Currently, transfering a huge amount of video data from on premise to the public cloud is very slow. In this article, the researcher uses a set of self-developed software written in Python, C, and Bash to improve the speed of data transmission and analysis of drone-generated videos taken in eight different cities on the American continent to the public cloud of Amazon Web Services. The author uses several tools, compression, parallel threads execution, and the autoscaling feature of the public cloud vendor to tune the process of transmission and analysis in 78% of the speed compared to the common sequential transmission and single node option.

The public cloud Amazon Web Service (AWS) provides a wide range of services like computation, networking, analytics, development and management tools, application services, mobile services, and management of Internet-of-Things (IoT) devices. The Amazon Web Services (AWS) IoT is an excellent IoT cloud platform and is exclusively responsible for connecting devices into various fields like healthcare, biology, municipal setup, smart homes, marketing, industrial, agriculture, education, automotive, etc. This chapter highlights many other initiatives promoted by AWS IoT. The main motive of this chapter is to present how AWS IoT works. The chapter starts with the design principles of AWS IoT services. Further, the authors present a detailed description of the AWS IoT components (e.g., Device SDK, Message Broker, Rule Engine, Security and Identity Service, Thing Registry, Thing Shadow, and Thing Shadow Service). The chapter concludes with a description of various challenges faced by AWS IoT and future research directions.

Cloud computing has rapidly become a viable competitor to on-premise infrastructure from both management and cost perspectives. This research provides insight into cluster computing performance and variability in cloud-provisioned infrastructure from two popular public cloud providers. A comparative examination of the two cloud platforms using synthetic benchmarks is provided. In this article, we compared the performance of Amazon Web Services Elastic Compute Cluster (EC2) to the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Compute Engine using three benchmarks: STREAM, IOR, and NPB-EP. Experiments were conducted on clusters with increasing nodes from one to eight. We also performed experiments over the course of two weeks where benchmarks were run at similar times. The benchmarks provided performance metrics for bandwidth (STREAM), read and write performance (IOR), and operations per second (NPB-EP). We found that EC2 outperformed GCP for bandwidth. Both provided good scalability and reliability for bandwidth with GCP showing a slight deviation during the two-week trial. GCP outperformed EC2 in both the read and write tests (IOR) as well as the operations per second test. However, GCP was extremely variable during the read and write tests over the two-week trial. Overall, each platform excelled in different benchmarks and we found EC2 to be more reliable in general.

Cloud computing the most used word in the world of Information Technology, is creating huge differences in IT industry. Nowadays huge amount of data is being generated and the researchers are finding new ways of managing these data. Basically, the word cloud refers to a virtual database that stores huge data from various clients. There are three types of cloud public, private and hybrid. Public cloud is basically for general users where users can use cloud services free or by paying. Private cloud is for any particular organizations and hybrid one is basically combine of both. Cloud offers various kind of services such as IAAS, PAAS, SAAS where services like platform for running any application, accessing the huge storage, can use any application running under cloud are given. The cloud also has a disadvantage regarding the security for the data storage facility. Basically, the public cloud is prone to data modification, data hacking and thus the integrity and confidentiality of the data is being compromised. Here in our work the concern is to protect the data that will be stored in the public cloud by using the multi-phase encryption. The algorithm that we have proposed is a combination of Rail Fence cipher and Play Fair cipher.

In recent years, the number of forged videos circulating on the Internet has immensely increased. Software and services to create such forgeries have become more and more accessible to the public. In this regard, the risk of malicious use of forged videos has risen. This work proposes an approach based on the Ghost effect knwon from image forensics for detecting forgeries in videos that can replace faces in video sequences or change the mimic of a face. The experimental results show that the proposed approach is able to identify forgery in high-quality encoded video content.

It also affects the internal structure of society, above all the life and identitý of individuals. To understand better how it conditions their ways of life and the vision the individuals have of social reality, we should study how patriarchalism r3eaches the system of institutions and how this becomes determined by "typifications" of facts and people, and by certain roles or sexual stereotypes that hinder the access of women both to the public sphere and to tha labor market. It sum, everything that concerns the common knowledge that the members of a community share. The move towards more equality and towards a more egalitarian democracy heavily depends on the spread of civic education to the entire society.KEYWORDSPATRIARCHALISM-SOCIAL TYPIFICATION-GENDER EQUALITY

Media is considered to be the fourth pillar of democracy. Mass media in particular has immense potential to shape the attitudes of the common masses. With the passage of time, media is becoming an all-powerful engine of social change. It plays the role a catalyst in churning the minds of the masses. It would not be an exaggeration to say that the news items brought to the knowledge of the public pay a strong role in creating a mandate. People have varied choices when it comes to their media habits. They are greatly influenced by their socio-economic background and educational exposure. This paper aims to identify the influence of demographic variables like gender, age, education and employment status on the choice of media.  The paper also highlights the current and emerging media habits of people.

According to Abdulaziz Sachedina, the main argument of religious pluralism in the Qur’an based on the relationship between private belief (personal) and public projection of Islam in society. By regarding to private faith, the Qur’an being noninterventionist (for example, all forms of human authority should not be disturb the inner beliefs of individuals). While the public projection of faith, the Qur’an attitude based on the principle of coexistence. There is the willingness of the dominant race provide the freedom for people of other faiths with their own rules. Rules could shape how to run their affairs and to live side by side with the Muslims. Thus, based on the principle that the people of Indonesia are Muslim majority, it should be a mirror of a societie’s recognizion, respects and execution of religious pluralism. Abdul Aziz Sachedina called for Muslims to rediscover the moral concerns of public Islam in peace. The call for peace seemed to indicate that the existence of increasingly weakened in the religious sense of the Muslims and hence need to be reaffi rmed. Sachedina also like to emphasize that the position of peace in Islam is parallel with a variety of other doctrines, such as: prayer, fasting, pilgrimage and so on. Sachedina also tried to show the argument that the common view among religious groups is only one religion and traditions of other false and worthless. “Antipluralist” argument comes amid the reality of human religious differences. Although most economists are skeptical of or puzzled by the Catholic concept of the common good, a rejection of the economic approach as inimical to the common good would be hasty and counterproductive. Economic analysis can enrich the common good tradition in four ways. First, economics embodies a deep respect for economic agency and for the effects of policy and institutions on individual agents. Second, economics offers a rich literature on the nature of unplanned order and how it might be shaped by policy. Third, economics offers insight into the public and private provision of various kinds of goods (private, public, common pool resources). Fourth, recent work on the development and logic of institutions and norms emphasizes sustainability rooted in the good of the individual.
