Introduction. Protection of women’s health who combine work with maternity and care for children is one of the most critical areas of state social policy. The professional activity of female workers in harmful working conditions is associated with the impact of production factors on their bodies, which may also pose a potential danger to their reproductive health. According to Service of State Statistics (Rosstat), in the Russian Federation in 2017-2018, 22.8-23.4% worked in conditions that did not meet sanitary and hygienic standards, in the Republic of Bashkortostan - 20.6-21.7% of female workers. Materials and methods. The working conditions of female workers engaged in laboratory and analytical activities at petrochemical enterprises were studied. One hundred twenty measurements of noise, vibration, microclimate were carried out, 3074 air samples of the working area were selected and analyzed. The coefficient of summation of chemicals with a unidirectional effect of action and reproductive toxicity is calculated. Results. Hygienic studies found that female workers at the petrochemical complex were exposed to harmful chemicals, whose concentrations in the air of the working area were determined below the maximum allowable. These substances have a different nature of action on the body, including potentially dangerous to reproductive health. The summation coefficient of chemical substances with unidirectional effects and reproductive toxicity was in the range from 1.04 to 1.53, which, according to Guideline R.2.2.2006-05, corresponds to Class 3.1 of working conditions. There was an intensity of the labour process due to the three-shift nature of the work. Conclusion. Laboratorians, chemical engineers of the petrochemical complex were exposed to combined exposure to chemicals belonging to 2-4 hazard classes, many of which had a unidirectional mechanism of action and at the same time represented, to some extent, a potential hazard to women’s reproductive health. The overall assessment of working conditions of female workers corresponds to harmful class - 3.1, which requires the development of measures to reduce the occupational risk of violations of reproductive health.

Introduction. The problem of women’s health protection and maintaining their reproductive health is a relevant problem of occupational health. Material and methods. The assessment of exposure levels to hazardous occupational factors at workplaces and reproductive health indices of female workers of petrochemistry and mining of the Republic of Bashkortostan has been carried out. Results. Petrochemical female workers have been shown to be exposed to the combined impact of toxicants including saturated, unsaturated, aromatic hydrocarbons and their derivatives, carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide, etc. at the maximum permissible level or below their concentration, the mining and processing enterprise workers - to the combined impact of hazardous occupational factors (polymetallic ore dust, chemicals, industrial noise). The working conditions of female workers of both industries correspond to hazardous Class I. Most chemicals possess reproductive toxicity. A significantly high prevalence of menstrual disorders, benign neoplasms, obstetric pathology in the form of threatened abortion, gestosis in the second half of pregnancy, chronic placental insufficiency, and as well as newborns’ morbidity have been revealed among female workers of main groups. Conclusion. The labor of women in the modern petrochemical complex, as well as the mining and processing enterprise fails to provide female workers’ reproductive health safety. Studies have shown the need to develop a system of preventive measures which will promote reproductive health of workers.

At workplaces in the observation group, working conditions are characterized by a combined effect of the industrial noise and a chemical factor (at 13.4% of working places the class of working conditions is 3.1, at 63.3% of workplaces the class of working conditions is 3.2). In the comparison group, working conditions are characterized by the impact of electromagnetic radiation from a personal computer, the class of working conditions corresponds to an allowable 2nd class. The executed research showed that under working conditions with an acrylonitrile concentration of 0.01 ± 0.003 mg/m3 (MPC of 0.5 mg/m3), working conditions do not provide safety for the reproductive health of female workers. An analysis of the results of the studies showed that female workers have menstrual dysfunction (menstrual irregularities in the form of hypomenorrhea, algomenorrhea, and irregular menstrual cycle were more often presented); absence of pregnancy in the first 5 years of the family life; hormonal disorders, there is also an activation of inflammatory responses, an increase in the immune reactivity; specific sensitization to acrylonitrile. Under conditions of production exposure to acrylonitrile, in workers there is observed an activation of autoimmune processes (increase in the level of antibodies to thyroid peroxidase (TPO), antibodies to phosphatidylserine), promoting lowering of immunological tolerance (elevation of antisperm antibodies), which has the impact on the formation of reproductive disorders (on fertilization and fetal development in the early stages of pregnancy), a high risk of abnormal pregnancy. The development of pathological processes of the cervix and breast is also associated with a deterioration of immunological reactivity and endocrine regulation. There was established a very high degree of the occupational conditionality of dyshormonal disorders (RR = 3.28, 95% CI = 1.22, EF = 69.48%); disorders of the menstrual cycle (RR = 4.63, 95% CI = 2.4-2.7, EF = 76.7%), the average degree of production conditionality of the pregnancy pathology (RR = 1.9, 95% CI = 1, 1-1,7, EF = 47,4%), pathological processes of the cervix (RR = 1.6, 95% CI = 1.3-1.7, EF = 37.5%), mastopathy (RR = 2.2, 95%, CI = 1, 9-2.7, EF = 50%).

