Media use and adolescents’ risk taking in traffic: a literature review Media use and adolescents’ risk taking in traffic: a literature review The aim of this article is to provide an overview of the research on the relationship between media use and adolescents’ risk taking in traffic. In sum, two main approaches on this issue can be found in the literature. First, following Cultivation Theory and the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) media use can be seen as a predictor of people’s perceptions of and attitudes towards risky driving (cultivation) and of people’s intentions to take risks in traffic and their actual risky driving behavior (TPB). Second, following the Problem Behavior Theory certain types of media use and risky driving can be considered to be part of a cluster of problem behavior. This study explores the theoretical foundations of these two main research perspectives on media use and risk taking in traffic and discusses the research results in both traditions. Although more research is needed to examine the relationship between media use and risky driving, the literature suggests that media and risky driving are indeed related and that media use primarily seems to be a predictor of risk taking in traffic.

The main goal of the study was to identify the basic research problems. Connected with agricultural income and its determinants, as well as an attempt to indicate potential directions for the development of agricultural income research. The literature review indicated the need for precise application of income concepts, the differences between the main research perspectives and the sources of data used and the specificity of the income statement due to the multi-occupancy and the co-existence of households and farms in the case of family farms. In the second part of the paper, the possibility of examining agricultural income in a regional perspective was considered, including the relation between resources and the use of financial analysis methods.

PurposeThe manufacturing sector is well known for its significance in upholding the economic prosperity of many nations. However, in today's unprecedented environment, the resilience of this sector has become vulnerable to relentless catastrophic events, thus gaining a serious concern among the economies driven by this sector. Albeit the various determinants, human capital emerges as the widely accepted core factor that holds the key to proliferate organisational resilience. Therefore, the present systematic literature review seeks to intensify the understanding of the link between human capital and organisational resilience in the manufacturing context.Design/methodology/approachThis paper systematically reviews the studies converging human capital and organisational resilience in the context of manufacturing from the year 2011 to 2021 based on the PRISMA protocol. A bibliographic coupling analysis was carried out using VOSviewer software to expose the main research themes and trends concerning the relationship.FindingsThe bibliographic coupling analysis discovered links between publications to produce a framework outlining a holistic state-of-art of the literature intersecting human capital and organisational resilience. The analysis identified main research themes by clustering the prior studies into seven groups, which describe the direction of the literature.Originality/valueThis study offers a novel framework and in-depth understanding to the research community to delve into the interrelationship between human capital and organisational resilience research. Guided by the gaps in the literature, a set of outstanding avenues for the forthcoming studies are also proposed.

This research focuses on the particular aspect of residential building quality and aims to measure the relationship that affects houses prices in Klang. The researcher through the problem statement and literature review has noted that respondents have knowledge in measuring the quality of their own house, but measurement must be conducted on an empirical basis with evidence. The main research objectives were to identify residential building quality and to measure the residential building quality effect on houses prices. The sampling of the research was conducted on fifty houses, and the measurement was conducted with the help of Regression Analysis. The results obtained show a significant relationship between higher quality of residential buildings and higher prices that can be commanded. The findings also could help to improve the estimation of value for new and older houses in the sampled areas.

In scientific discourse, opinions exist about the passing of knowledge management. These voices are incompatible with an argument that, in the era of knowledge-based economies, organizations need to be moving towards this concept of knowledge management. Such divergence requires examination. Hence, this paper presents the findings of a thorough literature review aiming to examine how widespread knowledge management solutions have been adopted in organizations as well as to identify the traits that define a knowledge worker. Also, the paper identifies the relationship between knowledge management and human resource management in the context of supporting knowledge workers. A critical analysis of literature together with theoretical conclusions are the main research methods used. The article is the basis for further empirical verification of the problem. The results indicate that the implementation of knowledge management can be a trend without formal acknowledgment. Thus, without obvious intention, the organization implements a management method that fulfills the premises of knowledge management. This paper presents an interpretation of knowledge management that invalidates the passing of this knowledge field

The purpose of this chapter is to draw upon the findings from previous literature review on e-business diffusion and collaboration, together with the theories of Trust and organizational capacities. The related theories are DOI theory and Trust theory, while trust, organizational capacity, collaboration, diffusion of e-business and business performance are regarded as the five ‘constructs' of the theoretical framework. The research theoretical framework consists of six hypotheses emerging from the interrelationships. Relationships between research question, research objectives and hypotheses are clearly established. The mediation effect of e-business diffusion between the relationship of collaboration and business performance also would be examined as the main research question.

The rise of e-commerce has brought considerable changes to the relationship between firms and consumers, especially within international business. Hence, understanding the use of such means for entering foreign markets has become critical for companies. However, the research on this issue is new and so it is important to evaluate what has been studied in the past. In this study, we conduct a systematic review of e-commerce and internationalisation studies to explicate how firms use e-commerce to enter new markets and to export. The studies are classified by theories and methods used in the literature. Moreover, we draw upon the internationalisation decision process (antecedents-modalities-consequences) to propose an integrative framework for understanding the role of e-commerce in internationalisation

The article deals with the relationship between the terms «word of the year» and «neologism of the year», and the examples are the words, annually nominating as «word of the year», and neologisms of the last few years. The main research methods are statistical, comparative, and lexicographic description. Usually nomination «Word of the year» presents words, long-existing in the Russian language, borrowings, as well as author’s occasionalisms. The cultural and social aspects prevail in this campaign, while linguistic aspects are not involved. It seems that the verbal image of the year is a more complex and mosaic phenomenon. It can be reconstructed with the help of representative linguistic data scrupulously collected by lexicographers.
