Shale gas exploration and development in alleviating energy supply pressure, and low carbon economy development and adjusting and optimizing the energy structure has the effect which cannot ignore. As the north American shale gas exploration and development of the huge success, the domestic study of shale gas is also rapidly developed. So to understand shale gas geology difference at home and abroad, from accumulation mechanism, geological characteristics, the exploration method of shale gas geological theory has carried on the summary and analysis of the system. Contrast the research progress of north American shale gas, and the problems existing in the analysis in the study of shale gas in China, to select the most conducive to China's shale gas exploration and development methods. In this way it can make the success of shale gas development in China become a reality as early as possible.

Low carbon economy makes effect on employment. It shows that low carbon is not only a kind of life philosophy. With the development of new energy technology, it has risen to national economic strategy, and may become a new economic growth point. At the same time, the adjustment of energy structure, not only benefits to the sustainable development road of economic development to" green" , and also brings in new hope for improving the current employment situation. The employment situation of college graduates is an important index of social inspection and evaluation of the quality of running a school; it is one of the core competitiveness of schools. Graduate employment status relates to the school reputation directly. This paper studies that how colleges and universities do the employment work of graduates.

Under the background of China’s energy structure optimization, environmental protection, energy conservation, and rising pressure of emission reduction, geothermal, as a potential strategic replacement energy, has ushered in new opportunities and challenges. This paper systematically summarizes the domestic achievements in the exploration and development of geothermal resources, analyzes the endowment, distribution, and accumulation mechanism of geothermal resources in China, and points out the main problems existing in the exploration and development of geothermal resources in China. On this basis, it looks forward to China’s urgent geothermal exploration and development work and key technologies to be urgently developed, providing important guidance for China’s geothermal science and technology innovation and rapid industrialization development.

This paper, using literature analysis, explores the development of low-carbon pilot cities in China and its research progress, including the enrichment of the connotations of low carbon and low-carbon city, the progress in building China’s low-carbon cities, the relevant research by Chinese and foreign scholars and its trends. The result shows that for the construction of low-carbon cities in China, domestic and foreign scholars have conducted in-depth research on the connotations of low-carbon economy and low-carbon city, low-carbon index, carbon discharges peak value, technological approaches, energy utilization, low-carbon society, policy instruments and evaluating system, but the research is still subject to several limitations. For example, judging from the evaluation system of low-carbon cities, the research assigned small weights to the non-technical indexes such as low-carbon policies, governance mechanism and performance appraisal system. Judging from the spatial scale of case studies, the studies on the relatively developed cities in eastern China outnumber those on the cities in western China, especially in the minority areas. In terms of the factors influencing the construction of low-carbon cities, inadequate attention has been paid to the related psychological factors, in particular those of ethnic minorities.

Smart grid could meet the electricity demand against the rapid development of economy and society. The idea to implement smart grid is fully in accordance with the energy developing strategy and it will exert far-reaching impact on the adjustment of energy structure, the sustainable development of society as well as low-carbon economy. Currently, smart grid has attracted wide attention around the world and major countries in the world have been carrying out related researches. This paper describes the background and basic concepts of the smart grid, and takes the United States, European Union and China for example to introduce the development characteristics and typical projects. Besides, this paper analyzes and compares the smart grid in U.S., E.U. and China and gives related suggestions on the key issues of the development of smart grid in China.

Global climate change has become one of the core issues of world governance. Many countries have put forward the goal of carbon neutrality one after another, leading to the intensification of international low-carbon economy competition. To assess the current low-carbon competitiveness among countries, this article constructs an evaluation index system of international low-carbon economy development, and obtains the scores and rankings of countries in energy, society, economy and environment, as well as overall. Taking 20 countries with the highest carbon emissions in the world in 2019 as samples, starting from the concept of low-carbon economy and five evaluation principles, this article selects 40 low-carbon evaluation indicators from five aspects, including economy, society, science and technology, environment, and energy structure. By using the principal component factor analysis method to calculate and test, the four factors, energy factor, society factor, economy factor, and environment factor, are finally extracted to construct the evaluation index system. Results show that South Korea, France, China, Canada, and Germany are among the world’s top five low-carbon economies. The overall competitiveness of China’s low-carbon economy is in a relatively favorable position (3rd overall), with the most outstanding performance in terms of economic strength (1st), but poor performance in terms of social development (9th) and environmental carrying capacity (9th), and the biggest disadvantage in terms of energy structure (13th).

Coal is the primary source of energy in China’s energy structure system. With the large-scale mining of mineral resources, a large amount of mine water will be produced in the process of development, construction, and production, which will pollute and damage the ecological environment of mine water. At present, China vigorously advocates coal revolution, implements low-carbon economy, and carries out clean production of energy development and utilization. Green mining, precision mining, and other strategic ideas have been applied to mine development to guide production practice. This paper does an in-depth analysis of the physical, chemical, biological, and environmental characteristics of mine water, puts forward the basic classification of mine water, and points out the characteristics of environmental hazards of mine water. Aiming at different types of mine water, such as mine wastewater, drainage water, goaf water, mine water with suspended solids, high salinity mine water, acid mine water, and mine water with special pollution, the paper puts forward the mine water treatment and resource utilization technology with different characteristics and strong pertinence. On this basis, the comprehensive treatment and development direction of mine water in the future are prospected.

The “driver–pressure–state–impact–response” (DPSIR) model has recently become a popular approach to deal with environmental problems. The combination of DPSIR with analytic hierarchy process (AHP) is a useful method to study low-carbon evaluation because the AHP model has a special advantage in multi-indexes evaluation. This paper constructs the low-carbon economy evaluation system and comprehensively evaluates the numerical value of low-carbon economic development of China’s 30 regions from 2000 to 2015 by using the AHP method. It shows that the numerical value of low-carbon economy of China’s 30 regions varies in terms of growth rate. The numerical value of east regional low-carbon economy shows a pattern that is gradually higher than that of the west region. The numerical value of low carbon economic development in the south region is higher than that of the north region by degrees. In addition, based on the model of coordination degree in 2015, the result indicated that the four subsystems have primary coordination in the east area and bare coordination in the central and west areas. It is indicated that the four sub-indexes should be developed at the same pace and promoting the development of a low-carbon economy in the mid-west areas is the key in China. Finally, we proposed that environmental regulations and policies should be formulated to improve coordination in various aspects and various departments. Calculating the degree of low-carbon economic coupling coordination may be helpful for policy makers to formulate effective policies and take actions in the future.
