Humanity’s progress is determined by its spiritual, intellectual and physical potential. The role of each of them is equally important. All types of potential capabilities are developed through the process of learning and education, which have their own types of resources and technologies to ensure the quality of education and health. The digital learning environment is a new kind of educational resource that has emerged as a result of technological advances in this century. Based on a comparative analysis, the reasons for the emergence of a new form of didactogeny in the digital educational environment: nomophobia, caused by smartphone addiction among young people, have been identified. The method of theoretical analysis of relevant publications allowed for the propagation level of this form of didactogeny to be revealed. The result: 53% of UK residents suffer from nomophobia, while in Russia only 3 teenagers out of 68 subjects were able to go without a using phone for 8 hours and engage in intellectual activities, from which they gained satisfaction and new knowledge. An empirical questionnaire study showed that 41.29 per cent of young people in Russia’s student population reported being overloaded with information from various types of sources. Conclusions: there are no formal health and hygiene requirements for the digital learning environment; ‘cliched’ thinking is widespread among the new generation; an emotional overload of students is emerging, which leads to neuroticism and depression; new forms of didactogenia such as nomophobia are developing in the educational process; low digital academic literacy is diagnosed among educational process participants.

This paper deals with the general problem whether and, if so, how far the impact of the digitised learning environment on our traditional distance education will change the way in which teachers teach and learners learn. Are the dramatic innovations a menace to established ways of learning and teaching or are they the panacea to overcome some of the difficulties of our system of higher learning and to solve some of our educational problems caused by the big and far-reaching educational paradigm shift? This paper will not deal with technical or technological achievements in the field of information and communication which are, of course, revolutionary and to be acknowledged and admired. Rather, the digital learning environment will be analysed from a pedagogical point of view in order to find out what exactly are the didactic possibilities and opportunities and what are its foreseeable disadvantages.

The outbreak of COVID-19 and national measures undertaken to tackle the spread of the virus may cause significant disruption to the provision of education opportunities for learners and teachers. In Italy, most schools did not practice online teaching before the emergency, and in a short time head teachers, teachers, students had to face new technological tools and deal with a new type of teaching. The PPS – “Problem Posing and Solving” – project offered to all Italian teachers and schools, for free, a way of carrying out Online Education through a nationwide integrated Digital Learning Environment (DLE). In this paper we present a case study of a high school that used one DLE for online teaching of the entire school, embedded in a larger DLE at national level. The goal of this research is to present the integrated DLE of the project and the reasons why this case study can represent an effective model for online teaching of a school under different dimensions (technological, human and pedagogical). The results show that the teachers and the school head agree with our point of view. Most teachers are very supportive of using one DLE and think that this facilitates students and collaboration among teachers. Being included in a larger project allows teachers to compare, collaborate and share experiences and materials with teachers from all over Italy, and to have continuous technical and training support.

The purpose and tasks of the work are to analyze the contemporary Ukrainian mass culture in terms of its value and humanistic components, as well as the importance of cultural studies and Ukrainian studies in educational disciplines for the formation of a holistic worldview of modern youth.Analysis of research and publications. Scientists repeatedly turned to the problems of the role of spirituality in the formation of society and its culture. This problem is highlighted in the publications by O. Losev, V. Lytvyn, D. Likhachev, S. Avierintsev, M. Zakovych, I. Stepanenko and E. Kostyshyn.Experts see the main negative impact of mass culture on the quality approach, which determines mass culture through the market, because mass culture, from our point of view, is everything that is sold and used in mass demand. One of the most interesting studies on this issue was the work by the representatives of Frankfurt School M. Horkheimer and T. Adorno «Dialectics of Enlightenment» (1947), devoted to a detailed analysis of mass culture. Propaganda at all socio-cultural levels in the form is similar in both totalitarian and democratic countries. It is connected, according to the authors, with the direction of European enlightenment. The tendency to unify people is a manifestation of the influence of mass culture, from cinema to pop. Mass culture is a phenomenon whose existence is associated with commerce (accumulation in any form – this is the main feature of education), in general, the fact that it exists in this form is related to the direction of the history of civilization.Modern mass culture, with its externally attractive and easily assimilated ideas and symbols, appealing to the trends of modern fashion, becomes a standard of prestigious consumption, does not require intense reflection, allows you to relax, distract, not teach, but entertains, preaches hedonism as the main spiritual value. And as a consequence, there are socio-cultural risks: an active rejection of other people, which leads to the formation of indifference; cruelty as a character trait; increase of violent and mercenary crime; increase in the number of alcohol and drug addicts; anti-patriotism; indifference to the values of the family and as a result of social orphanhood and prostitution. Conclusions, perspectives of research. Thus, we can conclude that modern Ukrainian education is predominantly formed by the values of mass culture. Namely, according to the «Dialectic» by Horkheimer and Adorno, «semi-enlightenment becomes an objective spirit» of our modern society. It is concluded that only high-quality education can create the opposite of the onset of mass culture and the destruction of spirituality in our society. It is proved that only by realizing the importance of cultivating disciplines in the educational process and the spiritual upbringing of the nation, through educational reforms, humanitarian knowledge will gradually return to student audiences.Formation of youth occurs under the influence of social environment, culture, education and self-education. The optimal combination of these factors determines both the process of socialization itself and how successful it will be. In this context, one can see the leading role of education and upbringing. It turns out that the main task of modern education is to spread its influence on the development of spiritual culture of the individual, which eventually becomes a solid foundation for the formation of the individual. Such a subject requires both philosophical and humanitarian approaches in further integrated interdisciplinary research, since the availability of such research will provide the theoretical foundation for truly modern educational and personal development.

Constructivism allows the student to build knowledge and learning on his own. Through the discovery, experimentation, and tests, the student tries to consolidate the learning objects. Τhis chapter approaches constructivism through the use of methods used by information technology. An advantage of IT tools is the interaction that turns the teaching into experiential and experimental where the student tries to evaluate and improve his abilities. Methods such as robotics, interactive television, and the use of the internet provide forms of interactive learning based on the methodology of game-based learning, which contribute to constructivism. In this chapter, once the construction and importance in education and especially in IT is presented, the importance of game-based learning and video games is presented. The authors show the role of robotics and the internet in relation to the interaction they offer, and also the role of interactive television in the educational process from the point of view of constructivism.

The modern education system in most countries is built on providing equitable education opportunities to all people, regardless of the limitations they have. There are no significant problems in primary and secondary inclusive education, while most traditional higher education models are not sufficiently adapted to the needs of people with learning disabilities. Thus, it has been replaced by a blended learning model built on new digital learning environments in recent years. The aim of the article is to study the blended learning environment of inclusive educa-tion systems in China and Russia. The article presents the findings of a “The Global Learner Survey”, conducted on behalf of Pearson in May 2019 by The Harris Poll. The survey involved over 11,000 learners aged 16-70 across nine-teen countries. Additionally, statistics on the higher education development in Russia and China were used. The analysis of the current state of higher education in Russia and China, as well as the development of a blended learning environ-ment, shows the positive effect as that it allows students with limited educational opportunities to integrate into the educational and public life of the university and implement all types of rehabilitation along with the educational process.
