Flexibility in architectural spaces makes it possible to adjust the living conditions associated with human settlements and adapt the residential unit to human behavior. Today, due to the lack of a correct statement about the proper placement of spaces, biologic neighborhoods in relation to geographic location and the neglect of the true concept of comfort in modern buildings, seems necessary to provide appropriate solutions to this problem. What is the concept of flexibility and how to create and achieve solutions for the reconciliation of the human environment in the climate of own habitat? All of this research seeks to provide a solution to the creative design of flexible spaces, with goals such as: improving and increasing the performance of residential spaces, developing creative design solutions in residential spaces, introducing theoretical foundations and criteria for flexible spaces, and taking advantage of in today's design of housing. The study of theoretical concepts of flexible spaces will help residents to create comfort in the living space of contemporary buildings. This research proposes, through deductive reasoning, appropriate solutions to the positive effects of physical, functional, social and functional characteristics, on increasing the comfort of living in resident settlements. This research is of qualitative and descriptive-analytic method for elaboration of the issue of flexibility and promotion of biological comfort in contemporary habitat. In the discussion of theoretical foundations, a library research has been used including specialized sites, books and scientific articles that use Results and data aggregation can be found in effective physical solutions appropriate to the conditions of the construction of contemporary buildings in Iran.

This article offers the application of constructivist grounded theory in inquiring dimensions of accountability in education. The classical version of grounded theory, which was aligned with the positivist epistemology, has been well discussed in qualitative research. However, the constructivist version of grounded theorizing concerning education has not been adequately articulated in the existing literature. In response to this methodological gap, this paper discusses the canons of constructivist grounded theory in reference to inquiring school actors’ accountability for service delivery in education. The paper draws empirical evidence from the author’s study conducted in the context of community schools in Nepal. The paper argues that theory construction in constructivist grounded theory design is accomplished through the interaction of both data-indicated and extant theoretical concepts by integrating inductive, abductive and deductive reasoning during various stages of the inquiry. The paper also argues that, in constructivist grounded theory, it is not the data saturation as such but the level of researcher’s satisfaction where the grounded theorizing terminates. The paper concludes that the constructivist epistemology of grounded theorizing is useful in addressing the localized understanding of accountability in the decentralized context of education governance in Nepal.

In this article, we analyzed the effects of an educational glass recycling program on primary schools and their students in Castilla-La Mancha (Spain). A sample of 89 schools, with 20,710 elementary students, was selected by simple random sampling. For the statistical analysis, descriptive techniques (frequencies and statistics), parametric (One Way ANOVA test), and non-parametric (Chi-Square test) inferential techniques were used, with a 5% significance level (p < 0.05). The program’s results showed that 153,576.3 kg of glass (with a value of 17,064.03 €) were recycled. Significant determinants of glass recycling were: School category (p = 0.043), previous environmental/recycling education (p = 0.046), geographic location of school (p = 0.030), gender (p = 0.007), and academic year (p < 0.05). With the program, students learned the importance of glass recycling, obtained a greater knowledge of and habits related to the same, acquired favorable attitudes towards the environment, and promoted glass recycling in their social circles. We conclude that environmental education about glass recycling has positive effects on glass recycling attitudes and behaviors in elementary school students and may be used as a measure to combat the problem of environmental pollution.

Purpose – The elaboration likelihood model (ELM) provides a general framework for understanding the basic processes underlying the effectiveness of persuasion. The purpose of this paper is to utilize the ELM to understand the basic processes underlying the effectiveness of persuasion to use digital libraries for getting information. Design/methodology/approach – The survey data collection was conducted in one comprehensive university. The partial least squares structured equation modelling was employed to verify the research model. Findings – Source credibility and reputation have positive effects on information usefulness which further significantly impacts digital library usage for getting information. The effect of information quality on information usefulness is overpowered by reputation. Information need positively moderates the effect of information quality on information usefulness and negatively moderates the effect of reputation on information usefulness. Practical implications – Digital libraries enormously influence the way how individuals gather information over the world. However, the important status of digital libraries as conventional information sources in practice invites appreciation by more and more people. The authors believe the findings of this study provide useful insights for facilitating digital libraries to be fully accessed and utilized. Originality/value – This study explores the effects of the central route (information quality) and the peripheral route (source credibility and reputation) on digital library usage for getting information by extending the ELM with information need as a motivation variable, presenting a new lens for digital library research and practice alike.

