Green chemistry is an educational approach that is guided by Sustainable Development Education which aims to provide students with the knowledge of scientific solutions on how to solve environmental pollution. This study aimed to develop an instrument to gauge students’ level of green chemistry experiment, knowledge, attitude and practice and to test the usability of the questionnaire developed to explore students’ green chemistry experiment, knowledge, attitude and practice. This quantitative research employed a newly self-constructed Green Chemistry Awareness Questionnaire. The instrument validity and reliability is estimated by two experts and the reliability of the instrument was estimated during the pilot test, yielding Cronbach’s alpha value of 0.926. Questionnaires were distributed to 100 chemistry students from five secondary schools in Muallim district. Data was analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical analysis to address all research questions. The independent t-test showed no statistical significant difference for all constructs by gender and school location.

"Abstract: The aim of this study was to examine the awareness levels of the gifted students and normally developing peers related to the environmental education concepts. In line with this purpose, the survey design, which is one of quantitative research methods, was used in the study. 209 gifted students receiving education in a Science and Art Center in the Eastern Anatolia and 250 secondary school students receiving education in the public schools during the fall term of the 2019-2020 school year, participated in the study. In the study, the Environmental Education Concepts Awareness Scale was used as data collection tool. Necessary validity and reliability studies were conducted for the scale used. The independent samples t-test and ANOVA were used in the analysis of the data. As a result of the study it was determined that the gifted students had higher awareness scores related to environmental education concepts, compared to their normally developing peers. In addition, while the environmental education concepts awareness scores of the gifted students did not differ significantly according to gender, age range and class level, there was a significant difference in all variables examined in the normal-development group. "

Introduction: Students' health of is of great importance because they account for a large part of community. Schools play an important role in the transfer of health information to students. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of a health-based intervention on the knowledge, attitude, and practice of high school students in Mehriz city.   Methods:  In this semi-experimental study with pretest-posttest design, 260 first-grade high school students were studied in Mehriz city in 2016-2017. The data collection tool was five sections of the Global school-based student health survey (GHSH). The questionnaires were completed by students before and three months after the intervention. Data were analyzed by SPSS 20 using z test, t-test, ANOVA, McNemar's test, and chi-squared test. Results: After the intervention, a significant difference was observed between the students' scores in the pre- and post- intervention steps with regard to taking milk and dairy at least twice per day, consuming vegetables, washing hands before eating in school, brushing twice or more daily, exercising for at least 60 minutes per day, and having insufficient sleep at night due to being worried about various issues (P<0.05). The intervention was also effective on the mean (±standard deviation) scores of knowledge about mental health, nutrition, and oral health, as well as mean(±standard deviation) scores of attitudes toward physical activity, oral health, and nutrition (P<0.05).   Conclusion: Health interventions can increase health promoting behaviors and enhance knowledge and attitudes in students. Therefore, it is recommended to use interventional programs using available facilities in schools.

The study aimed to examine the levels of aggression and violence of students and other professional groups who are Düzcespor football fans. For the research model, the survey model, one of the quantitative research types, was chosen. The study's data collection process was carried out during the 2019-2020 season of the Turkey Football Federation, and the population of the study consisted of Düzcespor fans between the ages of 12-68. The sample of the study, on the other hand, consists of 498 people who voluntarily participated in the study using the random sample selection technique. As a result of normality tests (Kolmogorov-Smirnov and Shapiro Wilk), it was determined that the scores obtained from the scales did not show a normal distribution. For this reason, non-parametric tests Mann Whitney-U Test, Kruskal Wallis Test, and Bonferroni Test, one of the Post Hoc tests, were used to determine which group caused the significant difference between the groups as a result of the analysis. Frequency, percentage, minimum, maximum, average, and standard deviation values were also used to analyze the data. The level of significance was determined as p < 0.05. The study's findings showed that Düzcespor supporters had moderate aggression and violent behaviors. There was a significant difference between the variables of gender, age, education level, occupation and income, and aggression and violent behavior. The study results revealed that aggression and tendency to violence are higher in males, younger people, high school students and people with low income.

Background: Menstruation has more profound effect on quality of education than other aspect of puberty because it involves a learning component as well as elements affected by the school environment and infrastructure. It is, therefore, imperative to assess the knowledge, attitude, and practice of Secondary School girls in Ogbomoso on the subject of menstruation and menstrual hygiene.Methods: It was a cross-sectional study carried out between June and August 2016. A total of 447 eligible female adolescent secondary school students were selected by multistage sampling technique. A semi-structured facilitated self- administered questionnaire was used.Results: Majority (96.4%) of the adolescents have heard about menstruation before menarche while 55.9% had good knowledge of menstruation and menstrual hygiene. Despite the high level of knowledge, about 64% of the respondents describe their response to their first menses as scary, discomforting or emotionally disturbing. Also, only 25% of the respondents had good menstrual hygiene practice. Factors that were significantly associated with good knowledge of menstruation and menstrual hygiene in this study were older adolescent age (15-19 years) (χ2=47.68, P<0.0001); adolescents whose mothers have greater than secondary school education (χ2=42.52, P<0.0001); and those living with their parents (χ2=123.9 ,P=0.001)  while only living with parents significantly influenced good practices.Conclusions: The study concluded that majority of the adolescents do not observe good hygienic practice during menstruation despite relatively good knowledge of menstruation and menstrual hygiene. Efforts have to be put into ensuring that adolescents are well educated on the meaning of menstruation, the importance of good hygienic practice both in schools and at home.