The prevalence of diseases of the oral cavity in military personnel serving under the contract at various altitudes above sea level in Dagestan was estimated. The working conditions and the influence of physical environmental factors at the effective temperature in the autumn-winter-spring periods of the year are estimated. Professional activity belonged to the category of works IIb. Labor was assessed as harmful 2 degrees (class 3.2). In the winter season, a critical risk of frostbite of the body at medium temperatures and maximum wind was found at heights of 4 m and 1661 m. In the spring and autumn, a moderate risk of frostbite was noted at all altitudes. Dental diseases were registered in the classes «Neoplasms», «Diseases of the digestive system» and «Injuries and poisoning»; their share in the total structure was 15.03%. In the class «Diseases of the digestive system,» the share of dental diseases reached 80.2%. The group «Caries, its complications and other diseases of hard tissues of teeth» occupied the 1st rank place in the structure of morbidity, which is equal to morbidity in the class «Respiratory diseases». The level of oral hygiene is 2.8 ± 0.2 (very low): the teeth are significantly covered with plaque, leading to the progression of pathological processes. Description of the dental status: KPU index (carious, filled, extracted tooth) is 8.5 ± 0.3. The prevailing indicator was «carious», indicating an active carious process in the tissues of the teeth and the «lag» of the treatment, leading to their removal. Military personnel approached a critical indicator of fitness for professional activity. The need for oral sanitation reached 65.5 ± 7.9%. The share of labor losses for dental diseases of the class «Digestive apparatus diseases» reached 3.2%, excluding separation from duty on the day of treatment, of which there are several. The study proves the impact of adverse working conditions on dental morbidity, the need for their assessment to identify risk factors and develop preventive measures.

We studied the relationship of the thermoregulation reactions activation degree with microclimatic conditions at workplaces, the functional state of female workers and their reproductive health. The labor of women workers in the polymer processing industry is accompanied by the combined effect of factors complex of the working environment and the labor process. Leading ones are the heating microclimate and physical activity. Hygienic assessment of the working conditions of the studied occupational groups (women professions of pressers, casters, extruders, high-frequency installations serving workers, rollers, calenders) showed that the resulting classes of working conditions correspond to hazard classes 3.2-3.3, which can determine the risk of reproductive disorders. The heating microclimate in combination with physical activity causes the thermoregulation system stress, which is manifested in an increase of skin temperature, sweating. According to the results of the in-depth gynecological examination, an increase of 1.3-2 times the frequency of gynecological morbidity was revealed. The main forms of gynecological pathology among female workers in the polymer processing industry were: prolapse of the uterus and vaginal walls, benign tumors, menstrual disorders and inflammatory diseases of the female pelvic organs. The state of women reproductive system is considered as an integral assessment of the impact of working conditions. A comparative analysis of objective hygienic data of working conditions and their subjective assessments by female workers made it possible to identify with the help of multiple regression analysis the relationship between risk factors and reproductive health, which allows us to improve and substantiate preventive measures in the workplace. We presented a mathematical model that allows to evaluate and predict the dependence of reproductive health disorders on the studied factors of working conditions, and also use it to develop practical recommendations.

Abstract Introduction. Currently, the work of managers is characterized by a number of factors having an unfavorable impact on human health. Stress as the main risk factor related to the professional activity is considered to be the major cause of possible poor health among the managers. Depression may result from a stress overload of managers. Aim. The authors wanted to determine the vulnerability to depression related to professional stress among healthcare managers and to assess gender and managerial work experience-specific differences. Materials and methods. A total of 235 healthcare managers working in the Republic of Belarus with various length of managerial work experience (women n=142, men n=93; mean age 45.7±1.21 years) underwent a psychological testing aimed at determining their vulnerability to depression. The results of the study were analyzed using the STATISTICA 7.0 software. Results. The vulnerability to depression in men differed from that in women (p=0.002). The predisposition to depression had significant differences between the groups with various experience of managerial work (p=0.03). The vulnerability to depression among healthcare managers increased with the length of managerial work. The highest level of vulnerability to depression was in healthcare managers with >20 years of experience (p=0.02) both in men (p=0.003) and in women (p=0.04). Conclusion. Thus, acquiring professional competences as a factor contributing to stress resistance, skills of coping with stress and alleviating its impact on the health status is very important through the whole professional activity. Healthcare managers with the length of work experience of 1-5 years are especially in need of the appropriate knowledge and skills.

