BIM is a kind of multidimensional model information technology based on CAD which has been applied in some large projects at home and abroad. The technology of BIM has the characteristics of 3D visualization, virtual design and collaborative design and so on. In this paper, ideas about applying BIM Technology in granary projects have been put forward from the design stage, project implementation stage and the stage of cost control by taking a big diameter underground silo of reinforced concrete for example, simulating the architecture, structure, process of construction and process of grain flowing of underground silos, then creating the model of architecture, dynamic construction model of 4D. The article provides a new approach of applying BIM technology to granary facilities.

In recent years, designing in existing environments has been consistently emphasized in community planning. However, practicing such on-site design is not easy for designers, because the current technical conditions do not allow virtual design objects into real environments for 3D visualization and interaction. Thus, designers’ intuitive design perceptions, accurate design judgments, and convenient design decisions are hardly supported. This paper explores the possibilities of using mixed reality (MR) technology to improve designers’ on-site design experiences in community planning. For this, we introduced an MR design support system (MR-DSS) for the interactive on-site 3D visualization of virtual design objects. With the MR-DSS, we performed a design experiment with sixteen participants in a typical on-site design scene of community planning. The results showed that the MR technology could provide designers with intuitive design perceptions, accurate design judgments, and convenient design decisions, thus effectively improving their on-site design experiences.

<p class="1Body">This paper was investigating the buckling problem of reinforced concrete columns considering the reinforced concrete as bi – modular material. Governing differential equations was driven. The relation between the non-dimensional transverse deflection and non-dimensional distance between centroid axis and the neutral axis "eccentricity" was drawn to enable the solution of the governing differential equation. The new approach was verified with different experimental results and different codes of practice.<strong></strong></p>

In this paper, a design-stage failure identification framework is proposed using a modeling and simulation approach based on Dimensional Analysis and qualitative physics. The proposed framework is intended to provide a new approach to model the behavior in the Functional-Failure Identification and Propagation (FFIP) framework, which estimates potential faults and their propagation paths under critical event scenarios. The initial FFIP framework is based on combining hierarchical system models of functionality and configuration, with behavioral simulation and qualitative reasoning. This paper proposes to develop a behavioral model derived from information available at the configuration level. Specifically, the new behavioral model uses design variables, which are associated with units and quantities (i.e., Mass, Length, Time, etc…). The proposed framework continues the work to allow the analysis of functional failures and fault propagation at a highly abstract system concept level before any potentially high-cost design commitments are made. The main contribution in this paper consists of developing component behavioral models based on the combination of fundamental design variables used to describe components and their units or quantities, more precisely describing components’ behavior.

In today’s world the design of multiple mailboxes comes to cover the evolution of logistics in delivering mail where the postman is not required to visit every user. In this research the 3D visualization is used for the design of multiple mailboxes for domestic use. It concerns the design of mailboxes in ergonomic building blocks and apartment complexes in 3D design so that they can be easily manufactured. Between the advantages of this design will be rapid production of ready-made products production of prototypes that enables testing at the design stage and reduces the time and the cost of production. The design when done with 3D CAD can be manufactured with modern machine tooling methods. In this paper after an extensive Literature Review the postal multiple mailboxes is used as a case study in the use of 3D CAD for 3D printing. A methodology is proposed that enables the examination of prototypes at the design stage according to specifications and allows the manufacturing department of a company to prepare the right tools and begin installing production lines. Conclusively this method gives the advantage of designing the product and supporting the production of scaffolds that can be functionally and ergonomically tested before finalizing the production.

A new approach to a circuit implementation design of quantum algorithm gates for quantum massive parallel fast computing realization is presented. The main attention is focused on the development of design method of fast quantum algorithm operators as superposition, entanglement and interference which are in general time-consuming operations due to the number of products that have to be performed. SW & HW support sophisticated toolkit of supercomputing accelerator of quantum algorithm simulation is described. As example, the method for performing Grover’s interference without product operations introduced. The background of developed information technology is the "Quantum / Soft Computing Optimizer" (QSCOptKBTM) software based on soft and quantum computational intelligence toolkit.

Abstract Rapid shape creation and visualization of solid models remains a tedious task despite advances in the field of Computer Aided Design (CAD)/Solid Modeling. CAD systems require a significant level of detail, such as vertices, edges, and faces to be specified by the user, even before the simplest of shapes can be created and viewed. In addition, most CAD systems have an essentially 2D interface for designing artifacts. This makes artifact visualization, for example by interactive rotation, difficult since all manipulations have be achieved by 2D translation of the mouse or by typing in the required angles of rotation. The limited visualization capability and the requirement to create shapes through the specification of low level entities is especially cumbersome in the concept shape design stage. This paper describes the Conceptual Virtual Design System, COVIRDS, a tool for product concept design. COVIRDS provides an intuitive voice and hand input-based interface for modeling of products using a ‘construction’ approach. Product shape models are created by ‘attaching’ simpler parametrically defined ‘Shape Elements’ to other elements to create more complex models. Voice commands are used to instantiate shape elements and change their parameters, for example, the width, length and height of a block element. 3D hand input is used for positioning shape elements during element attachment. The voice and hand input-based interface together with a stereoscopic visual display facilitates rapid creation and visualization of concept shape models.

The usage of computer software in civil engineering has expanded in last decades. Many general-purpose and special-purpose commercial programs perform a very important function, especially at the design stage. In this study, a computer program is introduced for the analysis and design of the axial symmetric cylindrical wall considering the dome effects. Analysis processes are carried out according to Flexibility theory with long wall assumption and during the reinforced concrete (RC) design of the wall, ACI 318-Building code requirements for structural concrete are considered. In numerical investigation, the effects of the dome properties (thickness and height) on the analysis and design of the wall are investigated by performing a totally 72 case analyzes. These cases include different support condition at bottom of the wall, wall heights, dome thicknesses and heights. According to analysis results, it is concluded that effects of dome thickness and heights on the wall on the wall are very limited.
