This research is departing from the development of Islamic banking industry, which is growing rapidly. Moreover, the bank demanded to implement good corporate governance (GCG) in order to prevent any risk of islamic banking losses, both financial loss and reputation risk. The implementation of GCG in islamic banking industry have to meet the shariah compiance. Thus, to ensure the shariah compliance, it requires shariah supervisiory board (DPS), which it serves to maintain the bank‟s adherence to islamic principles in their activities to manage customer funds. The regulation of Bank of Indonesia no. 11/33/PBI/2009 on the implementation of GCG in islamic banks provide a comprehensive policy regarding the duties and the responsibilities of the DPS to ensure the fulfillment of islamic principles in implementation of good corporate governance in islamic banking.Keywords: Good corporate governance, Islamic Banking, Shariah Supervisiory Board, Shariah Principles, Regulation of Bank of Indonesia

Despite recent growth in the Islamic banking industry, little is known on the best practices in its risk management. This paper examines the risk management systems of Islamic banks in Lebanon. Using a survey technique, it shows the diversity of risks faced by Islamic banks. It also confirms the importance of good corporate governance as a tool which is associated with the implementation of best practices in risk management

The Islamic Banking Industry has a strategic role in people's economic development.This study aims to analyze the effect of CAR, NPF, FDR, and BOPO on the performance of Islamic banks in Indonesia during the Covid-19 pandemic, using Good Corporate Governance moderation. The total sample of research data during the study period was 60 observational data. This research was conducted using the Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) method. Based on the results of the data test, it was found that the capital adequacy ratio and BOPO variables had a positive and significant effect on the performance of Islamic banks. The non-performing financing variable has no effect on the performance of Islamic banks. The variable Financing to Deposit Ratio has a negative and significant effect on the performance of Islamic Banks. Good Corporate Governance as measured by the size of the Board of Commissioners and proven to moderate the influence of the Capital Adequacy Ratio and BOPO variables on the performance of Islamic Banks. Good Corporate Governance as measured by the size of the Board of Commissioners is proven to moderate the influence of the Non Performing Financing variable on the performance of Islamic Banks, but moderate the influence of the Financing to Deposit Ratio variable on the performance of Islamic Banks.

The implementation of GCG is very important in a bank to improve banking performance, especially the financial performance of Islamic banking. Financial performance is one of the tools used to measure whether the banking performance is going well or not. This study aims to analyze the effect of Good Corporate Governance (GCG)/X on financial performance (ROA)/Y. This type of research is quantitative, using secondary data. The population is all Islamic banks registered with the OJK. While the sampling technique used purposive sampling method, namely 8 Islamic banks which were then multiplied by 3 years until the final sample was 24 samples. The data analysis technique used simple linear regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that GCG has a significant effect on financial performance. This is evidenced by the composite average value of Islamic banking which has the predicate "Good". While the average value of the ROA has increased. This research is in accordance with the statement that the implementation of GCG is very useful for improving financial performance, the better the GCG, the better the performance. The purpose of this research is to analyze the influence of the quality of the implementation of good corporate governance toward profitability of Islamic Banks and analyze the influence of non performing finance toward profitability of Islamic Banks. This research used secondary data from financial statements published by Bank Indonesia and Annual Report GCG in 2010-2013. The Techniques used for sampling is purposive sampling and obtained by 10 Islamic Banks with a total sample of 39 Islamic Banks. Profitability ( Dependent Variable ) in this research is proxied by Return on Assets ( ROA) .While the Independent Variable is The Quality Implementation of Good Corporate Governance obtained from Composite GCG Self Assessment Report Annual Islamic Banking, and Financing Risks are proxied by the Non -Performing Finance ( NPF ). The influence of the three variables and relationships are tested using multiple regression analysis.  T-test SPSS results showed that the quality of the implementation of Good Corporate Governance has negative influence and significant toward profitability of Islamic banking. Non-Performing Finance has negative influence and significant toward profitability of Islamic banking. While the F-test SPSS results showed Implementation of Good Corporate Governance and Quality of Non-Performing Finance has negative influence and significant toward profitability of Islamic banking. This study is about good corporate governance is an increasingly crowded studied both in the acadimician and practiciant. With good corporate governance are applied consistently positive for the Islamic banks, due to the good corporate governance include things that are in line with Islamic law such as transparency, independence, accountability and responsibility.               Therefore good corporate governance will create a culture of superior companies, so that with the superior culture of what the objectives of the company will be more easily achieved. In addition, a culture of excellence will form a dynamic working atmosphere and professional.            Good corporate governance will also strengthen the system so that the function of leadership and organization will establish a value. If it will continue on an ongoing basis it will make a positive contribution that benefits the company, or Islamic banking. Trust will also be obtained both from internal and external company or Islamic banks.

