At the turn of the millennia, the politically unbiased analytical thought of the world describes the total humanitarian entropy, which has unsafely plunged the theory and practice of art into a deep crisis. Accordingly, academic scientists, and primarily philosophers and culturologists, as well as art historians who have not lost their independent critical thinking ability, are consolidating into an ever-increasing front of those analysts who resist the current situation, because they tend to see behind the superficial statistics of a sharply increasing number of glossy magazines, exhibition reviews and other printed materials, including circulations of ordinary booklets that massively accompany any art projects of all kinds of galleries or public art actions, which go to significant investment funds from private foundations and centers — the premature death of art criticism, which, in the figurative expression of James Elkins, has become “like a trackless thicket, tangled with with unanswered questions”. Artistic practitioners, accustomed to servile survival in the conditions of the global art market, which imposes the rules for the production of a creative product solely in their own interests, are in a state of crisis no less severe than criticism. Manipulative interpretations of the concept of publicity, as well as the orientation of public art towards the function of socio-political and socio-educational regulatory action, like a mediator between society and power, legitimizes and strongly supports the phenomenology of things. Without a transcendental goal, the reification of the community’sthinking leads to a slide of creative consciousness and formal vocabulary of art expression to the level of kitsch, which was sharply criticized back in 1939 by Clement Greenberg. The fetishization of an art object as a commodity contributes to the steady cultivation of an instrumentalized consciousness by artists. Public visual practices, formally inheriting the idea of dissolving in the stream of everyday life, first proclaimed by the historical avant-garde, actually dissolve in consumerism, turning art objects into objectified political and sociocultural invectives, or, according to D. Lukacs’ terminology, such invectives that have undergone the process of reification. Meanwhile, visual public projects also actively use conceptualized clichés in the form of neutral abstract design objects, where the dominant criterion of conformity to the spirit of the times as quasi-modernity is the uncommonness of an innovative solution to lexical expression. The phenomenology of a thing legitimizes any experimentation, but it is not able to overcome the deepening crisis of theory and practice, drawing the cultural and artistic existence of society into a prolonged state of hysteresis. Analysts see the only way out of this situation in the return to the culture of the theory and practice of the traditions of Kantian-Hegelian philosophy, and in particular the postulates of transcendental aesthetics.

Abstract Polylactic acid (PLA) is derived from natural aliphatic polyester resources for instance sugarcane or starch based plants. PLA also known as a biocompatible and biodegradable thermoplastic and found widely in multiple applications like electronic and electrical devices, biomedical, food packaging and the engineering field. PLA have attracted attention in production potential due to its superior attributes like ease of processing, high strength and high modulus. Infill density, raster angle and infill pattern can influence the mechanical characteristics of materials like PLA, acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS), polyetheretherketone (PEEK). In this paper, the relationship between infill density and raster angle was studied to investigate the mechanical performances of PLA by using 3D printers. 3D printing is used to fabricate more complex 3D design objects. The tensile test was involved to evaluate the properties of pure PLA. For pure PLA, 0° raster angles with 100% infill density show the highest tensile strength and Young’s modulus which are 28.926MPa and 1262.7MPa respectively. However, a decreasing trend of break elongation reveals in PLA as infill density increases for both 0° and 90° raster angle. Optimization of printing parameters become crucial to provide high quality materials for 3D printing in order for education, packaging, engineering and biomedical applications.

The development of information and communication technologies has determined their spreading in the design of the visual information environment of human activity. This was the main reason for this research — the search for the starting points of the communicative design in Galicia as the phenomenon of artistic-project culture and examining it. The methodological basis of the paper includes interdisciplinary and system approaches in solving the assigned tasks. The comparative historical analysis and the culturological method has been used to analyze socio-cultural processes in Galicia. This paper analyzes the historical and socio-cultural preconditions for the formation and development of design in Galicia. This paper observed that public organizations, industrial committees, associations, educational and cultural societies have a salience role in improving the design of industrial products. The graphic design of printing products, advertising style, photo, and film productions models the communication characteristics and identity of the graphic design objects. The result of the probability of design in Galicia was obvious due to the activity of artists, whose graphic design works created harmonious communicative encirclement of human activity. The complexity of the language of European aesthetics and the sources of national creativity of the Galician masters constituted the paradigmatic basis of communication design. An integral communicative and multifaceted process in the context of socio-cultural transformation consolidated the phenomenon of formation and development of design in Galicia..

