Purpose: This research was conducted to identify the effectiveness of sandplay therapy to improve students’ self-esteem among students. Methods: The sample was 16 students for experimental group, who received sandplay therapy, in comparison to the 16 students from control group who did not receive any treatment intervention. The instrument used in this research was Self-Esteem Inventory developed by Coopersmith. Data were analyzed using SPSS version 22 using Manova Repeated Measure Method, pre-test and post-test instruments. Results: The results from multivariate Pillai’s Trace test shows the main effect of the sandplay therapy from the post-test is significant F (5, 11) = 41.372, p<.05. The univariate shows that there is significant difference of the sandplay therapy to the general self-esteem F (1, 15) = 49.853 α<.05, social self-esteem F (1, 15) = 63.646 α<.05, parental self-esteem F (1, 15) = 82.924 α<.05 and academic self-esteem F (1, 15) = 80.071 α<.05. Conclusions: Sandplay therapy can be used in school to help students improve their self-esteem. Given this, one of the issues relating to adolescents is low self-esteem. Therefore, by applying sandplay therapy can minimize the issue surrounding low self-esteem among adolescents particularly in Brunei Darussalam However, since limited study on the usage of this kind of therapy, it is suggested that further study on the applicability of this therapy should be conducted.

The notion of applying ICT to support traditional learning approach (face-to-face learning) is obviously not new todays. This study aimed to seek the significant difference between the mid test and final test scores of students’ English listening and reading skills. Mid test score represents face-to-face learning approach applied from first meeting whereas final test score represents blended learning approach employed after the mid test. The method used in this study was quantitative. A random selection of samples was carried out involving 133 first year undergraduates in Jakarta pursuing English as a compulsory course. Data collection technique used mid and final tests of two English skills: listening and reading. This study revealed that there was a significant difference between the mid test and the post test scores.

The study determined the effect of student-centered learning approach in teaching basic grammar of the tenth-grade students. Specifically, this study sought answers to following questions: 1). How does the result of the pre-test compare to that of post-test of the control and experimental groups? 2). Is there any significant difference in the results of the test between the control and experimental groups? 3). What is student-centered teaching guide in basic grammar that can be developed based on the findings of the study? It was applied an experimental research design in this study. The result in the post-test of the control and experimental groups showed that the computed the T value of 3.03 was higher than the tabular value of 2.03, at the degree of freedom of 34, at 5% level of significance. This condition rejects the null hypothesis that there is no significant difference in the mean scores in the post-test of the control and experimental groups. The student-centered teaching guide enhanced the students’ writing skill in the basic grammar of the tenth-grade students in the experimental group.

The study determined if integrative learning approach could improve learners’ achievement in Technology and Livelihood Education. The respondents of the study were the Grade 10 learners of Muzon Harmony Hills High School during second quarter of school year 2019-2020. Fifty learners participated in the study who were purposively selected and assigned to experimental and control groups. Achievement test and interview guide questions were used. The findings revealed a significant difference between the level of achievement of the experimental and control groups based on the pre-test and post-test. The obtained mean scores of the experimental group in the pre-test was 13.92 and 38.16 in the post-test with the total mean gain of 24.24, while the mean scores of the control group in the pre-test is 13.76 and 28.16 in the post-test with the total mean gain of 14.40. There was a mean difference of 0.16 in the pre-test and 10 in the post-test. After the given intervention, the computed t-value of 6.71 was greater than the obtained critical value of 1.67 and the acquired p-value was less than the alpha level of 0.05. This means that prior to the given intervention there was no significant difference between the achievements of both groups. Hence, after the given intervention, the achievement of learners who were exposed to the integrative learning approach was found significantly better than the achievement of learners who exposed to the conventional approach. Therefore, the hypothesis that there was a significant difference between the achievement of both groups was accepted.
