The paper designs the models of double-tube BRBs with contact rings by applying the existing general materials and carries out an experimental research on static properties, exploring on its bearing performance under the condition of unidirectional loading and the relationship between the bearing performance and the stiffness of outer-tube, clearance and slenderness ratio of inner-tube, so as to provide references for the engineering application of double-tube BRBs with contact rings.

This paper describes the experimental results of the relationship between grinding wheel topography and grinding chatter and surface waveness on the precise surface grinding machine. The inner relationship between the grinding chatter and grinding surface waveness has been analyzed. The experimental research results show that the grinding depth is a main factor which affects grinding chatter and grinding surface waveness on the grinding surface. Thus a further exploration has been made in the formative mechanism of grinding chatter and grinding surface waveness.

Concrete cover thinkness of GFRP to ensure the safety, applicability and durability of the structure is of great significance. Based on studies to 30 the drawing specimens of concrete ,get bond strength of same GFRP diameter, same concrete strength, different concrete cover thinkness. Through the analysis of test data,it is concluded the relationship of the bond strength and the concrete cover thinkness. And basis on the relationship,it is determine the suggestive values on concrete cover thinkness of GFRP.Experimental data and suggestion can provide reference and theoretical basis for the GFRP engineering application and the establishment of the relevant specification.

Experimental research on the relationship between rubber open mill mixing process parameters of roller pitch, roller speed and roller speed ratio changes and mix quality. The results show that the process parameters changes in open mill mixing process have significant effects on mixing quality and efficiency. And get the best process parameters optimization in open mill mixing process: the best changes trend of roller pitch, roller speed and roller speed ratio are from small to big, from small to big and from big to small.

We review advances in the experimental study of the mass-count distinction and highlight problems that have emerged. First, we lay out what we see to be the scientific enterprise of studying the syntax and semantics of mass-count distinction, and the assumptions we believe must be made if additional progress is to occur, especially as the empirical facts continue to grow in number and complexity. Second, we discuss the new landscape of cross-linguistic results that has been created by widespread use of the quantity judgment task, and what these results tell us about the nature of the mass-count distinction. Finally, we discuss the relationship between the mass-count distinction and non-linguistic cognition, and in particular the object-substance distinction.

ABSTRACT Whistleblowing reports, if properly investigated, facilitate the early detection of fraud. Although critical, investigation-related decisions represent a relatively underexplored component of the whistleblowing process. Investigators are responsible for initially deciding whether to follow-up on reports alleging fraud. We report the results of an experimental study examining the follow-up intentions of highly experienced healthcare investigators. Participants, in the role of an insurance investigator, are asked to review a whistleblowing report alleging billing fraud occurring at a medical provider. Thus, participants are serving as external investigators. In a between-participant design, we manipulate the report type and whether the caller previously confronted the wrongdoer. We find that compared to an anonymous report, a non-anonymous report is perceived as more credible and follow-up intentions stronger. We also find that perceived credibility fully mediates the relationship between report type and follow-up intentions. Previous confrontation is not significantly associated with either perceived credibility or follow-up intentions. Data Availability: Data are available upon request.

The double C steel section is made of two C steels with gusset plate through bolts. A ridge joint of double C steel is studied through experiment under cyclic loading in this paper. Through the four specimens with different gusset-plate’s thickness and bolt spacing, we analyze the effect of the gusset-plate’s thickness and bolt spacing on stiffness, ductility and energy performance. At last we recommend the suitable gusset-plate’s thickness. The results can give a reference to the engineering application of cold-formed steel structure.
