Context: The use of technology and computers in health care has been reported to improve nurses' decision-making and competencies, which in turn increase the quality of health-care practice. Aim: of this study is to assess and compare nursing students’ computer self-efficacy and attitudes toward its use in a health care setting in the Faculty of nursing – Benha and Hail Universities. Methods: A descriptive comparative cross-sectional study design was used to achieve the current study aim.  The study conducted in the Faculty of Nursing - Banha University, Egypt, and Faculty of Nursing – Hail University, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Quota sampling of 219 students was chosen as follows; 190 students from the Faculty of Nursing - Banha University and 29 students from the Faculty of Nursing – Hail University. A structured self-administered questionnaire covering sociodemographic data, the pretest for attitudes toward computers in healthcare, and computer self-efficacy scales were the tool used to collect the study data.  Results: 33% of nursing students from Benha University were have a realistic view of current computer capabilities in health care. In contrast, 28% of nursing students from Hail had a very positive view of computer use in health care. Nursing students at Hail University have the highest mean score compared to Benha nursing students (79.45±15.85 & 61.2±7.25, respectively) in their attitudes toward computer and computer self-efficacy. Benha nursing students have moderate computer self-efficacy compared with Hail nursing students who have a high computer self-efficacy level. A highly statistically significant relationship was detected between students' attitudes toward computers and computer self-efficacy (p-value=0.000). Also, there was a highly positive, statistically significant correlation between the demographic variables of nursing students and both students’ attitudes toward computers in health care and computer self-efficacy (p-value =0.00). Conclusion: Nursing students in both universities have a positive attitude toward computer use. A significant difference between the mean scores of the two groups in their attitude toward computer and self-efficacy was detected, with a highly statistically significant correlation between both students’ attitudes and their self-efficacy. Also, a significant relationship revealed between the studied students’ demographics and their attitude and self-efficacy. Future studies are recommended to evaluate existing technologies in terms of acceptance, effectiveness, and efficiency in real-life settings and to examine its effect on patient outcomes.  Nurse educators should design training courses and educational programs to enhance computer self-efficacy beliefs among nursing students.

Background: Needlestick and sharp injuries are a serious hazard in any health care setting for health care workers and students during clinical practice. Thus, the efforts to prevent the needlestick and sharps injuries are needed and considered a part of the routine practice.Objective: This study aimed to investigate the frequency of nursing students in doing the correct practice in prevention needlestick and sharps injuries.Methods: This cross- sectional study was conducted between 2013 and 2014 in nursing students of Tien Giang Medical College who participated in clinical practice. There were 360 students participated in the study using simple random sampling. Data were collected using the practical assessment checklist and demographic characteristics questionnaire. Data were processed using STATA 12.0, and analyzed using Chi-square and Fisher test.Results: The students who did general practice correctly accounted for 52.50%, and those who did practice incorrectly was 47.5%. The students who used gauze or wool wrap in inhaler were 59.7%, wearing gloves in practice (39.2%), do not disassemble needles from syringes after injection 50%, and removing needles into barrel after injection (65.6%). There was statistically significant relationship between time of participation in clinical practice and correct practice with p-value 0.04 (<0.05)Conclusion: The correct practice of nursing students related to the prevention of needlestick and sharps injuries remains low. There was a significant relationship between time of participation in clinical practice and correct nursing practice. It is suggested that students must be taught about the risk of infection at the beginning of clinical practice, and constantly reminded throughout the learning process, especially for injection safety awareness, knowledge and techniques about the risk of transmission of HBV, HCV and HIV by sharp objects in the healthcare facility.

Background: Diabetes Mellitus (DM) cases increased by 776 cases from the previous year based on data from Abdul Wahab Sjahranie Regional Hospital. There are many changes that occur in the life of people with type 2 diabetes, such as stress, anxiety, anger, and feeling useless. These problems can be minimized if the patient also has the knowledge and ability as well as good self-efficacy to manage the disease by doing self-care. Aim: To analyze the factors associated with the self-efficacy of type 2 DM patients. Methods: a quantitative study with a cross sectional approach. The purposive sampling technique for Type 2 DM patients at Abdul Wahab Sjahranie Hospital Samarinda, totaling 60 respondents from September-October 2018. Results: showed a significant relationship between duration of suffering and self-efficacy of DM patients with a p value <0.001, and there was no significant relationship between age, sex, education level, knowledge, motivation and self-efficacy with a p value> 0.001. Conclusion: The duration of type 2 diabetes is related to the patient's self-efficacy ability.

This research aims to determine the relationship between the computer use related self-efficacy perceptions and academic success of conservatory students in distance education during the COVID-19 pandemic. The sample group of the study consists of 130 students who received distance education at Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University State Conservatory during the COVID-19 pandemic. The quantitative data of the study were obtained via the "Computer Self-Efficacy Perception Scale" developed by Aşkar and Umay, and the academic success scores were obtained through correspondence with the conservatory administration. The demographic characteristics of the participants including gender, branch, age, and class information in the sample group were collected through a form prepared by the researcher. SPSS 21.0 program was used in the analysis of the research data. The data was analysed using a t-test, ANOVA and correlation and regression analyses. According to the results of the research, there is a positive, significant, and moderate relationship between conservatory students' computer self-efficacy perceptions and their academic success scores in distance education. The current study revealed that conservatory students' computer self-efficacy perceptions are a predictor of the academic success scores in distance education and can explain 30.2% of the academic success score. Gender, branch, age, and class variables do not have a significant effect on academic success scores and computer self-efficacy perceptions.

