Anton Robiansyah, Dwi Novita, Furqonti Ranidiah; This study aims to analyze the effect of audit quality and institutional ownership on the cost of debt. The population in this study are all manufacturing companies listed on the Stock Exchange in 2011-2014. The type of research used in this study is empirical research. The sampling technique used was purposive sample and selected 72 unit analysis companies. The data analysis tool in this test uses OLS (ordinary least square), which wants to see the effect of audit quality and institutional ownership on the cost of debt.Based on the results of this study indicate that audit quality has a negative effect on the cost of debt with a significance level of 0.014 which means that the company that chooses the BIG4 KAP has a good reputation and this is seen as a positive thing for the creditor. Whereas institutional ownership does not affect the cost of debt with a significance level of 0.847 indicating that the presence or absence of institutional ownership of companies - companies in Indonesia does not affect the institutional ownership relationship and the cost of debt.

This research to examine the influence of Good Corporate Governance, which includes managerial ownership, institutional ownership, board composition and audit quality of company value proxied by Tobin's Q. The number of samples in this study are 21 manufacturing companies, especially the consumer goods sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2014 and 2015. Analysis method of this research using Partial Least Square (PLS). The result of the research shows that managerial ownership and board of commissioner have no significant effect to company value, while institutional ownership and audit quality have significant effect to company value.

Abstract ˗ The purpose of this research is to obtain empirical evidence of the effect of Tax Avoidance, Institutional Ownership, Operating Cash Flow and Leverage on the Cost of Debt. This study uses a causal-comparative research method with secondary data obtained from the financial statements of property companies. The population in this study were 49 property companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The sampling technique was purposive sampling in order to obtain a representative sample of 17 property companies. This study uses multiple regression analysis to test the hypothesis. Based on the research results indicate that Tax Avoidance and Operating Cash Flow do not have a significant effect on the cost of debt and collectively tax avoidance, institutional ownership, operating cash flow, leverage simultaneously affect the cost of debt.   Keywords: Tax Avoidance; Institutional Ownership; Operating Cash Flow; Leverage; Cost of Debt

This study aims to determine the effect of the audit tenure, audit committee, and audit capacity stress on audit quality as measured by earnings surprise benchmark approach. The research used secondary data. The population was all manufacturing companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange in the period of 2015-2017. The data collection technique used is purposive sampling and 303 samples obtained data. The independent variables were audit tenure, audit committee, and audit capacity stress at the significance level of 5%.  This study using logistic regression analysis techniques. The result of the research showed that audit tenure had no significant influence on audit quality with a significance level that is equal to 0.145, audit committee had no significant influence on audit quality a significance level that is equal to 0.652, and audit capacity stress had no significant influence on audit quality a significance level that is equal to 0.522 of the manufacturing companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange

Profitability in manufacturing companies in Nigeria depends on the ability of the companies to grow their earnings and tame their cost profile through cost control techniques. Many manufacturing companies seem not to understand these costs and the impact they have on profitability. This study examined the effect of cost control on the profitability of selected manufacturing companies in Nigeria. The population of the study was the 78 manufacturing companies listed on the Nigeria Stock Exchange as at 31st December 2017. A sample frame of 23 companies listed on the consumer goods sector was selected out of which five companies were considered for a period of 10 years (2005 – 2017). The study adopted a judgmental sampling technique. Data were obtained from the audited financial statement, and the accounts have already validated by regulatory authorities. The study took descriptive and inferential (regression) statistics. It was found that there is a significant negative relationship between the cost of raw materials (CoRM) and profit before tax of manufacturing companies in Nigeria. The study concluded that cost control has a significant positive effect on the profitability of manufacturing companies in Nigeria for the period under review. Therefore, it is recommended adequate management and alternative sourcing of raw materials.

The aim of this study is to test the influence of tax avoidance towards the cost of debt moderated by institutional ownership. In this research, tax avoidance measured by proxy of Book Tax Different (BTD) and Cash Effective Tax Rate (CETR). The population in this research is manufacturing firms that listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) with 2015-2017 time periods. The amount of sample before outlier is 198 datas collected with purposive sampling method, then the amount of sample after outlier is 187 datas for first model and 186 datas for second model. Cross section data is used in this research. Multiple linear regression, determination coefficients, and partial test (t-test) is used with some help of programming data using SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solution) 23th version to analize in this research. The result of this study indicate tax avoidance has not significant influence towards the cost of debt, and institutional ownership can’t moderate the relationship between tax avoidance and the cost of debt.

