Abstract:: Surgery to repair damaged tissue, which is caused by disease or trauma, is being carried out all the time, and a desirable treatment is compelling need to regenerate damaged tissues to further improve the quality of human health. Therefore, more and more research focus on exploring the most suitable bionic design to enrich available treatment methods. 3D-printing, as an advanced materials processing approach, holds promising potential to create prototypes with complex constructs that could reproduce primitive tissues and organs as much as possible or provide appropriate cell-material interfaces. In a sense, 3D printing promises to bridge between tissue engineering and bionic design, which can provide an unprecedented personalized recapitulation with biomimetic function under the precise control of the composition and spatial distribution of cells and biomaterials. This article describes recent progress in 3D bionic design and the potential application prospect of 3D printing regenerative medicine including 3D printing biomimetic scaffolds and 3D cell printing in tissue engineering.

The heat input during conventional arc welding processes can be readily calculated knowing the power taken from the power source. The efficiency coefficient can be taken from the appropriate literature standards. Here, the intention of the performed research work was to develop a procedure for determination of heat input in arc and laser welding processes implementing Adams equation - modified Rykalin equation for two dimensional heat distributions (2-D). To realize this idea, it is necessary to determine two characteristic temperatures points in the HAZ with known peak temperature, and to determine distance between them. Implementing measured values for distance in Adams’ equation, heat input in arc welding can be directly determined in arc welded joints. In laser beam welding, the absorption of the beam in the metal is not known, so that the welding heat input cannot be calculated directly, and direct implementation of Adam’s equation is not possible i.e. absorption coefficient has to be determined first, and after that calculation of heat input is possible. The peak temperatures corresponding to specific microstructures can be obtained by performing welding simulation, by the Gleeble 1500 simulator in our case. As one of the peak temperatures, the melting temperature can be used corresponding to the fusion line, so that at least one characteristic peak temperature such as coarse grain zone, fine grin zone, intercritical zone, recrystallization, has to be determined by the simulation.Performed research showed that obtained values for heat input using Adam’s equation correspond pretty well with standard equation for heat input in arc welding.

Abstract This paper presents the effect of additives on the quality of a product created by 3D print. The product is created by the most widely used 3D printing method - Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM). Polylactic acid (PLA) filaments are tested without and with the addition of carbon fibers or copper. The specimens are characterized by different methods, such as mechanical testing, measuring roughness by digital microscope with a large depth of field and thermal analysis. In fact, FDM is a problematic process with numerous criterions that affect printing quality. Printing parameters such as print temperature, pad temperature, print speed for 3D printing, printing orientation etc. have an important impact on the performance and quality of FDM components. Due to the correct parameters, the product of the required quality with a longer service life is obtained. The results of testing show that the quantity and choice of the right ingredient has a major impact on the mechanical properties and overall quality of the investigated product.

Big Data, the Internet of Things, and robotic and augmented realities are just some of the technologies that belong to Industry 4.0. These technologies improve working conditions and increase productivity and the quality of industry production. However, they can also improve life and society as a whole. A new perspective is oriented towards social well-being and it is called Society 5.0. Industry 4.0 supports the transition to the new society, but other drivers are also needed. To guide the transition, it is necessary to identify the enabling factors that integrate Industry 4.0. A conceptual framework was developed in which these factors were identified through a literature review and the analytical hierarchy process (AHP) methodology. Furthermore, the way in which they relate was evaluated with the help of the interpretive structural modeling (ISM) methodology. The proposed framework fills a research gap, which has not yet consolidated a strategy that includes all aspects of Society 5.0. As a result, the main driver, in addition to technology, is international politics.

Speckle, which is a branch of optics that studies the interference pattern caused by the incidence of coherent light in a material’s surface, has some optical techniques and methods that can be successfully applied to determine properties of materials. In this work we used the method called THSP, Time History Speckle Pattern, in samples made of AISI 1020 carbon steel that were submitted to the shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) process, with the objective of identifying (qualitatively) the level of irregularity on its welded surface, by comparing these samples with a default sample, made with the same material. The technique of spekle by reflection was used for data collection. The results showed quantitative diferences between the default welded sample and the other samples, and there are good perspectives that speckle can be applied to determine the quality of the welding process, since the results showed more accuracy than visual inspection.

At a time of economic instability in the country, actions that minimize expenditures and increase productivity in civil construction aimed at the sustainable development of the means of production are increasingly being requested. In order to make a diagnosis of the layout, organization and practices in the construction sites of the Crajubar region, ten constructions were studied in the region. The sample selected included horizontal and vertical buildings, for commercial, residential and mixed use. The data were obtained from the diagnostic method, which consists of the application of a standardized checklist, which included three groups to be analyzed: temporary installations, handling and storage of materials. Along with this list, a photographic record of predetermined items was made for the visualization and identification of defects in the construction. From the information collected, the group notes and a global grade (the arithmetic mean of the group notes) were assigned and the works were distributed into four categories: great, good, regular and bad. The horizontal construction obtained the worse notes, between 4.01 and 6, while the vertical construction that presented policies of quality management stood out with the best notes, between 8,01 and 10. The type of construction was the factor that most influenced the quality of the construction sites evaluated in Crajubar cearense.
