Kata kunci: ASI eksklusif, Edukasi, Kader kesehatan, Ibu balita, Wowa Tamboli ABSTRACT Exclusive breastfeeding is the most appropriate nutrition given to newborns up to the age of 6 months. Exclusive breastfeeding can improve nutritional status in infants and minimize morbidity and mortality in infants. One way to succeed in giving exclusive breastfeeding is by conducting counseling to health cadres and mothers who have toddlers. Health cadres are people who often socialize with the community in delivering information related to health. The purpose of community service activities is carried out to increase the knowledge and awareness of health cadres and mothers of children under five about the benefits of exclusive breastfeeding in supporting government programs on increasing the scope of exclusive breastfeeding. The program was carried out on January 25, 2020 in the form of health education to health cadres and mothers of children under five with 75 participants. The extension participants were very enthusiastic about the activity and gave feedback by asking questions in the discussion session. Dedicated lecturers expect the participation of health cadres to provide assistance to pregnant and lactating women in order to increase coverage of exclusive breastfeeding. Improvement in the exclusive breastfeeding (EBF) rates until 6 months have been proved to be a major contributor in the improvement of child survival over last two decades because EBF provides optimal nutrition for early life. However, most of the low-income countries (LIC) and low-middle income countries (LMIC) are below the 90% benchmark set by World Health Organization. Evidence regarding CBIs for EBF among lactating women with infants <6 m was searched in PubMed and Cochrane library. Studies from LICs and LMICs that reported EBF until 6 months as outcomes were included and their results were analysed. Data extraction included characteristics of the studies and full summary that involved the effect of interventions on the outcomes. Of 5,530 studies initially identified, 25 studies were included for the systematic review. The interventions were community-based that focused on breastfeeding practices among lactating women with infants <6 m. The studies were geographically diverse-involved LICs (n=7) and LMICs (n=11). The population ranged from n=12 to 26,262. Of 25 studies, five types of interventions reported- counselling interventions (n=14), training to peer counsellors (n=2), mass media interventions (n=5), mobile phone Interventions (n=1), and EBF promotion and education (n=3). CBIs could substantially increase the rates of EBF. The review identified five types of CBIs, indicating that there are different ways through which high EBF rates could be achieved. Counselling intervention was more effective but other interventions have also shown significant results in improving BF practices.

Background: Exclusive breastfeeding during the first six months of an infant’s life is an important factor for their optimal growth and health. Breastfeeding also has maternal benefits and can assist with postpartum weight loss. As shown by previous studies, postpartum weight retention can contribute to obesity. Objective: To quantify the human milk and evaluate the effect of breastfeeding on maternal weight loss during the 12 months postpartum. Method: This study included 70-mother–baby pairs. Infants’ intake of human milk and water from other sources, as well as the body composition of the mothers, were measured at the 1st, 3rd, 6th, 9th and 12th month postpartum by using the deuterium oxide dose-to-mother technique. Results: There was a significant change in the mothers’ body composition between the first and twelfth months in exclusive breastfeeding women compared to not-exclusive ones. Similarly, the difference between the quantities of human milk intake was highly significant in exclusive breastfeeding women compared to women who were not exclusively breastfeeding. Conclusion: Our results showed that exclusive breastfeeding for twelve months has a significant effect on postpartum weight loss among Moroccan women and that it is an effective way to control overweight and obesity among lactating women.

Most recent studies show the impact of violations in the metabolism of folate and metin period in the pathogenesis of neural tube defects (NTD) of the fetus. Metafolin has a number of advantages, which primarily includes direct intake of substances in biologically active form and the optimum effect, even in the case when the patient homozygote and/or heterozygote genotype 677С T polymorphism in MTHFR. With the aim of prevention and treatment of various pathological conditions related to folate deficiency during pregnancy, it is advisable to apply vitamin-mineral complexes, containing metafolin - active form of folate with high bioavailability. Key words: MTHFR, metafolin, folic acid, pregnancy.
