The study was conducted in Oromia regional state West Shoa Zone in Ambo Town in case of “Consumer The mobile phone Brand Preferences of Local Made Brands to Global”. Mobile phones are today can be considered as one of ingredient in the life of human beings. But due to rapid developments in technology, modernization and new innovations, there is a short lifecycle of mobile phone, which has a great impact on the manufacturers and retailers of such products.  Then this study aimed to investigate the factors effecting consumers Mobile brand preferences local to global. The study employed both descriptive and explanatory research design. The target populations of the study were the mobile phone users in Ambo town of West Shoa Zone Oromia regional state, Ethiopia. The data was collected from 385 respondents by using convenience sampling technique. For data analysis descriptive (mean & standard deviation) and inferential (t-test, correlation analysis, and multiple regressions) were employed. Based on analysis the result shows the significance difference of local brand & global.  In addition the result of regression shows all variables statistically significant except innovation, social status, and price. This was because consumers were not affording imported brands. Then, it can be concluded that there was a significant relationship between consumers local brand preference and global. Therefore, it can be recommended that marketers should sell innovative brands to satisfy the desire of consumers.

Background: Tattooing has gained increasing popularity worldwide especially among adolescents and young adults. Worldwide, the evidence for tattooing has been found since old day. For thousands of years, human beings have marked their own skin, deliberately by permanently applying various types of pigment or ink. Tattoo inks usually consist of organic pigments, isopropyl alcohol and water. Tattooing is a practice in numerous cultures, for a variety of reasons. Sometimes tattoos are used as a proof of social status, or to identify one’s membership. Therefore a study was undertaken to assess the prevalence of tattooing and awareness about associated health risks among students in a selected college of district Ludhiana, Punjab. Objective: To assess the prevalence of tattooing and awareness about health risks associated with tattooing among students. Material and Method: A descriptive research design was used to assess the prevalence of tattooing and awareness about associated health risks among students in selected college of district Ludhiana, Punjab. Convenience sampling technique was used to select sample of 144 students. Data was collected electronically (Google Forms). Analysis was done as per objectives of study by using descriptive and inferential statistics. Result: The study results showed that Majority of the students (>80%) were aware about common health risks related to tattooing. Age and socioeconomic status of students had significant association with awareness of health risk related to tattooing. Conclusion: The study finding revealed that nearly (98.6%) subjects had no tattoo. Hence it was concluded that the prevalence of tattooing among students is (1.4%). In context of tattooing, (42.4%) students were interested to have tattoo whereas, (51.4%) were not interested and (6.3%) were eager to try getting tattoo. Key words: Students, Tattoo, health risks.


The article tries to find out the customer satisfaction towards air-conditioner users in Chennai city. Two objective of this study is reached through proper methodology. Sample size was 200. Convenience sampling technique was used in this study. Reliability of this tool is 0.82 and 0.88. Analysis was done through path analysis. It is found that there is influence of brand preference and factors determining purchase of air-conditioner on customer satisfaction towards air-conditioner. Research also identified that there is influence of customer satisfaction on brand loyalty towards air-conditioner. Hence, it is concluded that distributers and marketers require to framework best pricing strategies, star ratings, warranty and guarantee, product quality etc

The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of prestige sensitivity on mobile phone customer’s price acceptance in Vietnam and the mediating role of product knowledge and price mavenism on this relationship. We used the convenience sampling method for data collection via questionnaires with a sample of 605 consumers who purchased mobile phones. The collected data was analysed by applying a structural equation modelling method. The result indicates that prestige sensitivity has both direct and indirect effects on price acceptance via product knowledge and price mavenism. The findings suggest that prestige sensitivity can be used as a market segmentation criterion for mobile phones when making price decisions and providing customers with adequate information could improve price acceptance.

In today’s corporate world, the concept of Corporate Social Responsibility has been integrated into their strategic plans and policies. It has been incorporated into the decision making process taken in view of the competitive advantage that could be achieved through social initiatives. As consumers were the most sensitive group among the stakeholders to such initiatives, this paper tries to explore the awareness of consumers of companies towards CSR practices in AluvaTaluk. The paper also tries to examine whether CSR initiatives have any association with the consumers demographic profile. A total of 160 respondents were chosen from AluvaTaluk using convenience sampling technique. The data was collected through self-administered questionnaires and were analysed using SPSS 16.0 software. The study revealed that majority of the consumers of Aluva were aware of CSR but was unaware of the fact that it was a mandatory provision for the firms under the Companies Act, 2013. The consumers who were aware had only a medium level of understanding on the concept of CSR. Age, education and income of the consumers were found to have a significant association with their awareness on CSR.

Malaysia has recorded the second highest involuntary turnover rate at 6% and third highest voluntary rate at 6.5% in South East Asia. Employee loyalty becomes critical towards employer. Thus, the purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between career development, compensation, job security, work environment and employee loyalty. In conducting this study, convenience sampling technique has been employed and respondents have been chosen in the area of Kuala Lumpur. Hypothesis were tested using regression analysis by using Smart-PLS. Based on the result, career development, compensation and job security were found to be significant with employee loyalty. However, work environment was found to be not significant with employee loyalty. It is suggested for future research to explore other variables in order to find the factors contributed in employee loyalty. Store Atmospherics is an innovative tool that retailers use to attract a number of customers into the store and retain them for longer time in the store. The share of large format retail stores in organized retail sector is increasing significantly. This paper is an empirical study of factors of Store Atmospherics from customers’ viewpoint. Data was collected through structured questionnaire from 75 respondents following convenience sampling technique. Reliability test and factor analysis were done using SPSS. Results show that Store Music, Store Decorations, Store Fragrance, Store Brightness, In-store Promotions and Ambience are the important Store Atmospheric factors. Large format retailers should focus more on these so as to increase their appeal to the customers and give them a good shopping experience so that favourable shopping outcomes follow.

