanding of the possibility of change in world politics nowadays, by critically analysing two innovative elements: the reality and relevance of “multi-stakeholder” practices and the growing role of information technologies as a complementary support to actors’ relations. Looking at Internet Governance debates in recent years, the authors reconstruct networks of interaction connecting actors in the virtual space, and look at actors’ communication modes. Thus they analyze the extent to which technological, as well as processual and cognitive innovation, shapes actors’ orientations and the structures within which they interact in the specific context of Internet Governance.
