The article discusses possible transport and logistics schemes for a «door-to-door» passenger trip on intercity and suburban routes in the riverine regions by hovercraft. An analysis of a number of research works of Russian scientists and English-language sources in the field of passenger transport quality has been carried out, which has shown that the study of transport and logistics schemes for a passenger’s trip concerning factors such as distance, cost, travel time according to any presented typical «door-to-door» scheme on bus routes and hovercraft are not found on intercity and suburban routes in the riverine regions. The author proposes typical transport and logistics schemes for passenger trips in alternative routes and an analytical method for developing the technological process of passenger trips on intercity and suburban routes by road and river transport with an algorithm for determining time costs that can be used in transport organizations.

Mobility is extremely important for economic development and for the quality of life of citizens who are free to travel both for leisure and leisure purposes and for business purposes or training. In this article, being the next in a series of publications on international competition passenger transport, results are presented analysis of transport offers from Warsaw to the capitals of the countries of Central Europe. Comparisons were made with individualized transport and public transport. Considered taken availability of the means of transport, travel time and price.

Presents the results of testing the methodology for determining the passenger's travel time according to the "door-to-door" scheme on intra-city and suburban routes using hovercrafts. The introduction presents the results of the analysis of a number of research works of domestic and foreign scientists in the field of passenger transportation by hovercraft. The analysis showed that studies of passenger travel taking into account such factors as distance and time according to the "door-to-door" scheme on intra-city and suburban routes in riverine regions by buses and hovercraft do not occur, which means that the chosen research topic is relevant. The methods section summarizes the basics of calculations and initial data for testing the methodology for determining the time spent by passengers on a trip using a hovercraft. The results section provides graphical data as a result of testing the methodology. The opinion of the authors of the article on the use of alternative travel options by a passenger on intra-city and suburban routes by road and (or) river transport is put up for discussion. In the final part of the article, it is determined that this method of determining the travel time of a passenger on intra-city, and in comparison, may be of interest both for passengers and transport organizations.

he paper considers a possibility to apply gravity models for calculation of intercity passenger transport corres- pondences which are implemented with the help of public transport. The Ukraine transportation system has been selected as an object of investigation and this approach extends application possibilities of the obtained results. Calibration coefficients used in calculation of the indicated correspondences are rather important and significant in case of forecasting passenger transport correspondences. Formalization of these factors is necessary for every transportation system if a calculation of pas-senger transport correspondences has been made for it. In this case searching for actual calibration parameters and other coef-ficients as components of gravitational models is a relevant objective of the given paper. Selection of the gravity model va- riant plays rather significant role in solution of this problem. The developed methods for calculation of passenger transport correspondences are proposed for their application in respect of various transport and trip types. The executed research works have made it possible to investigate a process pertaining to providing of services for passenger transportation while using public routes. The obtained characteristics on functioning of the studied system have allowed to assess the possibility for ap-plication of the known methods for calculation of passenger correspondences and analyze the quality of their application. Calibration coefficients have been empirically selected for calculation of the indicated correspondences while using method of gravity modeling. Formalization of previously unexplored parameters of gravity model component provides the possibility to apply the considered approach for calculation of passenger correspondences within the framework of the investigated trans-portion system. This makes it possible to plan and arrange interaction of various transport types and provides new data and knowledge on the studied system.

Household traffic surveys are widely used in travel behavior analysis, especially in travel time and distance analysis. Unfortunately, any one kind of household traffic surveys has its own problems. Even all household traffic survey data is accurate, it is difficult to get the trip routes information. To our delight, electric map API (e.g., Google Maps, Apple Maps, Baidu Maps, and Auto Navi Maps) could provide the trip route and time information, which remedies the traditional traffic survey’s defect. Thus, we can take advantage of the two kinds of data and integrate them into travel behavior analysis. In order to test the validity of the Baidu electric map API data, a field study on 300 taxi OD pairs is carried out. According to statistical analysis, the average matching rate of total OD pairs is 90.74%, which reflects high accuracy of electric map API data. Based on the fused data of household traffic survey and electric map API, travel behavior on trip time and distance is analyzed. Results show that most purposes’ trip distances distributions are concentrated, which are no more than 10 kilometers. It is worth noting that students have the shortest travel distance and company business’s travel distance distribution is dispersed, which has the longest travel distance. Compared to travel distance, the standard deviations of all purposes’ travel time are greater than the travel distance. Car users have longer travel distance than bus travelers, and their average travel distance is 8.58km.

Peculiarities of transport services for the transportation of passengers, which must be taken into account when creating logistics models for organizing and managing passenger flows, are considered. Need of cost reduction of time of passengers for transport service is proved. The conclusion is drawn on need of the effective transport system creation, for the purpose of observance of intervals of the movement of buses on routes. The possibility of use of architectural approximations classes for the solution of transport logistics problems is analysed. The methods used for solving transport problems where the most widespread is modeling and algorithmization of the determined task formulation strategy with use of a classical algorithm of mathematical programming are considered. The prospects of a meta-heuristic method use is a genetic algorithm for the solution of tasks of the control of city passenger transport adapted to objective conditions are proved. The main features of genetic algorithms consisting in an opportunity by optimization to use criterion function and to consider the necessary number of restrictions are defined. The structure of a chromosome which represents the coded option of the movement of the bus in real time depending on a road situation is received.

This paper explores how alternative pricing and operating policies influence revenue generation, level of service, and travel time costs for high occupancy toll (HOT) lane facilities. A framework for modeling HOT lanes is applied to a hypothetical facility. The analysis suggests that the way in which tolls are set can have a non-trivial influence on competing measures of HOT lane performance. Other operating characteristics, such as the number of lanes designated as free and priced and whether carpools are allowed to ride free or must pay a toll to access the HOT lanes, are shown to significantly influence performance as well.

During the years of evolvement traditional modes of transport actually have depleted reserves intended for their further development. However, the growing population in major cities, massive migration, economic and social processes bring forward absolutely new passenger transportation requirements, which can’t be satisfied to the fullest extent nowadays, and in the nearest future they will serve as a powerful factor in its development. Fundamentally new technical solutions, which would tackle the whole complex of problems (security, a distance range, travel time, cost of transport; one-time investment, etc) more efficiently, are required. The use of separate track structures solves these problems most effectively.
Having analyzed various options of passenger transport complexes with separate track structures, the authors concluded that the track structure in the form of the elevated trestle of a pipeline type is the most rational for urban conditions.
