With this chapter, the authors aim to present a theoretical review about the use of digital technologies in kindergartens, with preschool children. They begin by taking a theoretical and generalized approach to the subject. Next, they present the added value for children when using technologies. The importance of the kindergarten teacher in the use of technologies by younger children is also explored, as well as the factors that influence technological integration in schools and kindergartens. The authors present a project carried out in Portugal, which refers to publications of books for pre-school children, with the aim of sensitizing children of these ages for a safe use of technologies. Finally, they round it up with some brief conclusions.

This article considers the formation of interdisciplinary links at senior schoolchildren through their interest in cybersport. In the introduction the authors explain that it is impossible to imagine modern life without digital technologies. Cybersport is becoming more and more popular and it is hardly possible to ignore this interest in educational purposes. The relevance of the subject is defined by the requirement of the Federal State Standard which writes that it is necessary to form interdisciplinary competences. The article gives the analysis of educational institutions which are introducing the program of cybersport and provides some examples of the universities in the USA, Norway, Sweden and Russia. The material of the investigation is the regulations restricting cybersport in school education, articles on educational website. The methods employed are the following: analysis, synthesis, modeling. The results of the investigation show that great interest in cybersport within education lets us form universal learning actions taking into consideration senior schoolchildren’ interest and help to develop interdisciplinary and communicative skills. The authors come to the conclusion that the development of cybersport at schools is necessary because such digital educational environment can be means of formation of interdisciplinary ability of senior schoolchildren under the conditions of online studying.

The subject of the research is the influence of the insurance market digitalization on competition forms in insurance. The purpose of the research was to study the forms of competition and factors of competitiveness in the process of digitalization of insurance activities. The research findings revealed the specifics of competition between insurance companies in digital sales channels of insurance services, and identified groups of new factors in the competitiveness of insurance programs. The paper describes two models of the policyholder behavior typical for traditional and digital sales channels in the insurance market — classical and digital. It is concluded that the digitalization of the insurance market influences the competition between insurance companies making a shift towards the channel competition and contributing to the emergence of new competition factors for insurance programs developed with digital technologies.

The article discusses the experience of using models in remedial work with children with mental retardation of preschool age in kindergarten conditions. Examples of outlines of lessons with this category of preschool children 6-7 years old are offered. The reactions of children to the introduction of models are illustrated. The aim of the article is to show that models are an effective technique for children with mental retardation to perceive cognitive material, because they stimulate children to independent voluntary purposeful activity. This is facilitated by the model algorithm, which includes generalized images that are familiar to children and do not cause them difficulties. We have taken into account that for children with mental retardation the operation "comparison" is one of the difficult ones, but through it the relations between objects and phenomena of the external world are learned. Comparison therefore plays an important role in cognition Comparison helps to generalise and systematise knowledge. The process of comparison is a necessary condition for generalisation. The model can help children with mental retardation to find similarities between objects, which for them is rather more difficult than finding differences.

By all measures attempted, scientific literacy of the American public is sadly wanting. The vast majority of our secondary school children and adults have no knowledge of most of the basic terms or concepts of science. The reasons for this shortcoming are many but prominent among them are sadly deficient texts, teachers untrained in the subject matter they teach, and college and university scientists who divorce themselves from the problem, although probably deploring it. Our institutions are no aid. They reward scientific productivity (read: number of papers published per year and research dollars), not teaching. Some suggested cures are production of better texts, training of science teachers in the field in which they teach, and, most importantly, involvement of scientists in the process. We must be willing to spend some of our time with secondary school pupils and their teachers. All will gain from the experience.

Active introduction of digital technologies in all spheres of life is one of the main directions of state development as a whole and separate sphere of activity. The issue of using information technologies and systems during forensic examination is the subject of scientific research of many domestic and foreign scientists, but this sphere remains relevant. The introduction of digital technologies in forensic activities is one of the priority areas for the forensic science development at the present stage and has significant development potential. One of the areas of optimization and improvement of forensic activity is the development of methods to automate the formation of forensic experts and unify the description of the research process, identified features, justification and formulation of forensic conclusions, which requires legislative consolidation and regulation, analysis and definition of the subject area and development requirements and algorithms for the operation of the system interface. Unification and standardization of the content of forensic experts' opinions requires the development of common standards and an information system adopted by all subjects of forensic expertise, and meets the needs of practice. The development of an information system for forming an expert opinion and automatically forming an expert opinion will allow formalizing and unifying the description of research and results of forensic examinations, optimizing the time of forensic experts and potentially reducing the number of logical, typographical and technical errors, and simplifying quality control of forensic examinations. The proposed system will not only automate the technical work of registration of research results carried out during forensic examinations, but will also contain research algorithms, which will be stored in the form of data on already conducted research of similar objects (list and sequence of operations, identified features and their parameters).

The use of digital devices by children is on the rise and a better understanding of their usage behaviour can be helpful in designing better ways of imparting education. As per data from the Indonesia Internet Service Provider Association (APJII), in 2018, almost 50% of elementary school children were using the internet. However, an introduction to digital technologies is not included under the topics covered in state elementary schools in Indonesia. Field work involving teachers and children in state and non-state elementary schools, officials in ministries, ICT vendors, parents were conducted through interviews, observations and workshops related to the use of digital technology to better understand the digital behaviour of children. It was found that elementary school children get exposed to digital technology at a very early age and while the duration of use varies according to parental involvement and awareness, the content consumed by children is, in most cases, not appropriate for their age. This study illustrates that monitoring digital use among children is currently a challenge for parents, and digital literacy, which includes introduction to both positive and negative effects of digital devices as well as appropriate digital use behaviour, should become an important part of the theme of learning in elementary schools in Indonesia to ensure digital technologies help in the shaping of children's attitudes and character, in a manner that is valued and beneficial to the society.
