Influence of Multilayer Number to Magneto-Impedance Ratio in Electrodeposited [NiFe/Cu]N Multilayer

Magneto-impedance ratio of the multilayer [NiFe/Cu)]N study by the number of multilayer. The both sample films of NiFe and Cu are fabricated by electrodeposition methods on a Cu-patterned substrate. The characteristic of magneto-impedance (MI) is performed at room temperature. Magneto-impedance are modified by varying N times (2, 4, 6 and 8) and the measurements frequency. The result show that the typical symetry of the magneto-impedance curve. Then the magneto-impedance (MI) ratio increases with the increase of frequency and N number layers. The increase of the magnetic permeability should address the increase of the MI ratio. Finally, the highest magneto-impedance ratio of 13.79 is obtained for [NiFe (200)/Cu (25)]8 at frequency 100 kHz.

SiC whisker reinforced (Mo,W)Si2 composite powder has been successfully synthesized by a novel process, named as chemical oven self-propagating high temperature synthesis (COSHS). The mixtures of Si and Ti powders were ignited as chemical oven. XRD result shows that the combustion product is mainly composed of (Mo,W)Si2 solid solution and SiC phases. SEM photo and EDS result show that SiC whisker is formed during this process. The as-prepared SiCW/(Mo,W)Si2 composite powder has been pressureless sintered. The microstructure and mechanical properties of the composite were investigated. Relative densities of the monolithic material and composite are 91.2% and 92.2%, respectively. The composite containing SiC whisker and (Mo,W)Si2 solid solution has higher Vickers hardness than monolithic MoSi2. Especially the room-temperature flexural strength of the composite is higher than that of monolithic MoSi2, from 135.5MPa for MoSi2 to 235.6MPa for composites with 10 vol.% WSi2 and 15 vol.% SiC, increased by 73.9%. The morphology of fractured surface of composite reveals the mechanism to improve flexural strength of MoSi2. The results of this work show that in situ SiCW/(Mo,W)Si2 composite powder prepared by COSHS technique could be successfully sintered via pressureless sintering process and significant improvement of room temperature flexural strength could be achieved. It could be a cost-effective process for industry in future applications.

Various sizes SiO2 colloidal particles in the size range of 260-950 nm were synthesized by the stöber method by adjusting the amount of ammonia from 9.0 ml to 3.0 ml while keeping 20.0 ml tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS), 125.0 ml ethanol, 6.0 ml ammonia and 18.0 ml distilled water fixed. In addition, X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) were employed to analyze the crystallinity and morphology of the synthesized SiO2 colloidal particles; the XRD result show that the SiO2 colloidal particles are amorphous at room temperature; the SEM results demonstrated that the amount of ammonia could have significant effects on the size, size distribution and sphericity of the SiO2 colloidal particles. SiO2 colloidal particles were resulted with good monodispersity when the amount of ammonia was in the range of 6.0-90 ml, while SiO2 colloidal particles with double size distribution were obtained when the range is 3.0-4.5 ml; on the other hand, SiO2 spheres were resulted with good sphericity when the ammonia is in the range of 6.0-7.5 ml.

This paper presents the results of studies of the luminescence properties of structures with Ge(Si) quantum dots (QDs), in which a pit-patterned surface of silicon on insulator substrate served both for the spatial ordering of QDs and for the formation of a two-dimensional photonic crystal. It is shown that by choosing the parameters of pit-patterned substrate (the diameter of the pits and the period of their location), it is possible to provide a significant increase of intensity of the QD luminescence signal in the near-IR range. This enhancement is associated with interaction of spatially ordered QD emission with the modes of a photonic crystal formed by the pattern of pits. The effect of amplification of the luminescence signal persists up to room temperature.