Currently, one of the main threats to human health is undoubtedly endocrine disruptors (ED), since they directly disrupt the processes of homeostasis maintenance, controlled by the endocrine system, the purpose of which is to maintain normal functions and development in a constantly changing environment. Pesticides can disrupt the physiological functioning of many endocrine axes, including the endocrine mechanisms that ensure reproductive health. It should be noted that research aimed at preventing chemically induced reproductive disorders in the human population is one of the central areas of preventive medicine, both in terms of their importance and the complexity of the tasks being solved. Analysis and generalization of the results of our own long-term studies have shown that the selective, and, therefore, the most dangerous toxicity of pesticides for the reproductive system is determined by endocrine-mediated mechanisms of etiopathogenesis. The low level of doses inducing pathological changes in reproductive function in our studies fully confirms one of the universal signs inherent in endocrine-distruptive compounds. The above examples demonstrate a wide range of possible endocrine-mediated mechanisms of reproductive toxicity of pesticides - endocrine disruptors. However, it is very important to note that low doses may be more effective in changing some endpoints compared to high (toxic) doses. Currently, several mechanisms have been identified and studied that demonstrate how hormones and ED induce non-monotonic reactions in animal cells, tissues and organs. The reproductive system, the functioning of which is ensured by a fine balancing of the action of androgens and estrogens, is one of the systems that presents a unique opportunity for modeling a non-monotonic dose dependence. All of the above indicates the extreme danger of the impact of hormonally active agents on the reproductive health of a person and his offspring. At the same time, the threat of endocrine-mediated disorders for subsequent generations can also be realized through the induction of mechanisms of development of epigenetic transgenerational effects. Taking into account the results of studies of the mechanisms of the ED destructive action, as well as their ability to induce non-monotonic dose dependence at an extremely low dose level, it should be admitted that, apparently, there is a need to revise the paradigm of methodological approaches to the regulation of pesticides with endocrine-disruptive properties. Key words: pesticides, endocrine disruptors, reproductive system

Purpose – Today's tourists are increasingly looking for an active, healthy and meaningful way to spend their time at a destination. The purpose of this study, therefore, is to determine the key dimensions of memorable tourism experiences (MTEs) that influence tourists' satisfaction with the vacation experience motivated by the beauty of nature and landscape, as well as the impact of satisfaction with vacation experience on behavioural intentions. Design – Using a structured questionnaire on pencil and paper, data were collected from a sample of 334 travellers who were citizens of the Republic of Croatia and whose primary motive for travel was to visit a natural attraction. Methodology/approach – The questionnaire adopted previously validated scales and was used to explore MTEs, satisfaction with the vacation experience and behavioural intentions. The hypotheses were empirically tested using partial least square structural equation modelling. Findings – The results show that not all MTE dimensions influence satisfaction with the vacation experience among tourists whose primary travel motive was the beauty of nature and landscape. Hedonism, refreshment, and involvement as MTE dimensions had a statistically significant influence on satisfaction with the vacation experience. In addition, satisfaction with the vacation experience had a statistically significant influence on several behavioural intentions, with the strongest influence on intention to recommend. Originality of the research – Tourists in nature-based destinations were found to exhibit specific behaviours, as not all MTE dimensions contribute equally to satisfaction with the vacation experience. This study extends the body of knowledge on tourism experience theory by empirically testing its premises on tourists motivated by the beauty of nature and landscape.

The article considers the types of readiness of specialists in physical therapy and occupational therapy to use health-preserving technologies in professional activities, which are determined by: scientific knowledge about the nature, patterns, features, principles, purpose, objectives and content of work to restore public health and implement such technologies. The main indicator of the effectiveness of specialist training is the psychological, pedagogical, professional, practical, social, personal and physical readiness of a specialist in physical therapy and occupational therapy to work to restore the health of the socio-component of our society. It is shown that the main property of a specialist in physical therapy and occupational therapy is a generalized ability to think pedagogically, which implies that the teacher has analytical, prognostic, design and reflexive skills. Features of both practical and professional readiness of the specialist are external (subject) skills, which include organizational and communication skills. The main types of readiness (professional, personal, psychological, physical, social, pedagogical and practical) of specialists in physical therapy and occupational therapy to use health technology in professional activities are described; the peculiarities of use in working with patients when compiling rehabilitation programs based on the International Classification are indicated. functioning, limitation of life and health, which aims to define a unified and standardized language and schemes for describing health and health-related conditions, which introduces the definition of the components of health and some related to health, components of well-being (in particular, such as education and work). This classification has moved away from the classification of "disease consequences" and has become a classification of "health components". The components of health determine the components of health, while the "consequences" focus on the impact of disease or other health conditions on the end result. The international classification of functioning, limitation of life and health is not nosologically oriented, but takes into account changes in health without regard to the facts, at the time of the examination. This classification is focused not only on the severity of the consequences of diseases, it for the first time emphasizes the adaptive and compensatory capabilities of the body, the importance of maximum involvement of people with special educational needs in public life, which deal with physical therapists and occupational therapists activities.

The work presents data analysis of the results of special assessment of working conditions for workers of various branches of economy in the Bashkortostan Republic. Results of special assessment of working conditions (SAWC) and medical examinations were used for the analysis. It is noted, that some professional groups, for example, persons performing their work in the sphere of agriculture, have no exposure to the biological factor. Construction workers were not exposed to industrial vibration, while the noise level for half of the analyzed cases was of class 2.0, although in most cases, industrial noise and vibration have single source. Proportion of facilities that revealed a discrepancy between levels of harmful industrial factors and requirements of sanitary legislation remains high. The greatest share of objects does not correspond to sanitary and epidemiological requirements according to the chemical and physical factor. At the moment, SAWC does not fully reflect the working conditions of employees in different sectors of production. Underestimation of its influence on working conditions of workers is typical for a considerable number of professional groups and individual jobs. Analysis on the basis of SAWC is not sufficient for a hygienic assessment of the impact of production environment factors and labour process on health and requires comprehensive assessment methods.