Objective: The issue of improving the educational process of training design engineers for mechanical engineering is considered on the basis of the “World Declaration on Higher Education for the 21st cen- tury: Approaches and Practical Measures”, which recommended the use of interdisciplinarity and trans- disciplinarity, the conceptualization of design is also touched upon. Improving the quality of training of specialists requires turning to modern methods of building the educational process. The need to take into account the complex relationships in which design objects exist leads to the need to introduce interdis- ciplinary and transdisciplinary approaches. Methods: Interdisciplinarity complements the content of in- dividual disciplines based on a unified methodology. Transdisciplinarity consists in the assessment of a particular phenomenon outside the framework of any particular scientific discipline, which contributes to the completeness of the world perception. Results: The proposed approaches to education contribute to the consolidation of the acquired knowledge or, as they say in the professional environment, increase the “retained knowledge”, widen students’ scientific worldview. Practical importance: The approaches considered are used in the educational process at the Department of Hoisting-and-Transport, Track and Construction Machines of Petersburg State Transport University. The following disciplines are already based on interdisciplinarity: “Basicss of Scientific Research” and “Design of Hoisting-and-Transport, Construction, Road Means and Equipment”. Methodologically, they are organized in such a way that the basicss of scientific research are considered in the context of designing, and designing – in the context of scientific research. With a transdisciplinary approach, the tasks of conceptualizing machine design objects and the design methodology itself are solved

Most legal orders establish several forms of design protection that are not mutually exclusive. At the same time, the intersection of legal regimes gives rise to a number of practical and doctrinal problems related to the determination of the scope of the author’s and rightholder’s rights, the unfair behavior of participants in civil transactions, and the erosion of the institutional purpose of intellectual property objects. The main task of the study is to draw a meaningful border between the two forms of protection of industrial design objects. The paper elucidates the basic concepts of understanding an industrial design, the functions and features of the activity under consideration, the relationship with the category of "art," examines the formation and development of legal thought about the relationship between copyright and patent forms of protection of the results of artistic design. It is concluded that it is necessary to make proposals and recommendations to eliminate unfair practices in the exercise of the right to protect the results of creative activity under consideration.

Green contemporary art conservation cleaning methods are explored as sustainable museum practices, ensuring the conservator’s health and reducing the environmental impact. The performance of selected biodegradable cleaning agents, namely deionised (DI) water, a chelate based on trisodium salt of methylglycinediacetic acid (MGDA), Trilon® M, a non-ionic surfactant based on alkoxylated fatty alcohols (Plurafac® LF900), and two solvents, limonene and ethyl lactate, was evaluated for the surface cleaning of polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA), polylactic acid (PLA), polypropylene (PP), and plasticized polyvinyl chloride (pPVC). Plastic mockups were used untreated or artificially soiled, simulating particulate matter or sebum stains produced by handling. Furthermore, the efficacy of ink removal from the plastic’s surface was evaluated. Surface examination was carried out using optical microscopy (OM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and atomic force microscopy (AFM), while μ-Raman and gloss measurements complemented the cleaning assessment methodology. The cleaning agents’ potency depends on the type of plastic, precluding a general cleaning protocol. However, their cleaning efficacy is very promising, enriching the available choices for the cleaning of plastics, using sustainable materials and practices. This study offers valuable information to the conservation field regarding the effects of the selected biodegradable cleaning agents on each type of plastic, their application method, and their cleaning efficacy for the removal of different types of soil and ink.

Synthesis of the engineering design decisions is considered. The fixtures for locating and clamping parts to be tooled at the manufacturing operations are the design objects. An approach to topology and parametric design are proposed. Most efficiently these tasks are solved at the function level. Finally, geometry models and design drawings are needed for manufacturing. Fixture action is to mate bases of fixture object with function faces of fixture locators. This is constraining the degrees of freedom of object. Every base constrains certain degree of freedom. In accordance with quantity and quality of that degrees, certain locators are appointed to the base and them must be positioned resulting in the a locating chart. The quality of the locating chart may be evaluated by the several criteria, for example, by it dimensions. Unsatisfactory solution may be followed by redistributing degrees of freedom among the bases or editing positions of locators within the bases. Thus the design is decomposed onto two independent tasks of different levels.