Background: Adolescents face the problem of bullying, they need social support from those around them to have confidence in their abilities. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between self-efficacy and social support with bullying in adolescents at Junior High School 2 Sepatan, Tangerang Regency. Methods: The research design is cross-sectional using the spearman correlation test to analyze the relationship between variables. The sampling technique was simple random sampling with 127 respondents. The instrument uses a self-efficacy questionnaire, Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support, and The revised Olweus Bully or Victim Questionnaire. Results: There is a significant relationship between self-efficacy and bullying (p-value 0.031) and there is a significant relationship between social support and bullying (p-value 0.001). Conclusion: There is a relationship between self-efficacy and social support for victims of bullying in adolescents. This study is also useful for parents that teenagers need support in getting through the effects of bullying.

Tekanan darah merupakan faktor yang sangat penting pada sistem sirkulasi. Tidak semua tekanan darah berada dalam batas normal sehingga menyebabkan munculnya gangguan pada tekanan darah yakni hipertensi dan hipotensi. Prevalensi hipertensi di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta masuk di urutan ke-14 yaitu sebesar 25,7%. Selain itu ada cara untuk mendeteksi adanya gangguan tekanan darah atau masalah sirkulasi pada tubuh dengan cara memeriksa tekanan darah dan mengetahui nilai saturasi oksigen. Gangguan tekanan darah yang bisa mempengaruhi nilai pada saturasi oksigen di tubuh. Penelitian bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan umur dan jenis kelamin dengan tekanan darah dan saturasi oksigen (SpO2) pada mahasiswa keperawatan salah satu universitas di Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian korelasi dengan rancangan penelitian cross sectional. Populasi adalah seluruh mahasiswa salah satu kampus keperawatan salah satu universitas di Yogyakarta berjumlah 137 orang. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah total sampling dengan 120 responden yang sesuai kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah sphygmomanometer digital, pulse oximetry, dan lembar observasi. Analisis data penelitian menggunakan uji Kruskal wallis. Mayoritas berjenis kelamin perempuan yaitu 108 responden (90%). Mayoritas kategori remaja akhir yaitu 117 responden (97,5%). Mayoritas tekanan darah pada mahasiswa kategori normal sebanyak 81 responden (67,5%). Nilai median saturasi oksigen (SpO2) yaitu 98 mmHg. Hasil analisis bivariat antara umur dan jenis kelamin dengan tekanan darah didapatkan p-value 0,641 dan 0,176. Hasil analisis bivariat antara usia dan jenis kelamin dengan saturasi oksigen (SpO2) didapatkan p-value 0,385 dan 0,964. Hasil analisis bivariat antara tekanan darah dan saturasi oksigen (SpO2)  didapatkani p value adalah 0,010. Tidak ada hubungan signifikan antara umur dan jenis kelamin dengan tekanan darah. Tidak ada hubungan signifikan antara umur dan jenis kelamin dengan saturasi oksigen (SpO2). Ada hubungan antara tekanan darah dengan saturasi oksigen (SpO2) pada Mahasiswa Keperawatan   Blood pressure is a very important factor in the circulatory system. This research is a type of correlation study with a cross sectional study design. The population is all students of one nursing campus of a university in Yogyakarta totaling 137 people. The sampling technique used is total sampling with 120 respondents who fit the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The research instruments used were digital sphygmomanometer, pulse oximetry, and observation sheets. Analysis of research data using the Kruskal Wallis test. The majority of women are 108 respondents (90%). The majority of late adolescent categories are 117 respondents (97.5%). The majority of blood pressure in normal category students was 81 respondents (67.5%). The median value of oxygen saturation (SpO2) is 98 mmHg. The results of bivariate analysis between age and sex with blood pressure obtained p-values ​​of 0.641 and 0.176. The results of bivariate analysis between age and sex with oxygen saturation (SpO2) obtained p-values ​​of 0.385 and 0.964. Introduction: Breastmilk is the first food for newborns and is the main nutrition for babies. The low level of exclusive breastfeeding is due to the lack of knowledge of mothers about exclusive breastfeeding. Therefore, in order for mother's knowledge to be good, it can be done by providing education about exclusive breastfeeding. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of providing education using online media for pregnant women on the knowledge of mothers in breastfeeding, self-efficacy and the success of breastfeeding alone for one month. Methods: This study used a quasi-experimental design with a pre and post-test nonequivalent control group approach. The sampling technique used probability sampling, which consisted of 44 pregnant women in the third trimester. Collection using a questionnaire and analyzed using the chi square test with a significance level of α ≤ 0.05. Results: This study shows that there is no significant relationship between the provision of online education and maternal knowledge with a p value of 0.056 (α ≥ 0.05). There is a significant relationship between providing online education with maternal self-efficacy with a p value of 0.001 (α ≤ 0.05). There was no significant relationship between the provision of education and the success of breastfeeding for 1 month with a p value of 0.186 (α ≥ 0.05). Conclusion: It is suggested that health walkers can increase educational activities regarding exclusive breastfeeding by using any method and in an appropriate, structured and continuous way with direct or indirect interactions so that the knowledge and self-efficacy of mothers about exclusive breastfeeding will be better.

Self-efficacy of clinical nurse instructors (CNI’s) could improve the socialization of nursing professionals of nursing students, whereas, on the fact that their self-efficacy was still low. The purpose of this study was to know the effect of an effective clinical teaching model on knowledge, attitude, and self-efficacy of CNI’s. The second step used a pre-post test with control group design, to know the effects of an effective clinical teaching module (ECTM) by training toward knowledge, attitudes, and self-efficacy. The sampling method used consecutive sampling that included 74 CNI’s (37 intervention and 37 control). The research result showed that ECTM training: 1) could improve significantly (P-value 0,00), the variable knowledge, attitudes, and self-efficacy; 2) knowledge variable most affected (77%). The conclusion was the ECTM training significantly improved knowledge, attitudes, and self-efficacy of CNI’S, and knowledge was the most affected variable.
