This study aims to describe the creative thinking ability of upper group students in solving Ring Algebra Structure questions on the prime ideal and maximum ideal material. This research uses descriptive qualitative research. The research subjects are students of Mathematics Education-2 Semester VI who have taken the Ring Algebra Structure course. The research subjects are three (3) students of Mathematics Education-2 Semester VI who have high mathematical abilities based on test results in the form of assignments on Ideal material. The instruments used in the study include: 1) Test; 2) Interview guide; and 3) Documentation. Based on the results of research and discussion, the findings resulted that the thinking ability of upper-class students had fulfilled all aspects of creative thinking, namely fluency, flexibility, and originality. The subject has been able to explain all the indicators that have been set very well and precisely. Subjects have also been able to prove prime ideals or maximum ideals or not both and can identify examples and non-examples of prime ideals and maximum ideals through high-level elaboration and analysis carried out by the subject. Subjects are also very able to describe Lattice diagrams on each question and can determine the subring of a ring. It's just that there is a uniqueness of the worksheet between MS, ZB, and HF. But overall the subject has fulfilled the creative thinking aspect. Thus, it can be concluded that the upper group students can be categorized at level 4, which is very creative.

The purpose of this study is to describe the creative thinking ability of Tadris/ Mathematics Education students in Padangsidimpuan IAIN in solving open-ended problems. The approach used is a descriptive qualitative approach that seeks to analyze the ability of students to think creatively in solving open-ended problems. The research subjects were students of the third semester of the Tadris / Mathematics Education Study Program at IAIN Padangsidimpuan. The research subjects consisted of 6 students consisting of 2 students in the high category, 2 students in the medium category, and 2 students in the low category. Data collection techniques in the form of observation, tests and interviews. Data analysis is performed by data reduction, data presentation and verification or conclusions. The data validity technique is done by triangulating data sources. The results showed that students' creative thinking ability for high category was very good in solving open-ended mathematics problems. The ability of students to think creatively for the category is in good criteria. The ability of students to think creatively for low categories as a whole is in poor criteria. Overall for low ability students still need coaching.

One of the abilities students must possess is Creative Thinking Ability (CTA) in order to succeed in their lives. Learning must facilitate students to develop CTA; one of them is by developing a mobile application based on Realistic Mathematics Education (RME). The purpose of this study is to determine the level of validity/feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness of mobile application based RME. This mobile application development used the ADDIE model development procedure. The subjects in this study were grade 4 elementary school students. The validation data collection techniques through validation sheets, practicality data through CTA tests. The results of the study show that the developed of mobile application integrated with realistic mathematics meets valid/proper requirements based on expert and practitioner assessments that are practical and easy if applied in mathematics learning and that is effective in improving students’ creative thinking ability.

This study aims to determine the application of open ended strategies can improve students' creative thinking abilities. The research method used in this study is the classroom action research (CAR) method using the Kurt Lewin model consisting of four components namely, planning, action, observation and reflection. The research subjects were 45 students of MI Al-Khoiriyah Sawangan class of students. Data collection techniques used were observation sheets, interviews and documentation. Data analysis was performed in a qualitative description. Based on the results of the first cycle study 63% of students stated to have the ability to think creatively, in the second cycle 88% of students have the ability to think creatively. This achievement shows that the use of open ended strategies can improve students' creative thinking skills in thematic learning.Keywords: Creative Thinking Ability, Open Ended, Thematic

This study aims to reveal students' mathematical creative thinking skills which include indicators of fluency, flexibility, and originality by describing students' answers in solving cube and block problems. This research was conducted on the superior grade VIII students of MTsN 1 Makassar, totaling 39 students. The research subjects were taken as many as 6 people using the criteria for high, medium, and low group levels, every 2 students at each level. The instrument used is a creative thinking ability test, which consists of 4 items of description with qualitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that the students' mathematical creative thinking skills including the three indicators were very good based on the percentage value of each indicator being above 50%. In the fluency indicator, the percentage value is 100% for item number 1 and 95.83% for question number 2, the percentage value of the flexibility indicator for item number 2 and 4 is 95.83% and 91.67%, respectively, and the percentage value of the novelty indicator is questions number 2 and 4 are 75% and 70.83%, respectively. From the three indicators above, the percentage value of students' creative thinking ability is low when compared to the other two indicators, this shows that students are less able to produce unusual answers/ideas and the suitability of the answers given is very irrelevant to the problem.

This study aims to describe the profile of creative thinking ability of class X students of SMA 3 Pemalang on atomic structure material and periodic tables of chemistry subjects in the 2019/2020 academic year. The research subjects were 36 students of class X SMA 3 Pemalang. The research method used is the quantitative descriptive method. Retrieval of data using essay test questions which were then announced about indicators of students' creative thinking abilities. The creative thinking ability of SMA 3 Pemalang students is 12.44 (38.89%) of the maximum score of 32. If viewed from the ability of students based on indicators of Fluency 1.5 (37.50%), Flexibility 1.71 (42.71%), Originality 1.47 (36.81%), Elaboration 1.54 (38.54%).

