User satisfaction is considered an important aspect of information system success. The objective of this article is to present a literature review on the usefulness and importance of user satisfaction as a measure of the effectiveness of information systems in modern Information Society. At the same time, the article follows the evolution of user satisfaction models, to study the research efforts in light of its multidimensional nature. Towards this direction, several widely accepted user satisfaction models are considered and compared. As a result, it turns out that the most adequate model for the measurement of user satisfaction is the 3Q model. This model focuses on the system, information and service quality aspects of an information system and highlights the causal relationships among them in order to study user satisfaction. Moreover, the article investigates the functional applicability and assessment of the fundamental user satisfaction models in the e-commerce and e-governance domains.

Abstract Background The Health Information System (HIS) is a set of computerized tools for the collection, storage, management, and transmission of health data. The role of such tools in supporting the modernization of health systems, improving access to quality healthcare, and reducing costs in developing countries is unquestionable, but their implementation faces several challenges. In Gabon, a unique national electronic HIS has been launched. It will connect healthcare institutions and providers at all levels in the whole country. Objective This study aims to explore and identify the factors influencing healthcare providers’ perceptions of the national electronic HIS in Gabon. Methods A 44-item questionnaire based on the Information System Success Model (ISSM) was administered between February and April 2018 among 2,600 healthcare providers across the country. The questions assessed the different aspects of the HIS that could influence its perceived impact on a 5-level Likert scale (from fully agree to totally disagree). The reliability and construct validity of the questionnaire were checked using Cronbach alpha and congeneric reliability coefficients. A logistic regression was used to identify the factors influencing healthcare providers’ perceptions of the system. Results A total of 2,327 questionnaires were completed (i.e. 89.5% response rate). The logistic regression identified five elements that significantly influenced perceived system impact: System Quality (Odds Ratio–OR=1.70), Information Quality (OR=1.69), Actual Use (OR=1.41), Support Quality (OR=1.37), and Useful Functions (OR=1.14). The model explained 30% of the variance in providers’ perception that the national HIS leads to positive impacts. Discussion The results show that healthcare providers’ perceptions regarding the positive impact of the national HIS in Gabon are influenced by their previous use of an HIS, the scope of their usage, and the quality of the system, information, and support provided to users. These results could inform the development of strategies to ensure adequate change of management and user experience for the implementation of the national HIS in Gabon, and eventually in other low resource environments. Both businesses and consumers have experienced significant changes as a result of the rise of m-commerce. The benefits of using a new system are perceived by users depending on their assessment of the system, information, and service quality. In one of the cities in the Cavite area, the researcher wants to assess the influence of information system success in customer behavior in mobile payments in m-commerce. This study consisted of 405 respondents and used purposive and quota sampling with a descriptive quantitative design and a survey questionnaire as the instrument. Analysis of variance, multivariate analysis of variance, and independent-sample t-test was considered as statistical techniques that will help determine consumer behavior in the use of mobile payment in m-commerce. This study's findings have numerous key implications for the usage of mobile payments in m-commerce research.

Information system success (ISS) has received considerable attention from researchers as it plays an important role in improving the efficiency and productivity of an organization. Several researchers have conducted empirical studies using numerous factors (e.g. organizational, technological, and individual factors) which affect the information system success. However, there are several factors which are related to interpersonal conflict which may affect information system success. The interpersonal conflict is a critical dimension which can greatly influence information system success in a competitive environment such as the financial sector. Therefore, this study introduces a framework to investigate the influence of interpersonal conflict factors on information system success in the Ministry of Finance, Yemen. The study employed a quantitative method which consists of the following steps: survey design, data collection and data analysis. A sample size comprising 130 employees were distributed in the Ministry of Finance, Yemen. Questionnaires were used to collect data from this sample. Data analysis (reliability, validity, correlation and factor analysis) has been carried out using SPSS.  In addition, structural equation modelling (SEM) has been used for evaluation the research model. Based on the experimental results, the findings in this study revealed that the interpersonal factors (interference, disagreement and instability) significantly negatively (at 0.05 level of significance) influence user satisfaction of information system success.

PurposeThis study aims to examine the factors influencing undergraduates' intention to use university digital libraries by integrating the information system success model and affinity theory.Design/methodology/approachBased on the 265 valid responses gathered through a survey, the structural equation modelling (SEM) technique was employed to test the research model and hypotheses.FindingsThe results indicated that system quality and digital libraries (DLs)' affinity significantly affect undergraduates' user satisfaction. However, information quality and service quality does not. User satisfaction has significant impact on undergraduates' intention to use university digital libraries.Practical implicationsLibrarians and service providers should focus on enhancing the system quality of digital library and DLs' affinity, to improve the undergraduates' user satisfaction, further motivating undergraduates to use university digital libraries.Originality/valueThe information system success model is enriched by affinity as an additional construct.