Islamic banks are banks that carry out their business activities based on the principles of Islamic law in banking activities based on fatwas issued by the National Sharia Council of the Majelis Ulama Indonesia. This research aims to explain the principles of Good Corporate Governance in Islamic banking in Indonesia. The method used in this research is normative legal research. The results of the research explained that to maintain the trust of Indonesian people who are predominantly Muslim, Islamic banking must apply the principle of Good Corporate Governance in its management. The application of the principle of Good Corporate Governance in Islamic banking is strictly regulated in Article 34 Paragraph (1) of Law Number 21 of 2008, which emphasizes that Islamic banks must implement good governance that includes the principles of transparency, accountability, responsibility, professionalism and fairness in carrying out its business activities. Form of application of the principles of Good Corporate Governance in Islamic banking is supervision conducted by the National Sharia Council of the Majelis Ulama Indonesia in general and the Sharia Supervisory Board specifically in each Islamic bank. Based on data from the Financial Services Authority in 2017, currently there are 13 Islamic banks in Indonesia, 13 Islamic business unit of conventional banks, and 102 Islamic rural banks. This is evidence of the existence and development of Islamic banking that is significant in the national banking system.

Sharia Banking in Indonesia has a Sharia Supervisory Board that can monitor the operation of Sharia banks so that they are different from other banks. It is hoped that with this monitoring system the operation of corporate governance will be better. This study aims to explain the differences in the application of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) between Islamic banking in Indonesia. Sharia Bank is a bank whose application is different from conventional banks. Where one of the differences is the existence of a Sharia Supervisory Board which ensures bank activities are based on sharia. Then conducted a study of Islamic banks during 2014 to 2018. This research method uses descriptive analysis based on data that has been reported by each Islamic banking. The results of the survey showed that BCA Syariah and BSM received the highest rating among other sharia banks. This explanation shows that the implementation of corporate governance has been "very good" and has been in accordance with the stipulated provisions. BNIS, BRIS, Bukopin Syariah Bank, Mega Syariah Bank, Panin Syariah Bank, Victoria Syariah Bank, and Maybank Syariah, each ranked 2 (two). This means that the implementation of corporate governance goes "well". Interestingly, the Muamalat bank which has been the oldest BUS in Indonesia is ranked 3 (three). This means that the application of corporate governance is "good enough". Some notes on Muamalat's bank that must be corrected.

In recent years Islamic financial institution industry is developing so rapidly, as weel as Islamic banking  in Indonesia which is developing significantly. The development of Islamic banking must be accompanied by good governance sothat sharia is not only tag line for the Islamic financial institutions. SOP of Islamic banking must be carried out correctly based on sharia principles. Therefore, Bank Indonesia issued Bank Indonesia Regulation No. 11/33 / PBI 2009 concerning the implementation of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) for Sharia Commercial Banks and Sharia Business Units. The five principles are: Transparency, Accountability, Responsibility, Professional and Fairness or equity. Good Corporate Governance (GCG) is a banking management system designed to improve compliance with laws and regulations of applicable moral ethics. According to Chapra the application of Good Corporate Governance is a requirement for Islamic banks to develop well and healthily. The implementation of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) in Islamic banking is expected to create a healthy, conducive, transparent and efficient business.

Objective – Islamic Banks have a distinct advantage that is not only conduct a commercial operation, but to also conduct social operations. Therefore, Islamic Banks plays an important role in developing the Indonesian economy. The aim of this study is to investigate the impact of internal and external factors that affect the profitability of Islamic Banks in Indonesia. Methodology/Technique – The methodology of this research is multiple regression. The object of this research is the Islamic banking industry in Indonesia. Internal factors include size, liquidity, asset quality, management, and efficiency ratio. External factors include interest rate and inflation. Return on Assets is used to measure profitability. The monthly data is collected from the financial reports of Islamic Banks between 2011 to 2016. Findings – The findings show that size, liquidity, assets quality, management ratio, interest rate and inflation lead to a greater Return on Assets (profitability) in Islamic Banks in Indonesia. Efficiency however does not have a significant effect on profitability of Islamic Banks in Indonesia. Novelty – Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that the Islamic banking industry can use those variables to improve the profitability of Islamic banks in the future. In addition, there are two variables that affect the profitability of Islamic banking industry. For the Islamic banking industry should anticipate the movement of inflation and interest to improve the profitability of Islamic banks. Type of Paper: Empirical paper. The act of accuracy and prudence is very important in the company because is the factor that determines the sustainability of companies such as banking. This study aims to analyze the effect of Shariah Complaints towards the profitability of Islamic Banks in Indonesia. This type of research is quantitative. The data collection method used is the documentation method and library study method. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling with the criteria of Islamic commercial banks that publish annual-reports from 2013 to 2017 from 13 Islamic commercial banks (BUS) in Indonesia. The results of this study show that the Funding and Investment, Products and Services, Employees, Community or Social, Environmental, Corporate Governance simultaneously does not have influence significantly the ROE variable, but it does significantly influence to ROA. Means that the wider the Islamic social reporting of Islamic banking, the greater the profitability of Islamic banking. In addition, high profitability will encourage managers to provide more detailed information, because they want to convince investors of company profits and its compensation for management.