ABSTRACT        This study aimed to examine and analyze the executive characters, profitability, leverage and independent commissioners on tax avoidance, and the effect of character executive, profitability, leverage and independent commissioners on tax avoidance with institutional ownership as a moderating variable. The population in this study is the Manufacturing Companies in the Industrial Consumer Goods Sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2014-2018. The sample in this study is only 100 companies that passed in the sample criteria. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling method. The analytical method is using Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). The results showed that executive character had negative effect on tax avoidance, profitability had no effect on tax avoidance, leverage had an effect on tax avoidance, and independent commissioners had no effect on tax avoidance. And also, institutional ownership can strengthen the moderation between character executive with tax avoidance, institutional ownership can weaken the moderation between profitability with tax avoidance, institutional ownership can weaken the moderation between leverage with tax avoidance. ABSTRAK        Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji dan menganalisis karakter eksekutif, profitabilitas, leverage, komisaris independen terhadap tax avoidance, serta pengaruh dari karakter eksekutif, profitabilitas, leverage terhadap tax avoidance dengan kepemilikan institusional sebagai variabel moderasi. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu Perusahaan Manufaktur Sektor Industri Barang Konsumsi yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) tahun 2014-2018. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 100 perusahaan yang lolos dalam kriteria sampel. Metode analisis yang digunakan yaitu Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa karakter eksekutif berpengaruh terhadap tax avoidance, profitabilitas dan komisaris independen tidak berpengaruh terhadap tax avoidance, leverage berpengaruh terhadap tax avoidance. Kepemilikan institusional dapat memperkuat moderasi antara pengaruh karakter eksekutif dengan tax avoidance, kepemilikan institusional dapat memperlemah moderasi antara profitabilitas dan leverage dengan tax avoidance. The purpose of this study is to prove the effect of tax avoidance, institutional ownership, and profitability on cost of debt. The sample consisted of 71 manufactured firms in listed in Indonesian Stock Exchange from 2011-2015 by using a purposive sampling method. The results of the study showed that the tax avoidance had negative effect on cost of debt. The meaning is getting smaller Cash Effective Tax Rate the cost of debt incurred greater. The results of this study also showed that the institutional ownership doesn’t had effect on cost of debt. Furthermore, the result of Return on Assets (ROA) as proxy profitability had a negative effect on cost of debt. The meaning that the higher the profitability of the company then the company will have a high internal funds that can be used in making the use of debt financing is getting smaller which causes the cost of debt also becomes smaller.

This study aims to examine and analyse the effect of managerial ownership and firm size on debt policy in the perspective of agency theory. This research uses industrial samples of manufacturing companies listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2012 until 2016. Sampling technique used is purposive sampling, and data collection techniques are panel data (cross-section and time series). The analysis tool used in this research is panel data regression with fixed effect model (FEM) approach. Based on the test results show that managerial ownership has a positive and significant effect on debt policy. Company Size has a negative impact but insignificant on debt policy. The results of this study have the potential for agency conflict.

This study is to conducted to examine the effect of variable earning persistence and leverage toward earning response coefficient. This study used 15 manufacturing companies belonging goodand food industry are listed in the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2011-2013. The sampling technique used in this research was purposive sampling, based on criteria, there are 35 companies and tested with multiple regression analysis. The type of data used is secondary data obtained from www.idx.co.id and yahoo.finance.com and hypothesis test using t-statistic and f-statistic with significance level of 5%. These results indicate that the effect is not significant earnings persistence and leverage significant effect. The resulted of examinations can be used as basic information for investors before do the injections. Based on this study it can be delivered to the investor Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) to pay attention to other factors in response to the earnings announcement on the company's stock market analysis.

This study aims to analyze the effect of institutional ownership, managerial ownership, environmental performance, and firm size on CSRD. CSRD measurement based on GRI-G4 is seen from the company's annual report. The population of this study are manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange 2017-2019, which are 492 companies. The research sample was taken using a purposive sampling technique, with observations for 3 years. So, the number of samples studied were 73 companies. Hypothesis testing in this study using multiple regression analysis. The results showed that corporate governance, namely institutional ownership and managerial ownership, had no effect on CSRD. While the environment has a positive effect on CSRD and company size has no effect on CSRD companies.