Background: Inpatients who are attached in intravenous devices tend to experience physical discomfort. This condition can lead to the decrease in performing Salat as a Muslim prayer. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of individual coaching on knowledge, attitude, and practice of Salat among Muslim inpatient. This study used quasi-experimental design.Mehods: The samples were 36 Muslim inpatients. The data were collected by self-constructed questionnaire and analyzed by using Independent t-test and Mann Whitney test with α ≤ 0.05.Results: Before giving intervention, the means of pretest score in both groups were 14.33+2.17 and 14.39+2.28 for knowledge, 26.17+2.31 and 26.50+3.17 for attitude, and 10.00+2.91 and 10.50+3.45 for practice. There was no significant difference scores of knowledge (p=0.941), attitude (p=0.924), and practice (p=0.635) between two groups before giving intervention. However, after giving intervention, these scores have changed to 19.00+1.72 and 14.89+2.29 for knowledge, 26.97+2.25 and 26.61+2.81 for attitude, 15.33+3.80 and 10.50+3.45 for practice and there was higher significance scores of knowledge (p=0.000), attitude (p=0.003), and practice (p=0.000) after giving intervention.Conclusions: Coaching is the suitable method to increase Muslim inpatients knowledge, attitude, and ability to practice Salat. This study recommends the nurse to do coaching as a nursing intervention in helping patient to perform Salat

Background: COVID-19 vaccine is the mighty weapon opted by all the countries across the globe in an attempt to eradicate the fatal COVID-19 pandemic. The myths on the COVID-19 vaccine are spreading widely, causing a hindrance to this noble preventive measure. The prevalence of such myths among the healthcare professionals may be toxic and deadly. Aim & Objectives: To assess the knowledge, attitude, and practice of the healthcare professionals regarding the myths on COVID-19 vaccination and to demystify them. Materials and Methods: An 18-item questionnaire evaluating knowledge, attitude, and practice based on the existing myths on COVID-19 vaccination was circulated through Google Forms among the 412 healthcare professionals of six disciplines belonging to a private University. The responses obtained were subjected to statistical analysis using SPSS 20 software package. Results: A total of 385 health professionals participated in this study. The majority of them had medium knowledge (165) and positive attitude (273) with the mean knowledge and attitude scores of 3.82 (SD-1.55) out of 6 and 4.3 (SD-1.58) out of 7 respectively. Even though 312 participants got vaccinated, 72 of them failed to receive it. The knowledge scores showed a high statistically significant difference among the participants of different designations (p=0.001), but not with gender, field, and staff with different years of experience (p>0.05). The attitude scores were statistically different among participants of fields and designation (p<0.05) but not among genders (p=0.31) and staff with different years of experience (p=0.87). Knowledge and attitude scores showed a positive linear correlation and a high statistically significant difference (p<0.001). Conclusion: This study recommends more enhanced education programs on COVID-19 vaccination for the health professionals and demands an improved knowledge, attitude, and practice among them to achieve the goal of 100% vaccination so as to completely eradicate the COVID-19 pandemic.

Abstract Background:Pre-marriage counseling coupled with enriching the couple's relationships skills can lead to better relationships. New approaches and programs are being developed today to improve youth skills. Mobile app education is one of the new educational models in this field. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of mobile app intervention on knowledge, attitude and practice of youth for healthy marriage.Methods: This quasi-experimental study was conducted in 2019 on 88 young people (44 couples) who were selected by convenience sampling from youth referred to the premarital counseling center of Falavarjan city (Isfahan). At first, the pre-marriage skills training and counseling app was designed and produced, then this app was installed on the intervention group's cellphone. Data were collected using questionnaire based on the content of the app and its validity and reliability were confirmed. Data were analyzed using SPSS (20) and paired t-test and independent t-test were applied. Results:The mean (SD) of couples' age was 21.11 (5.06) years. The results showed that after installation of educational consulting app in the intervention group, the mean score of knowledge (P = 0.001), attitude (P = 0.001), and practice (P = 0.001) after intervention were significantly higher than before the intervention. Conclusion: The results of the study showed that using mobile-based educational and counseling app increases couples' knowledge, attitude and practice in pre-marital education. Therefore, it is recommended that this type of education (mobile app) be used to promote pre-marriage education classes.