This study aims to determine the influence of organizational ethical culture, professional commitment, and ethical orientation on ethical sensitivity. The sample in this study is BAWASDA in Padang. The sampling technique with convenience sampling method. The total of questionnaire distributed counted 120 and able to be used  105. The study use Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with AMOS application version 16.0 to examine the structural relationship among variables that affect officer sensitivity to ethical situation. The results of this study indicated that: (1) the organizational ethical culture have a significant effect on idealism. (2) the organizational ethical culture have a significant effect on relativism. (3) professional commitment doesn’t significant effect on idealism. (4) professional commitment doesn’t significant effect on relativism. (5) idealism significant effect on ethical sensitivity. (6) relativism significant effect on ethical sensitivity. (7) organization ethical culture significant effect on ethical sensitivity and (8) professional commitment doesn’t significant effect on ethical sensitivity.

The current study aimed to isolate bacteria that harbour various animal food products like meat, chicken and seafoods collected from the abattoir, butcher shops and local seafood market and to determine the antimicrobial resistance pattern of isolated pathogens which are responsible for various foodborne illnesses in human beings. A total of forty raw animal product samples were collected from the abattoir, butcher shops and local seafood market of Visakhapatnam. The samples selected for the study include raw chicken, meat, crab, prawns and different varieties of fish. A classic random sampling technique was employed to collect the study samples. All the samples were processed immediately using standard microbiological protocols. The bacteria isolation and characterization were done by studying morphological characteristics with staining methods, cultural characteristics by isolating and growing the pathogenic microorganisms in various selective and differential culture media. Antimicrobial susceptibility testing was performed by the Kirby -Bauer method by following Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI) guidelines. EDTA-Disc Potentiation Test and Imipenem-EDTA Double disc synergy test are used to detect the metallo beta-lactamase production of isolated pathogens. The highest number of isolates belong to Salmonella species (18), Pseudomonas aeruginosa (18) followed by Vibrio species (14) and few isolates belong to Enterobacter species (4). Majority of the microbial isolates obtained in the current study were multidrug resistant. The isolates from the abattoir environments, slaughterhouses, fish markets were found to exhibit variable resistance pattern to aminoglycosides, macrolides, β-lactams, cephalosporins, quinolone antibiotics used in the present study and at the same time most of them were sensitive to carbapenem antibiotic imipenem. Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) prevents the designing and assessment of effective interventions. If such a link can be established, then the tracking of antibiotic use and consumption data could be furthermore used as a surrogate indicator for the risk of potential antibiotic resistance (ABR) emergence.

The study was conducted using 800 adult local chickens comprising 355 males and 445 females, which were obtained from 2 major markets in Ado Ekiti, the capital city of Ekiti state, Nigeria. Convenience sampling technique was employed in selecting animals for observation. The birds were individually observed for phenotypic expression of shank colour, feather morphology, feather structure, polydactyly, ptylopody and comb types. The number in each group was expressed as a percentage of the total number of birds. The body size parameters measured include body weight, body girth, body length, shank length, wing length, toe length, keel length and shank diameter. The result revealed that the phenotypic frequencies of birds with dominant genes for feather morphology (FF, Ff), feather structure (NaNa + Nana), poly dactyl (PoPo + Popo) and ptylopods (FshFsh + Fshfsh) were 0.033, 0.037, 0.042 and 0.046 respectively, while that of the recessive gene carriers were 0.967, 0.963, 0.958 and 0.954 respectively. The calculated gene frequencies for frizzled (F), Naked neck (Na), Polydactyly (Po) and ptylopods (Fsh) were 0.035, 0.024, 0.034 and 0.035 respectively. The local chicken showed different plumage coloration with black, brown and pink predominating. The male birds were superior to their female counterparts with significant differences (P<0.05) in all the parameters measured except weight.

ABSTRACTThe current adoption of financial technology (fintech) payment by Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) is motivated by the trend of using digital money. The purpose of this study is to test and analyze empirically the factors that influence the intention of SMEs to use fintech payments. This study uses a quantitative method by distributing surveys to 94 MSMEs in the Magelang using convenience sampling technique. The test results with SEM-PLS show that the perceived usefulness and the perception of trust have an effect on attitudes. Risk perception and trust affect the intention to use fintech payment. Meanwhile, for ease of use, perception and risk perception have no effect on attitudes and perceived usefulness. Attitudes have no effect on intentions to use fintech payment. Hasil pengujian dengan SEM-PLS menunjukkan bahwa persepsi manfaat dan persepsi kepercayaan berpengaruh terhadap sikap. Persepsi risiko dan kepercayaan mempengaruhi niat untuk menggunakan pembayaran fintech. Sedangkan untuk kemudahan penggunaan, persepsi dan persepsi risiko tidak berpengaruh terhadap sikap dan manfaat yang dirasakan. Sikap tidak berpengaruh terhadap niat menggunakan fintech payment. Berdasarkan perhitungan path value, faktor yang paling kuat mempengaruhi niat menggunakan fintech payment adalah persepsi kepercayaan.Kata kunci: fintech payment, TAM, UMKM
