Introduction. This paper describes the adaptive management of dynamic changes in a present-day enterprise. The purpose of the paper is to investigate the interaction of the key elements of the system of adaptive management of dynamic changes in enterprises, with regard to the influence of the external and internal conditions. Results. The vast majority of enterprises today require changes, which are implemented through the use of adaptive management, which ensures that the company is able to respond adequately to external and internal changes. To ensure the competitiveness, a significant portion of the enterprise requires dynamic changes, which are characterized by high intensity and radicality. For their implementation, the enterprise, on the one hand, must have the necessary potential to achieve this, and on the other hand – the appropriate mechanisms for their implementation. The mechanics of realization of the enterprise potential is defined as a set of its dynamic capabilities and key competences. Key competencies, which enable the company to carry out dynamic changes, are created by the influence of dynamic capabilities on its functional competencies. Dynamic capabilities have a decisive importance in the creation of key competences. The most important key competencies include the following: Constant monitoring of the level of adaptation of the company to the conditions of the environment; the presence of a system of alignment of the goals and objectives of the company with the intensity and pace of development of the target segment of the market; organizational renewal, innovation-friendly internal environment of the company; motivating the company's staff to use the specified capabilities. Conclusion. Efficiency of implementation of changes in the enterprise is achieved by adaptive change management, which ensures adequate response of the management structure of the enterprise to changes in the external and internal environment. Adaptive management of dynamic changes is ensured by the purpose-oriented formation and widespread use of mechanisms for the implementation of the company's potential, as an aggregate of its key competences. The key competences that will provide the company with competitive advantages are created by influencing the dynamic capabilities on the functional competences.

Current interactive systems are criticized for having complex interfaces that overload users with information. Two possible solutions to manage overload are automatic interfaces that augment user capabilities, and user-controlled systems that provide support. These two types of interfaces introduce a trade-off: On the one hand, automatic interfaces alleviate workload but create performance problems associated with the absence of control. On the other hand, user-controlled interfaces afford users more control, which may come with additional workload. Based on the analysis of adaptive user interfaces and automation, a model is proposed where automatic and user interface adaptation are in a multidimensional and continuum-based space, allowing for modelling dynamic changes to the roles the human and machine play at various stages of interaction.

The dynamic changes in the market conditions are increasingly moving away from the reactive audit planning. The increasingly prevalent approach implies agility, i.e. faster adjustment to the external and internal environment, whose result includes the improved operational performance, quality and satisfaction of audit clients. One way to introduce agility in internal audit is to adopt the methodology Scrum, a management approach applied in several project organizations in various industries. By implementing the best experiences of Scrum, a better overview, thinking, learning and adjustment would be achieved. The principles of having to check and adjust, which are inherent in Scrum, enable the teams to work efficiently in the ever-changing conditions, resulting in a high level of sustainable productivity. The paper provides an overview of the agile organizations, specific planning, Scrum principles and concepts for application in audit teams.

The article examines emotion sensitivity in policemen and its relationships with emotion suppression. It was hypothesized that individuals with high emotion suppression were less efficient in recognizing others’ negative emotions. Forty-nine policemen from the Arkhangelsk region of Russia aged from 22 to 50 took part in the study. Emotion sensitivity was measured presenting faces with dynamic changes in emotional expression from neutral to the one of four emotion categories, namely happiness, sadness, anger, and fear. Emotion suppression was measured with Gross’ Emotion Regulation Questionnaire (ERQ). Happiness was recognized faster and more accurately compared to negative emotions. Among negative emotions, the least intensity was needed for the recognition of fear, more intensity for the recognition of sadness, and even more for anger. Fear was recognized more accurately compared to anger; there was no difference in the accuracy of the recognition of fear and sadness. Individuals high in expressive suppression recognized happiness faster and mistook sadness for anger more often. The results are discussed in the context of the specific features of policemen professional activity.

Museums of martyrdom operate on the sites of former Nazi concentration camps in Poland as memorials to the events of the Second World War. These institutions are part of the pedagogy of remembrance, which is an educational discipline connected with the theories of the German philosopher Theodor W. Adorno. The pedagogy of remembrance assumes that as part of the didactic process, it is important not only to learn about atrocities, but above all to analyse their causes. The discussion and debate surrounding the pedagogy of remembrance have allowed this article to identity the correlation between its assumptions and the shaping of students’ attitudes as well as the development of skills included in the key competences. These competences are also referred to in a broader sense as competences of the future, as they are necessary for an individual to function properly in society. The aim of this article is therefore to clarify whether and how museums of martyrdom and the pedagogy of remembrance can foster the development of the skills defined as competences of the future. This article also attempts to indicate the museum activities and didactic methods that can be used by educators at places of remembrance in order to shape attitudes and develop key competencies.

This chapter discusses the development path of the dynamic capabilities construct, calling attention to two ways in which the path has become bifurcated. In particular it pays attention to the widening chasm between Teece’s original conception of dynamic capabilities and his revised conception, as expressed in some of his more recent works. The roots of these divergent, and yet theoretically consequential understandings are explored, as are the ways they have developed in the literature: the need to reconcile the routine nature of dynamic capabilities on the one hand with the need to account for the ability of organizations to intentionally alter their resource base on the other. The chapter argues that such a reconciliation is possible, once a process (or performative) approach is adopted. In particular, the authors argue that in so far as capabilities fully exist in performance, each particular performance may enact capabilities differently over time and in particular contexts.

As more and more organizations have to compete in turbulently changing environments, the ability for continuous renewal, learning and innovation has become a key driver of organizational success. However, the existing research on IC has failed to create scientifically validated methods for assessing organizations’ dynamic capabilities or “renewal capital”. This paper presents the ORCI (Organizational Renewal Capability Inventory) method for measuring dynamic capabilities and illustrates how the method can be used for developing organizational ability for continuous learning and innovation.

Objective. The purpose of the article is to study the modern resource theory in the context of the formation and implementation of the strategy of developing the economic potential of agribusiness processing enterprises. Methods. The work used such general scientific methods of research as: dialectical (to justify the use of modern resource approach for the development of economic potential of the enterprise), abstract-logical (for the purpose of theoretical generalizations of comparison, grouping and formation of conclusions and proposals), systemic (in substantiation of essence and definition interaction of all components of the dynamic capabilities of the enterprise). Results. The resource approach has been further developed in the study of the economic potential of processing enterprises in the context of modern dynamic ability theory. This allows us to modify the concept of «core competency of the enterprise», because only in the conditions of a successful combination of resources and dynamic abilities it is possible to achieve a synergistic effect in the form of appearance of key competencies of the enterprise. The implementation of the strategy of economic potential development occurs when the agribusiness processing enterprise has unique competence at certain stages of the consumer value chain. We have proved that the dynamic capabilities of the enterprise provide the preconditions for a new configuration of resources aimed at creating key competencies and key products of the enterprise, capable of ensuring the development of economic potential. They also serve as the basis for the formation of a unique strategic enterprise architecture.
