Methodology used in this analysis is qualitative descriptive. Data collection through literature studies by critical mass digital recognition in Indonesia and trying to find a relationship between political participation through social media and democracy. By processing the pro and contra views regarding the selection of social media as a level of participation, this paper finds that there are overlapping interests that have the potential to distort the articulation of freedom of opinion and participation. - which is characteristic of a democratic state. The result is the rapid development of digital society which greatly influences the public policy process. Digital society imagines being able to participate formally in influencing policy in Indonesia. The democracy that developed in the digital society is cyberdemocracy. Public space in the digital world must be guaranteed security and its impact on the policies that will be determined. The recommendation given to the government is that a cyber data analyst is needed to oversee the issues that are developing in the digital world. Regulations related to the security of digital public spaces must be maximized. The government maximizes cooperation with related stakeholders. Keywords: Digital Society; Democracy; Public policy; Political Participation

Abstract Twitter connects an international community of healthcare stakeholders, potentially augmenting access to information related to geriatric medicine. The purpose of this study is to analyze the geriatric medicine Twitter network, and we hypothesize this community has substantially grown in the last six years. We analyzed all publicly available tweets including the hashtag #geriatrics from January 1, 2013-January 1, 2019 using Symplur Signals, a health care social media analytics platform. We evaluated #geriatrics metrics over time related to activity, content analysis, user characteristics, engagement, and network analysis. A total of 159,008 tweets (containing 42.8% re-tweets) with the hashtag #geriatrics were written by 29,443 users, resulting in 393.6 million impressions. The number of tweets increased from 9,705 in 2013 to 39,151 in 2018 (32.2% compound annual growth); users increased from 3,366 in 2013 to 29,443 in 2018 (55.3% compound annual growth). Users were primarily found in the United States, United Kingdom, and Canada. The most commonly trending topic from 2013-2015 and from 2016-2018 was ‘older adults’. The top hashtags included in tweets with #geriatrics were #job, #aging, and #hpm (hospice and palliative medicine). Network analysis showed central hubs to be medical journals, provider organizations, individual physicians, and individual advocates. The top 150 influencers consisted primarily of physicians (49.1%), advocate/support organizations (13.8%), and media organizations (6.3%). The use of Twitter to promote geriatric medicine using #geriatrics has matured into an international digital community of interest. Future studies should examine hashtags related to age prevalent illnesses and hashtags likely to be used by patients.

Abstract This article explores the possibility that public libraries can be repositories for digital community archives. The overarching goal is to establish a case for public libraries’ developing digital community archives that are participatory and which emphasize born-digital items rather than digitized physical items. This discussion follows my own research and experience in this area to include personal information management, social media and the personal archive, and the accidental community archive, and demonstrates that public libraries can focus on communities’ current events and people rather than solely on those from the past.

Introduction : Scoliosis in a condition where a curve develops in the spine. Adolescent girls affected by scoliosis are significantly more likely to require treatment such as bracing or surgery than their male counterparts. Curvy Girls is a peer support group for adolescent girls with scoliosis that allows them to engage with each other in a safe environment. Objectives : This study endeavours to explore the experiences of adolescent girls living with scoliosis who are Curvy Girls members and understand how this peer support group has affected their experience. Approach : Sixteen participants were recruited through a senior board member of Curvy Girls. Data was gathered through semi-structured interviews with open-ended questions, transcribed verbatim, and analyzed using an applied philosophical hermeneutic approach, a practice of uncovering insights from transformational conversation. Findings : We found that the participants’ sense of belonging to Curvy Girls did not depend on their level of involvement with the group. Whether they were leaders in their in-person local group, or simply following the organization on social media, seeing themselves represented allowed the participants to feel like they belonged to the group. Future Directions : These findings may help clinicians, healthcare professionals, and peer support organisations deepen their understanding of the perspectives of this specific population. This transformed understanding could lead to the instauration of care and services that are better adapted to this population’s needs, resulting in lessening the burden of the condition on the individual and their support system.

Public relations describe strategic processes of relationship management that organizations that seek excellence promote with their stakeholders. The purpose of these processes is to generate and maintain a dialogic communication system through which to generate a climate of reciprocity based on the search for common interests, agreements, and expectations. Under this approach, this chapter analyzes the figure of the influencer as a new category of emerging stakeholder, an opinion leader 2.0 capable of generating a state of opinion in the digital community that transcends the general traditional public opinion, surpassing the traditional model two-step flow of communication.