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas Problem Based Learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif mahasiswa Program Studi Tadris Matematika UIN Mataram. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian eksperimen. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan cluster random sampling. Populasi penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa semester 3 sebanyak 108 mahasiswa dengan sampel kelas IIIA sebanyak 26 mahasiswa sebagai kelas eksperimen, dan kelas IIIB sebanyak 24 mahasiswa sebagai kelas kontrol. Hasil post-test menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata kelas eksperimen sebesar 71,54 dan nilai rata-rata kelas kontrol sebesar 63,35. Analisis uji-t diperoleh thitung = 2,55 pada dk = n1+n2-2, 24+26-2 = 48 dan ttabel = 5%(t0,05; 48) = 1,95. Jadi pada dk = 48, thitung > ttabel yaitu 2,55 > 1,95. Hal ini berarti bahwa H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima, dengan kata lain model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning efektif terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif mahasiswa Program Studi Tadris Matematika UIN Mataram. Abstract:  This research aims to determine the effectiveness of Problem Based Learning on the creative thinking ability of students of Mathematics Education Program of UIN Mataram. The approach used is quantitative with the type of experimental research. The sampling technique was done by cluster random sampling. The population of this research is student of 3rd grade of 108 students with class IIIA sample as much as 26 students as experiment class, and class IIIB as many as 24 students as control class. Post-test results show that the average grade of the experimental class is 71,54 and the average value of the control class is 63,35. The t-test analysis is obtained t-count = 2,55 at dk = n1+n2-2, 24 + 26-2 = 48 and t-table = 5% (t0,05;48) = 1,95. So at dk = 48, t-count > t-table = 2,55 > 1,95. The conclusion is H0 rejected and Ha accepted, in other words Problem Based Learning is effective towards the creative thinking ability of students of Mathematics Education Program of UIN Mataram.

The aims of this research is to increase students’ creative thinking ability through the application of Project Based Learning model in the subject of science. This research was conducted at the students of grade IVC, Public Elementary School of Cipinang Melayu 01, East Jakarta, in July-October 2018. The method of the classroom action research consist of 2 cycles with 4 activities: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research results shows that the percentage of the data on cycle I, the students' creative thinking ability reach at 53,1%. On Cycle II, it indicates a significant reach at 78,1%. As for the monitoring data of the teacher's actions in learning with the Project Based Learning model, On cycle I reach a percentage at 80% and student’s action monitoring data reach at 73%. On cycle II, the monitoring data of teacher and student actions reach at 100% and 93%. Therefore, it reached the expected target. This Project Based Learning model can increase the creative thinking ability. The conclusion of this research shows that creative thinking ability get increased after using Project Based Learning model.

The purpose of this research is to analyze the difficulty of students in solving problems related to mathematical creative thinking ability comprehensively as a result of the implementation of PACE (Project, Activity, Cooperative learning, Exercise) model and conventional learning in Mathematical Statistics Course. This research was a qualitative research. The subjects in this research were students of Mathematics Education Program who took Mathematical Statistics Course at one of the private universities in East Jakarta. This research used purposive sampling and various instruments. They were test of mathematical prior knowledge (MPK), test of mathematical creative thinking ability (MCTA), observation sheet, interview sheet, and researcher. The data of this research was collected using triangulation techniques. The result of this research show that students are still experiencing difficulties based on MPK level and overall in solving problems related to mathematical creative thinking ability in both learning (PACE model and conventional). However, the difficulty of students who have obtained PACE Model learning is lower than students who have obtained conventional learning. The most of difficulty of students in both learning (PACE model and conventional) is in indicator of ‘originality’. Mathematical creative thinking ability has an important position in solving mathematical problems so this study was aimed to describe the diversity of students' creative thinking abilities. It is in accordance with the fact in the field that was indicated by the score of two of the students which were over 70. So that it has an impact on the learning outcomes of students that are not optimal yet. And the objective of the research was to determine the profile of students’ mathematical creative thinking ability in solving mathematical problem. This research used descriptive qualitative research design.The data collection technique was in the form of a written test. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that: (1) MAS subject was included in the very creative category (TKBK 4) which the subject was able to meet all indicators, namely fluency, flexibility and novelty; (2) the MAPS subject was included in the creative category (TKBK 3) in which the subject was able to meet two indicators, namely fluency and flexibility; (3) ASA subjects fell into the fairly creative category (TKBK 2) in which the subject was able to meet one indicator, namely flexibility; (4) the FNA subject was included in the less creative category (TKBK 1) in which the subject only met the indicators of fluency; (5) ANS subject was included in the uncreative category (TKBK 0) in which the subject is not able to meet all indicators, namely fluency, flexibility and novelty.

The aim of this study was to analyze the need for developing appropriate science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics (STEAM) assessment instruments (vaild, practical and effective) to improve students’ creative thinking skills. The instruments that have been used in education units have not been fully able to encourage students to think at a higher level in building conceptual understanding and solving their own problems. This study used qualitative descriptive study based on a literature review of the STEAM-based assessment instrument as an effort to improve students’ creative thinking skills. The research subjects were educators and fourth grade students of SD Negeri 2 Tulusrejo, Pekalongan District, East Lampung. The research object was creative thinking ability, assessment instrument, and STEAM. The data collection instrument used an interview guide. Questionnaire. An assessment instrument needed to support the learning process in the education unit to improve students’ creative thinking skills. The finding indicated that educators had not fully used assessment instruments that could improve students’ creative thinking skills. Besides, educators needed a STEAM-based assessment instrument that was appropriate to the level of the learner. Thus, it can be concluded that STEAM-based instruments to improve students' creative thinking skills in elementary schools must be developed.