<p>Atung (Parinarium glaberimmum Hassk) was tropical plant as potential as antimicrobial much<br />grown in Eastern Indonesia especially in Maluccas area. The aim of this research was to determine<br />the chemical characteristics of smoked swordfish was soak in extract atung seed before smoking.<br />Measurement parameter of chemical characteristics covering the moisture conten, levels of ash,<br />levels of fat, levels of a protein micro method Kjeldahl ash (AOAC 2005), carbohydrates (method<br />by difference) and microbiologi. The observation is made every day storage 2 days up 4 days. This<br />research used Factorial Randomized Design with 3 replication. Data analysis statistic univariate<br />using software SPSS 20. The results of this research show the swordfish were soak in extract atung<br />seed before smoking affect the chemical characteristics and microbiologi. Swordfish smoked<br />with extract atung seed and room tempareture storage were given significant effect (α=5%) to the<br />microbes total. The best value of swordfish in soak of atung extract at first production with value<br />of microbes 2,6x104 CFU. The chemical characteristics analysis result show differences among<br />the treatments during the storage room temperature. The best values of chemical characteristics<br />swordfish smoked at 2 days room temperature storage with moisture level 59,46%, ash level 2,66%,<br />fat level 1,63%, protein level 34,62% and carbohydrat level 1,63%.<br />Keywords : Atung seed, natural preservative, quality</p>

Abstract  In this work, pure Polypyrrole (PPy) and Polypyrrole (PPy)/Graphene (GN) was synthesized by in-situ polymerization in different weight percentages (0.1, 0.3, 0.5, 1, 3 and 5 wt.% (g)) of GN nano particles using chemical oxidation method at room temperature. The FTIR, SEM and electrical properties were studies for the nano composites. The result show that when concentration of GN Nano particle increase, the electrical conductivity increased and the graphene sheets were merging to form a continuous area of the GN through the polypyrrole base material. The FTIR spectra shows that the characteristics absorption peaks of polypyrrole that is, 1546.80, 1463.87 and 3400.27 cm-1(stretching vibration in the pyrrole ring), and at 1080.06 cm-1 was assigned to C—O stretching and at 1589.23 cm-1 was assigned to C—C vibration of carbon ring in graphene. الخلاصة حضر البولي بايرول النقي و المطعم بدرجة حرارة الغرفه بطريقة الاكسدة الكيميائية و قد تم استخدام جسيمات الكرافين النانوية و بالنسب التالية (0.1, 0.3, 0.5, 1. 3, ,5 %). و تم استخدام طيف الاشعه تحت الحمراء و ماسح الالكترون المجهري لتشخيص البولي بايرول المحضر كما قيست التوصيلية الكهربائية المستمرة و اوجدت النتائج ان التوصيلية تزداد بزيادة درجه الحرارة و كذالك بزيادة الكرافين .

This paper introduces a new way to detect charge using MEMS variable capacitors for extremely sensitive, room temperature electrometry. It is largely based on the electrometers introduced by Riehl et al. [1] except variable capacitance is created by a changing area, not a changing gap. The new scheme will improve MEMS electrometers by eliminating the effects of squeeze-film damping and by theoretically increasing the maximum charge resolution by 70%. The charge conversion gain (the increase in output voltage per input unit charge) for this system is derived. The result show good agreement with MATLAB calculations.

It is shown that a vacuum embedded in a very strong magnetic field, B, behaves like an isotropic, paramagnetic medium. It is further demonstrated that the magnetic permeability μ(B) of the vacuum differs from 1 by not more than 1.1 × 10−4 for magnetic fields weaker than 4.4 × 1013 G (typical paramagnetic materials at room temperature have corresponding values in the range of 10−5–10−2).

ABSTRACTA simple methodology to electrodeposit thin soft CoFe films with desirable microwave properties from simple salt solutions at room temperature is demonstrated. Plating solution parameters have diverse influences on real potentials of ion reductions and deposition behavior of the FeCo crystals, consequently affecting largely the particle size, crystal structure and chemical composition of the film fabricated. This in turn determines their static magnetism and dynamic microwave properties. Through optimizing solution additive, concentration and temperature from electrodeposition mechanism, the as-prepared nanofilms possess a low coercivity of < 30 Oe, moderate anisotropy of 60-90 Oe, high crystallinity and magnetic moment of ≥ 2.0 T, and hence readily display an ultrahigh magnetic permeability (up to 1128) and resonant frequency (up to 2.1 gigahertz) simultaneously, as well as other desirable physico-chemical properties. Thus the nanofilms can be applied to high gigahertz frequency applications.
