In this study, energy center selection of G7 countries is examined. In this context, firstly, the studies in the literature have been evaluated in detail, and seven different criteria have been determined which may affect this selection. Taking these seven different criteria into consideration, G7 countries are ranked by fuzzy MOORA method according to energy center selection performance. According to the results, Japan and Germany are the most successful countries. On the other hand, it was concluded that France and Italy ranked last in terms of energy center selection performance. Hence, especially the countries in the last rankings should be more careful in selecting energy center. In this framework, the customer potential, the training profiles of the customers, the potential of the company with investment demand, the previous payment performance of these companies, and the market risks should be considered by the energy companies while opening new branches.

Modern diagnostics in rowing enables more and more possibilities for recording, and comparing numerous stroke variables. At the same time, many coaches fall into the trap of strict respect for the prescribed norms, ratios, and temporarily results, which the athlete must achieve if he wants to stay in the world of competitive rowing. On the example of the comparison of rowing schools RC "Danubius" and RC "Partizan", descriptive indicators are on the side of RC "Danubius" at a time of 2000m, average force and average power. No significant differences were found in average force (sig = 0,167) between rowers of RC "Danubius" and RC "Partizan", while statistically significant differences were recorded in time at 2000m (sig = 0,036) and power (sig = 0,02) in favor of rowers of RC “Danubius”. On the other hand, a higher correlation of average force (-0,955) and power (-0,928) with time on 2000m was achieved by RC "Partizan" than RC "Danubius" (-0,931) and (-0,896). The correlation between the average force, and the average power within one team shows a higher correlation for RC “Partizan" (0,95) compared to RC "Danubius" (0,755). The obtained results are not enough for single rower or crew elimination from competition to recreational section in the process of too frequent and strict selection of rowers, considering different possible ways of building rowing techniques and numerous parasitic factors that may affect measured variables, specialy at the age under 14 and novice rowers in general.

It is related leg problems to the realization of the necessity of doing a detailed analysis of the phenotype correlations between body weight and exterior measurements. As a result of the study, lower coefficients have been obtained of the correlation between the girth of the tarso metatarsus on one hand, and the body weight and the girth behind the wings, on the other hand (respectively 0.563 and 0.608), compared with the one between the body weight and the girth behind the wings (0.898). It is advisable in the selection of ostriches to take into consideration the necessity of a higher phenotypic correlation between the girth of the tarso metatarsus on the one hand, and the body weight and the girth behind the wings on the other hand, with a view to preventing leg problems.

Abstract

The fable has always had a rhetoric and illustrative function that manifested itself during its long history in two different ways: on one hand, it represented an example in order to teach, which usually implied the moral component, or on the other hand, to criticize. While it strived to achieve one of these intentions, or sometimes both simultaneously, it could have been written in a humorous, mocking, ironic or sarcastic tone. In this paper, we analyze a selection of classical and medieval, 18th and 19th century fables written in Spanish, with definitions proposed by Phaedrus, Rodríguez Adrados and Mireya Camurati as starting points, in order to show that the critical aspect of this genre was openly maintained and taken benefit of even in the historical periods when its didactic and moralizing intention was preferred and strongly emphasized.

Key words: fable, definition of genre, diachronic approach, critical aspect, didactic and moral aspect

4G networks provide bandwidth of up to 1Gbps for a Mobile Node (MN) that is moving at pedestrian speed. On the other hand, it also supports mobile nodes that can move at a speed of 250 km/hr with bandwidths value of 100 Mbps. This sets the premise of a network that supports diverse needs. This goal will be harder to achieve if Network Selection Problems (NSP) are not addressed comprehensively. NSP refers to the selection of target access network selection from a collection of Candidate Networks (CNs) when MNs are moving from one access network into another. The most logical way of achieving this is to select the “best” network. This translates to identifying performance values of the CNs. The analysis in this chapter shows clearly that access network selection done based on limited criteria is detrimental in achieving optimum communication. Instead, this chapter suggests a framework that would be complementary to a 4G network.

This chapter presents the findings of two closely related studies about a selection of premises on which some organization development (OD) practices are based. In the first study, 18 taken-for-granted assumptions have been held against the scientific literature using rapid evidence assessment (REA) as a method. In light of the available evidence, some of these assumptions proved to be untenable. In a second study, practitioners were confronted with these assumptions and fed back the assessments. These studies, combined together, show that practitioners are often not aware of scientific findings relevant to their field. On the other hand, despite all the reseach that has been done and published, the scientific literature often does not provide satisfactory and conclusive answers to the questions practitioners grapple with.