This research started with observation of several tourism destinations  in Bali such as Tanah Lot in Tabanan and Taman Ayun Badung. The observation is that by taking pictures of tourists and then selling it on photo printed  paper, profit margins are minimized. Furthermore, selling t-shirts as souvenirs on which the design is lacking in representation of the location show restricted and minimized monetization capabilities. Based on these observations, the researcher intends to conduct research while creating an innovative product which is capable of representing the aforementioned locations. Through implementation of digital photography and patternization modalities, designed photos can instantaneously be printed on the t-shirt, and automatically it may be worn by tourists. This technique can prove to have drastic impact upon the profit margins of vendors in comparison to conventional modalities. The aim of the research is to develop creative industry by applying digital photography through the development of instant product through creative design on t-shirts. The option to choose Tanah Lot and Taman Ayun temples because these toruism objects are of the most favorite tourism destinations steadily receive visitation from many tourists from all around the world. The field researching cultural heritage communication on social networking sites, is still developing its theoretical foundations, while participatory heritage, as one of the newest concepts born in this field, is still lacking its grounded conceptualization, especially emerging from practice-based research studies. This theoretical study suggests to integrate different theoretical considerations that derives from cultural heritage studies, social networking sites research and theory of participation, and proposes to refine the concept of participatory heritage believing that the primary understanding of the context as “participatory” lies not in the environment itself, but in the activity that takes place in it. Therefore, I offer that participatory heritage could be understood as a new shift in cultural heritage practice that emerge through collaboration and communication of people on social networking sites.

Previous scholars in linguistics study have focused only on theory proposed by European linguists, one of them is Ferdinand De Saussure from Swiss. However, long before Saussure’s concept has been popularized, in the fourth century Arab world has already had concept of linguistics initiated by Abdul Qāhir al-Jurjāni. Embarked upon a study on language construction of Al-Qur'an, he extended the concept to general context including Arabic literature. This current study compared Al-Jurjāni and Saussure theoretical concepts by employing library research. The main sources were taken from Dalailul i'jaz authored by Al-Jurjāni and Course in Gerenal Linguistics written by Charles Bally and Albert Sechehay taken from their notes in Saussure’s college class. The findings reveal the sameness of linguistics concept between Saussure and Al- Jurjāni namely langue-parole vs Lughah-Kalam, Significant-Signifier vs lafal-makna, and Syntagmatic-Paradigmatic vs an-nadzm- al-Ikhtiār.

Previous scholars in linguistics studies have focused only on the theory proposed by European linguists, one of them is Ferdinand de Saussure from Swiss. However, long before Saussure’s concept has been popularized, in the fourth century, the Arab world has already had the concept of linguistics initiated by ‘Abd al-Qāhir al-Jurjānī. This study compared al-Jurjānī and de Saussure theoretical concepts by employing library research. This study shows that al-Jurjānī and de Saussurre are similar in several ways, (1) related to langue and parole vis-à-vis al-lughah and al-kalām. al-Jurjānī called it al-lughah for a theory, and al-kalām as the practice of the theory or the words of each individual. Meanwhile, de Saussure said that langue is a system and structure that is in the cognition of certain citizens of society, and parole is its application, (2) related to signifies and signifiant vis-à-vis lafẓ and ma‘ná. Both of them both think that language is not just a word or sentence, both oral and written in such a way, but a system of signs, (3) related to syntagmatics and paradigmatics vis-à-vis al-jiwār and al-ikhtiyār in discussing the relationships that govern the components of linguistic structures.

The environment and its current components play an essential role in human learning. There is an interactive and mutual relationship between humans and environment. The relationship which is established between the container and the object in urban areas can be a type of learning and learner. The environment brings us together and disperses. People learn in it, become cultured, think, learn, organize themselves, and consolidate. The aim of this study is to explain the concept of learning space in the city as a place of learning through providing theoretical foundations.  The method is used in this study is a qualitative-descriptive method by using theoretical issues in learning and human-environment relationship under discussion in educational and environmental psychology. The finding demonstrated that in urban learning environments, the real needs of human beings are redefined and also they are designed and adopted to learning needs.
