This study aimed to identify and analyze how the genogram and ecomap have been used in Brazilian nursing, summarizing this area's contribution to family care. Integrative review, combining predetermined key words and descriptor in LILACS and SciELO, besides a non-systemized search in five qualified nursing journals, published between 2000 and 2010. Inclusion and exclusion criteria guided the paper selection, resulting in a sample of 34 articles. The genogram and ecomap have been mainly used as complementary tools in research data collection. Its use as an approximation between interviewer and interviewee, in teaching and as a therapeutic resource are hardly explored. The use and dissemination of these tools are essential to understand the family, picturing its structure and interactions with the community, enhancing the participation of individuals, and contributing to the understanding of the context of each family, which is vital to nursing care.

Abstract This study is an integrative review with the aim to identify and describe the scientific evidence of the practical effect of physical activity in people with mental disorders. For the selection of articles, the databases CINAHL, MEDLINE, LILACS, SciELO, Cochrane and Scopus were used. The sample of this review consisted of eight articles. Their analysis resulted in the categories: obesity and metabolic syndrome, specialized nursing, sedentary and healthy lifestyles, support and social network, incentive to the practice of physical activity, and anxiety and physical activity. The benefits to physical health were partially elucidated by the sample. The implications for nursing care arise from the therapeutic efficacy of physical activity by people with mental disorders, adding individual and collective benefits that provide socialization and promotion of well-being.

The included studies (n=10) were grouped into thematic categories: risk factors for skin lesions in hospitalized newborns and their consequences; and nursing care to promote the integrity of the skin of hospitalized newborns. The main care identified were lubrication with emollient agents, use of hydrocolloids and transparent film, changes in decubitus, hygiene techniques, phototherapy and invasive procedures. The results of the review offer guidance for the conduction of researches that investigate interventions that are more effective in the prevention and treatment of skin injuries and their consequences. The analyses for the selection of the articles occurred in three distinct stages. The first phase was carried out by the researchers, based on the subsidies provided by the title and keywords, the second, the second was the reading of the selected abstracts and the third last selection phase, where finally the reading of the papers that provided subsidies to the study occurred. The goal of surgical positioning is to promote access to the surgical site. It should be carried out correctly to ensure patient safety and prevent complications. This integrative literature review aimed to search for and evaluate available evidences in literature about nursing care related to surgical positioning of adult patients in the intraoperative period. Pubmed, Cinahl and Lilacs databases were used for the selection of the articles. The sample consisted of 20 articles. The synthesis of the available evidence showed that included studies focused on three main topics: risk factors for developing complications, complications due to surgical positioning and nursing care related to surgical positioning. Among the gaps in the research theme, the need to conduct studies on effective devices for each type of surgical position is highlighted.

The COVID-19 pandemic can affect the health of a family. One of the effects is the change in interaction and communication patterns within a family. Nurses are required to have a perspective on family care needs, so indirectly the role of nurses to provide family care, communication and interaction must be well established. Communication is needed to build family resilience in responding to COVID-19. A literature review was conducted using electronic databases such as ProQuest and Pubmed. The search identified 9 relevant articles on family nursing care; while 2 articles address the main topic, 7 articles and 1 book were considered as supporting data. Family nursing care implements a component such as communication or conversation between nurses and families during the COVID-19 pandemic. The studies emphasize the importance of family nursing care during the pandemic, and stress the need for the nurse to understand and incorporate individual family circumstances into the discussion. This will allow them to help promote the optimal family functioning and protect the health of family members.   Keywords: family, household, nursing care, COVID-19 pandemic