Yield and quality of seed- and vegetatively-propagated rhubarb [Rheum rhabarbarum L.) for annual production were evaluated for 4 seasons. Field planting of transplants or crown divisions in late October or early November resulted in harvests beginning in early to late January and continuing until late April. Selection of `Victoria' seedlings based on petiole color was not effective in increasing the proportion of red mature petioles. Yields from seed-propagated annual `Victoria' rhubarb were always higher than yields from `McDonald' single-bud crown divisions and higher than yields from `McDonald' crown-divisions in one of two years. The four-year average yield for `Victoria' seed-propagated rhubarb was 20.4 Mg·ha-1 whereas `McDonald' crown-division-propagated rhubarb had a two-year average yield of 15.8 Mg·ha-1. On the other hand, petiole color of vegetatively-propagated rhubarb was always superior to that of seed-propagated rhubarb. GA applications increased early yield from `McDonald' single-bud divisions, but reduced early and total harvest petiole weight.

Grundtvig in GreenlandicN. F. S. Grundtvigip Tussiusiai Kalaallisungortitat, Nuuk 1985By Signe MichelsenIn 1985 the Greenland publishers Pilersuiffik (Nuuk/Godth.b) published a selection of Grundtvig’s hymns and songs translated into Greenlandic by the poet Frederik Nielsen. His translations represent a bold and many-sided choice, covering both the hymns and the bible-story songs as well as the fatherland songs. Translating Grundtvig is terribly difficult. Translating Grundtvig into Greenlandic is a noble feat. A language whose structure is completely different from Danish: a poly-synthetic language whose words consist of so many elements (stems and affixes) that a single word can constitute a whole sentence sequence. The background to Frederik Nielsen’s translations of Grundtvig is his own inspiration from youth. Nielsen was born in 1905 and has been a significant poet in Greenland as well as an educationist and a politician. From 1956-67 he was head of the Greenland Radio. He was the first Greenlander to graduate from a Danish college of education (T.nder), and during his time at college he lived with a family strongly influenced by Grundtvig. The decisive moment came when he took part in a grundtvigian meeting in 1927, where for the first time he heard the hymn: All Creatures that were Given Wings (Alt, hvad som fuglevinger fik). He writes of the experience in his memoirs: “That was when I had the conviction that grundtvigian Christianity was the form of Christianity and the Christian way of life that best agreed with me.” In 1934 on the recommendation of Knud Rasmussen, he had had his novel Tuumarse (Thomas) published in Greenlandic. He himself translated it into Danish in 1980. He has since written a number of novels and poems, some of the latter having been translated into Danish. He is still a productive writer and has also sought to inspire his compatriots as a translator, among other things of a selection of Danish poems from 1980.As examples of his Grundtvig translations two are singled out here: All Creatures that were Given Wings and O , Christian Lot! (O, Christelighed). They are published in a retro-translation to Danish, but the original texts to the hymns in question are printed in Greenlandic. It is clear that there are ideas and concepts in Grundtvig that are impossible to translate. On the other hand the Greenlandic language enforces a greater simplicity than in Grundtvig. This can actually lead to very beautiful passages, as in the two last stanzas of O , Christian Lot!. They contain the essentials and express them with spontaneity and intensity. The Greenlandic poet, Kristian Olsen, reviewing Frederik Nielsen’s hymn translations, writes: “Having read them through Grundtvig’s many word-pictures, he has somehow imbued them with Grundtvig’s spirit.”

According to Islamic Jurisprudence, one of the most important requirements for a sound marriage is the total agreement of the woman under the guardianship of her father or any other mahram relative. In case of none, the ruler or the judge assume to be a guardian or Wali of a woman. A guardian or Wali is responsible for the selection of the righteous person for the woman and assures the protection and welfare of her Rights and interests. He has the authority to reject and refuse the proposal if the suitor did not deem a sound and sincere match. A marriage without a guardian is considered unlawful, as there is no concept of love affairs and courtship without a guardian in Islam. The guardian evaluates the religious, social and economic compatibility of the couple, while on the other hand a woman selects the spouse on physical attraction and romantic notion which vanishes out soon as the real life starts causing potential problems in relationship. That why Islam lays down principle and law of wilayat for a lady to protect her interests and rights and consider to be a shield and safeguard for her welfare in future marital life.

The presented selection of correspondence constitutes an interesting source concerning the relationship between publishers and authors within the area of Poland and partitioned Polish lands in the 19th century. This shows how complicated this relationship was and how a publishing office worked, including the issues of selection of paper, fonts or covers. On the other hand, it reveals formal difficulties related to issuing and printing books (among others, censorship, customs frontiers and currencies). The selection of letters dates back to 1870-1871. The presented correspondence is a part of handwritten legacy of J.I. Kraszewski, which can be currently found in the Jagiellonian Library.
