As in any international business relation, factors such as political, economic, social, technological, and legal dimensions are expected to significantly impact trade activities. Social factors include the cultural aspects of exports and imports along with the differences among foreign markets. Culture poses to be complementary to FDI and exports. Cultural components include food, language, clothing, values, traditions, and beliefs, which differ from region to region across the world. When the countries are culturally different, investing and trading becomes a risk. Hence, in today's scenario, it is very important for the organizations to understand cultural differences in order to compete with their competitors. Understanding these cultural differences owes the opportunity to make or break the success of a foreign trade opportunity. The global businesses need to adhere to the demands and perceptions of different cultures in the countries when they purchase different products.

The article focuses on the evolution of the Spanish media discourse which reflects and verbalizes mentality, modeling the world around and creating mentality and culture of the society. The media discourse is formed by proper language tools and by the system of the cognitive and cultural components that are relevant for a particular historical period. The process of updating and expanding of the conceptual sphere of the media discourse happens constantly as a response to the development of society and its institutions, technological progress, emergence of new political, economic and socio-cultural factors. The media discourse is the first to react to these events by creating, capturing and replicating a new vocabulary and new concepts

Cultural differences influence the behavior of companies, including management styles, relationships with employees, stake- and shareholders or social responsibility. Obviously, the concept of corporate governance encompassing the Internal Audit Function (IAF) is seen differently in different cultures. Therefore, conformance with the globally effective “International Professional Practice Framework” (IPPF) for Internal Auditors presuming a culture-free, completely homogeneous IAF with uniform working standards worldwide, seems more than difficult. The focus of this study is to compare the IAF characteristics in China and Germany, based on data from Chief Audit Executives (CAE) from both countries. We identify more (culturally influenced) differences than similarities between the German and Chinese IAF, although there can be found a number of fundamental political, economic and cultural similarities between both countries.

Phraseological units directly or indirectly carry cultural information about the world and pass it from generation to generation, reproduce the national culture and its mentality, show the features of the national figurative way of thinking. A phraseological unit is the soul of each national language, in which the spirit and specificity of the nation are revealed in a unique way. The article deals with the role of English and Ukrainian phraseology as a means of national cultural reflection. It is pointed out that the phraseological units are a means of reflection of national culture and a valuable source of information about the culture and national character of the nation. The specific features of English and Ukrainian phraseology, which are reflected in the pictorial thinking of the nation, have been depicted and the examples of their written interpretation have been given. The linguistic and cultural features of phraseological units in English and Ukrainian which contain such components as: „God” – the object of comparison, „nationality” and „toponym” have been presented and analyzed. It has been proven that toponymical phraseological units detect certain features of verbalization in different cultures and these features are determined by the subjective way of the environmental interpretation. The linguistic and cultural aspects of phraseology in Ukrainian and English have been analyzed only in some cases, taking into account the cultural and literary bases of the idioms origin. This problem can be also studied on the examples of the phraseological units where the culture is reflected through the connection with cultural and national connotations, standards, symbols, stereotypes and associations specific only for one language. English and Ukrainian languages possess a variety of idioms of such type, which need further and thorough investigation

Multicutural is a term used to describe one's view of the variety of life in the world, or cultural policy emphasizing their acceptance of diversity, and a wide range of cultures (multicultural) that exist in society regarding values, system, culture, customs and politics that they profess. The effectiveness of counseling depends on many factors the most important is the relation to each other, and mutual understanding between counselor and client. Cultural differences that exist in this country requires the counselor needs to understand the different cultures that exist. Importance of multicultural for counselors as a form of consciousness that the counselor and client have cultural differences. Multicultural counseling a counseling relationship with the concept that there is a counselor with a client who has a cultural background, values and different lifestyles. Building a good relationship when the counseling process takes place so that the counselor can understand the culture of its clients one of the key attitudes that exist within konsleor is empathy. Counselors who have empathy will be able to understand the way the world through the perspective of the client.

Modern psychiatry must take into account more and more the so called cultural differences in its practice. These differences are not merely the evident cultural aspects of diverse ethnic origin, but also the differences determined by economic, social and cultural reasons.The main paradox of our times is that we try to believe on the ilusion of people homogenicity consequent to the globalization process, when we see that everyone access to the same markets, products, services and news or when we see that everyone can communicate with everyone all over the world. This ilusion is reinforced by the higher cosmopolitism levels of our towns, where we can see people from different ethnic or cultural backgrounds sharing the same space in a reasonable harmonic way.However, this ilusion is covering the intimate aspiration of any person or group to preserve his identity and afirm his own values. In fact we are living in a society that expresses multiethnic, multiculture and multisocial differences in an interdepedent diversity.Hospitals are in a way microsocieties where this paradox emerge or in purely sociologic terms described above, but also by the clinical expression of this diversity.CL-Psychiatry is the field where this subject must be known and researched. This presentation will reviewed the situation.

