Introduction. An important component in the management system of the enterprise is the assessment of the effectiveness of management actions, which involves comparing the results of activities with the costs of achieving these results. As costs can be considered any cost of resources (fixed assets, materials, labour resources in the form of working time, wages, etc.). Methods. The theoretical and methodological basis of the study is a systematic approach and dialectical method of cognition, which were used to study the fundamental provisions of economics on the formation of cost management of vegetable enterprises. General scientific methods were used to achieve the goal of the study: analysis, synthesis, induction, deduction (determination of the essence of the category “costs”, generalization of the peculiarities of the formation of costs of agricultural enterprises and the basics of their management); abstract and logical (formulation of conclusions, proposals) and other generally accepted methods and modern economic and statistical techniques. Results. Summarizing the existing approaches to determining the nature of production costs, we can conclude that they represent a fee for the possibility of production (fee for the use of resources, services, works, etc.), which varies depending on the conditions of its implementation, which allows to achieve goals (the main of which in terms of market relations is profit maximization). Discussion. Ukraine's transition to IFRS will certainly improve the quality of economic information in the field of cost accounting and product costing, associated with a number of difficulties due to differences in management accounting methodology, as well as cost accounting according to IFRS and NP (S) of accounting. These include differences in terminology and categorization of the methodological apparatus, in the composition and principles of grouping and distribution of costs; different approaches to explaining the nature and origin of cost groups and their distribution; temporary focus in accounting and cost analysis. In our opinion, these difficulties can be solved and require further study and classification of differences in cost accounting systems, as well as the development of methods for transforming cost data generated in one of the systems adopted by the company as a basis for parallel format data. Keywords: costs, prime cost, resource, production, capital, wastage, losses.

Abstract Cooperative-based growth model for agricultural enterprises is gradually gaining popularity in application. This study examined the effect of cooperative financial intervention on the growth of catfish aquaculture value chain in Nigeria. Primary data collected, with well-structured questionnaire from 120 participants in aquaculture value chain, were analyzed with descriptive statistical tools, cost and return function and 4-point likert-type scale. The result shows that 32.3% and 27.3% of processors and input suppliers accessed N320,000 and N270,000, respectively. Only 18.2% of producers accessed N180,000. The result indicates that there are more catfish producers than any other operators in the value chain. There is interdependence between catfish producers and input suppliers, processors and marketers in the value chain. Furthermore, catfish processors and inputs suppliers accessed more cooperative loan because their activities were capital intensive. The relatively high amount of cooperative fund accessed by these groups translated high growth rate of 55% and 53%, respectively. The major constraints to the growth of catfish value chain were inadequate credit access and high expenditure on inputs. Operators in the catfish aquaculture value chain should be encouraged to attend workshops on management techniques to improve the efficiency of their businesses.

Modern enterprise production management is a complex, time-consuming and multifaceted process. It sets new requirements for the organization of cost accounting and needs to expand control over the formation of production cost by industries, cost centers, technological redistribution, types of products (works, services). There is also a need to determine the impact of costs on the implementation of the latest technologies and improve product quality. Important elements of accounting policies are cost accounting methods. The correct choice and use of cost accounting methods contribute to a quick assessment of the appropriateness of spending. At present, the legislation of Ukraine does not specify a specific method of applying certain methods of cost accounting. The imperfection of modern domestic methods of cost accounting creates certain difficulties in their choice to solve the tasks set before the enterprise. The purpose of the article is to reveal the essence of cost accounting methods and to determine the most effective ones for consolidation in the accounting policy of agricultural enterprises. In the article the question of estimation of the role of registration policies is exposed in the process of the enterprise management. The component elements of registration politics are certainly connected with the account of spending. Different approaches of the researchers are considered in relation to the essence of methods of accounting costs and their classification. It is set that classification of methods of accounting of productive costs is the object of scientific discussions and generally accepted classification of methods has not been developed yet. The author gives general characteristics of the features of agricultural enterprises activities that have considerable influence on the process of administrative decision-making and directly determine the construction of the accounts of costs. Certainly, methods of cost accounting are the important element of registration policy of agricultural enterprises. Systematization of branch and organizational factors that influence the choice of the methods for cost accounting at agricultural enterprises is carried out. The use of the combined methods for accounting the costs is suggested, that is conditioned by the branch features of agricultural enterprises activity and formation of registration policy concerning cost accounting.

The article examines the impact of digital technologies on agricultural production. Digital technologies are classified according to the degree of influence on the development of agricultural enterprises. Groups of technologies with high average and low impact on the configuration of the value chain in agricultural production are identified. The basic (main) and auxiliary (possible) conditions for digitalization of agricultural production are defined, which are the starting point for implementing digital transformations in the agricultural sector of the economy. Along with significant advantages, the key problems of implementing digital innovations in agricultural production are identified.

Outsourcing is beneficial for enterprises to integrate production factors, strengthen core forces and realize value chain appreciation. Based on the data of 42 agricultural listed companies from 2,015 to 2,019, the outsourcing level of agricultural enterprises was measured, and the influencing factors of agricultural enterprise outsourcing were analyzed. The results show that the level of outsourcing of agricultural enterprises in 2015 to 2,019 showed a slow downward trend, the outsourcing level of agricultural enterprises has policy continuity, and the outsourcing level of the current period is affected by the outsourcing level of the previous period; the larger the market scale, the higher the proportion of business outsourcing; and the transaction costs significantly inhibit the outsourcing decision of agricultural enterprises. Finally, the paper puts forward the policy suggestions to promote the healthy development of the agricultural outsourcing market.

The main goal of this study was to provide a critical analysis of the oil and fat sub-complex for deep walnut processing, to determine and compare the profitability of enterprises’ activities under different business models for implementation in the agro-food value chain. The latter was considered as an important factor for the development of the domestic market of walnuts and export opportunities. Business modeling of the enterprise activity in the oil and fat sub-complex for deep walnut processing was carried out. The stages of production and marketing activities of the enterprise from the garden planting or the purchase of the processed raw materials to the sale of the processed raw materials and products obtained from walnut processing depending on the chosen business model were considered. A comparative analysis of profitability of the enterprise activity and absolute values of income and profitability indicators under various business models of the enterprise activity were shown. The most cost-effective business-model entailed the combination of walnut production and its processing, which will provide profitability of up to 4640.32% in the 20th year of the project implementation. The results of the given study are intended for the agricultural enterprises of central region of Ukraine.

In the context of economic globalization and production fragmentation, the boom in intermediate and processing trade has made EEIT (emission embodied in international trade) accounting and the recognition of its responsibility more and more complicated, and the drawbacks of traditional gross value statistics more and more conspicuous. The rapid development of global value chain theory in recent years has given rise to a decomposition framework of the trade flow in a country’s export, based on the global value chain, which offers new methods to study EEIT and allocate its responsibility. The combination of global value chain accounting and EEIT research can offer new ways to research EEIT transfer and allocate its responsibility. Utilization of this technique can help understand each country’s “common but differentiated responsibility” in emission reduction. Finally, aiming at the knowledge gaps in current analysis, this paper attempts to discuss the trends, and possible challenges, in research on EEIT, and its responsibility based on the global value chain theory.
