The purpose of the scientific article is to determine the optimal options for attaching grain farms to grain receiving enterprises. When writing the work were used methods for studying bibliographic sources and the principles of economic and mathematical modeling, systematization, synthesis, comparison, quantitative and qualitative analysis. Results of the study – the optimal options for attaching grain farms to grain receiving enterprises were determined on the basis of the effective use of their technical ability in operations of receiving, processing, placing, forming batches of grain and the optimal scheme for linking grain receiving enterprises to processing plants taking into account the distance of transportation for the intended purpose, as well as the annual needs.

The cells in a tissue occupying a region Ωt are divided according to their cycling phase. The density pi of cells in phase i depends on the spatial variable x, the time t, and the time si since the cells entered in phase i. The pi(x, t, si) and the oxygen concentration w(x, t) satisfy a system of PDEs in Ωt, and the boundary of Ωt is a free boundary. We denote by [Formula: see text] the oxygen concentration on the free boundary and consider the radially symmetric case, so that Ωt = {r < R(t)}. We prove that R(t) is always bounded; furthermore, if [Formula: see text] is small, then R(t) → 0 as t → ∞, and if [Formula: see text] is large, then R(t) ≥ c > 0 for all t. Finally, we prove the existence and uniqueness of a stationary solution in a special case.

We considered the problems of mathematical modeling of composite materials in the example of the development of materials for the protection against ionizing radiation. Construction materials are provided as a complex system with the appropriate attributes. The structure and physico-mechanical properties of the material were determined by the results of the modeling of kinetic processes. Process of forming properties is described by the differential equation in deviations from the equilibrium state (as for dispersion system). It is taken into account the elastic and damping properties of the material. To predict the behavior of the building material and the formation of his private mathematical models are used a representation of the processes as of time series. It is given the algorithm for studies (with considering prehistory) of formation of the basic physical and mechanical properties of epoxy composites for radiation protection. We present an example of the identification of building materials with special properties. Approaches used effectively in the development of materials with special properties.

In this paper, the decision-making problem of speed-up scheme for existing high-speed railway is studied. Considering the different running speed of different parts of high-speed railway, the speed-up scheme of existing line is formulated. Taking the factors affecting the decision-making of railway speed-up scheme into consideration, the efficiency, cost and influence are determined as the evaluation indexes, and the grey target decision-making method in grey system theory is selected to evaluate each scheme. In this problem, qualitative analysis can be used for the optimal decision-making of the initial scheme. The corresponding situations under each index are comprehensively considered and sorted. The value is assigned to each qualitative evaluation to form the effect vector of each situation. In the spherical grey target formed by grey target decision method, the optimal scheme can be obtained by comparing the off-target distance of each effect vector corresponding to the scheme. It is proved that the grey target decision-making method can also obtain the optimal scheme through qualitative analysis when it is difficult to make quantitative analysis.

AbstractTeaching mathematical modeling is a demanding task. Thus, fostering teachers’ competencies in this regard is an essential component of teacher education. Recent conceptualizations of teachers’ competencies include situation-specific skills based on the concept of noticing, which is of particular interest for the spontaneous reactions needed when teaching mathematical modeling. The study described in this paper aims to analyze the development of a video-based instrument for measuring teachers’ noticing competencies within a mathematical modeling context and obtain evidence for the validity of the instrument. Three kinds of validity are examined in three different studies: content validity, elemental validity and construct validity. Indicators for content validity could be found through different expert ratings and implementation with the target group, where participants were able to perceive all relevant aspects. The qualitative analysis of participants’ reasoning, which is consistent with the coded level, indicates elemental validity. Moreover, the results of the confirmatory factor analysis suggest construct validity with one overall factor of noticing competence within a mathematical modeling context. Taken together, these studies imply a satisfactory validity of the video-based instrument.

[1,3] The article is devoted to the development of a modeling algorithm for the operation of a transport and technological system. Mathematical modeling makes it possible to formally describe any complex system (in our case, a specialized terminal for transshipment of General cargo) and use the description to explore various modes of its operation. The developed model will allow you to choose the optimal option for the operation of the reloading complex under given conditions, but, like any mathematical model, it does not take into account the non-formalized part of the relevant information. At a specialized terminal, complex and diverse processes occur related to the transshipment of various cargo, containers and other General cargo, which does not allow us to build an absolutely adequate mathematical model. Therefore, the mathematical model presents only the main patterns that are characteristic of the modeling system. In this case, secondary factors are not taken into account, as they are insignificant. [1,3]

The purpose of this study is to empirically examine the effect of technological sophistication on the effectiveness of the use of accounting information systems with personal engineering abilities, and training as a moderating variable. This research was conducted in all hospitals in Denpasar. The number of hospitals in the city of Denpasar is 21 and the number of samples used is 232 people, namely employees in finance and cashiers. The data analysis technique used is Moderated Regression Analysis. The results of this analysis indicate that technological sophistication has a positive effect on the effectiveness of the use of accounting information systems, and training strengthens the influence of technological sophistication on the effectiveness of the use of accounting information systems. Whereas personal technical ability cannot moderate the influence of technological sophistication on the effective use of accounting information systems. Knowledge of human potential and especially labor resources implies a system of indicators, a quantitative and qualitative analysis that is complex and truthful at all levels. Human resources are changing in size and features in an organization. We intend to represent the human resources of an organization and the changes they undergo by using mathematical modeling, differential equations and even default probabilities.

The aim of this paper is to study the cropping system as complex one, applying methods from theory of dynamic systems and from the control theory to the mathematical modeling of the biological pest control. The complex system can be described by different mathematical models. Based on three models of the pest control, the various scenarios have been simulated in order to obtain the pest control strategy only through natural enemies' introduction.