AbstractBy exploring the cultural discrepancies in Chinese legal texts and their English versions and to what extent legal and cultural discrepancies influence and constrain legal translation, the study argues that it is useful to consider cultural discrepancies within a semiotic framework. Language is a phenomenon and factor that links different cultures; the use of language is crucial to any legal system. Law, as a cultural product, is attended by cultural discrepancies when switched into other languages for the purpose of achieving equivalence. After a brief overview of cultural differences in translation, legal translation in particular, the study is set to examine the role of translation in crossing through different legal cultures and backgrounds and investigate barriers in the process of translation. Investigating cultural discrepancies in legal translation within a semiotic framework allows us to focus on certain interpretations by acknowledging that legal texts are composed with systems of systems and interacting with other cultural aspects in a wider context.

In article various theoretical aspects of an exit of the companies on the foreign markets are considered. Influence of globalization on productivity of the companies is considered, ways and factors of a choice of strategy of an exit to the world market are analysed. The behavioural and cultural aspects influencing strategy of an exit to the world market are analysed. The analysis of strategy of the companies which have entered the foreign markets, is carried out taking into account the previous researches in this area.The following conclusions became result of research: 1) globalization positively influences the companies as the market increases, however the small companies and the companies in emerging markets lose in competitive fight; 2) the companies with considerable experience are inclined to choose strategy of opening of own enterprise while the organizations without similar experience prefer export or joint venture in the host country territory; 3) the strategy choice with a bigger involvement of resources is directly proportional to knowledge of culture of the country to which there is a company. At entry into the market with other culture smooth adaptation is necessary for successful realization of strategy. At last, people are inclined to make behavioural mistakes, and knowledge of them and continuous control will help to achieve successful results; 4) for an exit and successful work in the foreign markets of the company important not only to possess competences, but also to be able to protect them and to keep in time; 5) on the market with high political and investment risks, and also adverse economic conditions of the company are inclined to choose strategy with the minimum investment of money (franchizes, licensing).

Business globalization causes all project managers, sooner or later, to face the challenge of understanding cultural differences. Identifying the risks associated with these differences has become an essential task today when discussing international projects. This paper shows how to improve the management of projects carried out in China by Spanish organizations, identifying risks related to differences between societies. To determine this set of risks, the cultural dimensions of Hofstede and Meyer were analyzed for the case of China and Spain, as well as the most critical values of the World Value Survey between both cultures. From there, and thanks to work done with a focus group formed of 29 Spanish project managers who are experienced in working in projects developed in China, risks were identified and classified into categories considering cultural dimensions. The results obtained show a record of risks of great interest for organizations working in international contexts, mainly in China. They reveal, in addition, the importance of considering this type of risks related to cultural differences, which have rarely been treated before.

For nearly three decades, English has been the lingua franca of cross-border business, yet studies on global language strategies have been scarce. Providing a rare behind-the-scenes look at the high-tech giant Rakuten in the five years following its English mandate, this book explores how language shapes the ways in which employees in global organizations communicate and negotiate linguistic and cultural differences. Drawing on 650 interviews conducted across Rakuten's locations around the world, the book argues that an organization's lingua franca is the catalyst by which all employees become some kind of “expat”—detached from their native tongue or culture. Demonstrating that language can serve as the conduit for an unfamiliar culture, often in unexpected ways, the book uncovers how all organizations might integrate language effectively to tap into the promise of globalization.

The Sri Lankan Ministry of National Coexistence, Dialogue, and Official Languages published the work “People of Sri Lanka” in 2017. In this comprehensive publication, 21 invited Sri Lankan scholars introduced 19 different people’s groups to public readers in English, mainly targeted at a growing number of foreign visitors in need of understanding the cultural diversity Sri Lanka has to offer. This paper will observe the presentation of these different groups of people, the role music and allied arts play in this context. Considering the non-scholarly design of the publication, a discussion of the role of music and allied arts has to be supplemented through additional analyses based on sources mentioned by the 21 participating scholars and their fragmented application of available knowledge. In result, this paper might help improve the way facts about groups of people, the way of grouping people, and the way of presenting these groupings are displayed to the world beyond South Asia. This fieldwork and literature guided investigation should also lead to suggestions for ethical principles in teaching and presenting of culturally different music practices within Sri Lanka, thus adding an example for other case studies.
