Reacting to the harmonious upon religious pluralism in Indonesia, current educational policies are now supposed to involve a heterogeneous education concept. If based on the common fact, those who keen into pure islamic school, they usually are listed-in Madrasah Secondary School or Madrasah Aliyah. Prior to the pure-islamic school, students whose essence as a christian and/ or catholic, they constantly are enrolled to the Christian or Catholic Secondary School (see SMAK). Aside of them, neither pupils nor parents whose consider religion and ethnic (secular secondary school), their entrance are mostly addressed into the Secondary School itself (the school that hasn’t specify the religious matter). Opposing an existed fact above, this article is trying to exposing the concept of Secularized Secondary School. Such school’s model is prospectable to enhance the multitude of educational path by the Unity in Diversity or Bhinneka Tunggal Ika. A secular senior high school is able to be  applied (soon) via multi-religion in Indonesia; 207 million (87%) Moslem; 16.5 million (7,0%) Christian; 6.9 million (2,9%) Catholic; 1.7 million (0,7%) Buddhism; 4 million (1,7%) Hinduism; and 117 thousands (0,05%) Confucianism. The aim of secularized here is equal by the universalized secondary school; which the students are organized by one-united vision above diversities. Such educational policy’s innovation is must be attempted over reconstructing and uniting thirteen-thousands-and-eight-hundred common secondary school around Indonesia.

This paper concerns the social and ritual construction of social identities at Pondok Pesantren Madrasah Wathoniyah Islamiyah (PPMWI), a theologically Wahhabi oriented pesantren (traditional Islamic school) in Central Java, Indonesia. We focus on the inter-play of religious and secular symbols in the school’s graduation ceremonies (wisuda) for secondary school students and the ways it contributes to the construction of individual and social identities. Our analysis builds on Turner’s studies of the processual logic of rites of passage, Moore and Meyerhoff’s distinction between religious and secular ritual and Tambiah’s application of the Piercian concept of indexical symbols to the analysis of ritual. Theoretically we will be concerned with ritual, cognitive and social processes involved in the construction of religious identities. Empirically, we critique the common assumption that Salafi, and more specifically, Wahhabi, religious teachings contribute to the construction of exclusivist identities, social conflict and violence. In the case we are concerned with, religious tolerance and non-violence are among the defining features of Wahhabi identity.[Tulisan membahas konstruksi identitas ritual dan sosial pada sebuah pesantren yang berorientasi teologi Wahhabi, yaitu Pondok Pesantren Madrasah Wathoniyah Islamiyah (PPMWI). Diskusi akan difokuskan pada saling silang simbol-simbol agama dan sekuler dalam peringatan wisuda siswa menengah pertama serta signifikansinya dalam konstruksi identitas sosial dan individual. Analisis tulisan ini berdasarkan studi Turner mengenai logika proses dalam daur ritus (the processual logic of rites of passage), pembagian ritual agama dan sekuler oleh Moore dan Meyerhoff serta konsep Piercian mengenai indek simbolis dalam ritual oleh Tambiah. Secara teoritis, artikel ini akan mendiskusikan ritual, kognisi, dan proses sosial yang menjadi bagian dalam konstruksi identitas agama. Selain itu, penulis juga melakukan kritik terhadap pandangan umum mengenai Wahhabi yang dituduh sebagai identitas ekslusif, biang-kerok konflik sosial dan kekerasan. Penulis menemukan sebaliknya, bahwa toleransi antar agama dan anti-kekerasan adalah salah satu ciri identitas Wahhabi.]

The internal market of the EU comprises an area with no internal borders, in which a free flow of persons, goods, services and capital has been introduced. Among the main aims of creating the common market were: lowering of prices and their turnover, an increase in availability and competitiveness of services and making unrestricted movement within the union possible. This was aimed to enhance living standards among citizens of member states.Polish citizens are now enjoying these freedoms. As a teacher of entrepreneurship, I am interested mainly in entrepreneurship among young people, and in this particular case, in the way they are taking advantage of the opportunities created by Poland’s accession to the EU. In order to become better acquainted with the opinions of young Poles’ on the above mentioned topics, a survey was conducted among my secondary school students. As a result, I learned about the plans of secondary school final year students concerning further education or the search for employment, including the possibility of finding work abroad. Similar research was conducted in 2006 and 2007, presenting the opportunity to compare the results. The most im­portant conclusions resulting from the comparison are the following: the students are closely following the economic situation of Poland and the EU, and are adapting their plans according to the changes currently taking place.

This work presents the results of quantitative research into online child grooming carried out with a sample of 489 secondary school students in Catalonia (Spain). Besides determining the rate of victimisation of children by this behaviour, it establishes the profile of the victims and the offenders. In addition, it analyses the dynamics of these processes, victim–offender interaction, the level of effect that this behaviour has on the victims and the way in which an end was put to the situation. The results obtained in this empirical research do not permit confirmation of the common opinion that the widespread use of information and communication technology has led to an exponential increase in the victimisation of minors through online child grooming behaviour by unknown adults offline, because of which we need to react through the criminalisation of this behaviour.

The choice of the university course to attend and therefore indirectly the professions connected to it, constitutes a complex operation for a student who finishes secondary school (Vulperhorst, 2020). This choice becomes more difficult if we are talking about courses of study that train border professions, as in the case of university courses in the socio-psycho- pedagogical field, assimilated, in the common feeling, to the point of confusing the borders. The accompaniment of secondary school students oriented towards these professions requires adequate tools for exploring the same, tools that allow them to analyze the congruence between their interests, skills, personal attitudes and the chosen professional profiles. For this purpose we have built and validated a tool for socio-psycho-pedagogical professions, to be used in differential orientation paths for students who need assistance in the discrimination of the paths that lead to the training of educators, teachers, psychologists and social workers. We will start the contribution with an analysis of the dysfunctional choice mechanisms that most typically lead to inappropriate choices in the study paths indicated, to then arrive at illustrating the original tool.

In this work we intend to share an educational path on mathematical games developed in the last classes of the high schools that participate to the research-project Mathematical High School Project, a project elaborated by the research group in mathematics education of the Department of Mathematics of the University of Salerno (Italy) and dedicated to scientific high school students. The "Historical path in mathematical games" is a didactic laboratory activity dedicated to students of the last year of scientific high schools. The researchers collaborated with the teachers of the schools and carried out an interdisciplinary path on puzzles and logic games invented or reworked by important mathematicians of the last two centuries. Through these themes that were scientific, historical, artistic, musical, literary ones, connections have been created thank to the presentation of texts, images, paintings, drawings, musical and literary pieces.

Background: Academic examinations have been considered as one of the acute stresses experienced by students. Passing or failing has strong consequences, so examinations cause psychological stress for most students. This study designed to document stressors and anti-stressors related to exam and quantify the stress.Methods: A cross sectional study using purposive sampling was carried out involving 387 secondary and higher secondary school students. Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI) and semi-structured questionnaire was used to collect data.Results: Among the respondents, 76.7% felt that exams should be taken. Worry (46.8%); fear of forgetting (24.3%), nervousness (14.7%) and fear (10.1%) were the common stressors. Exams were a positive opportunity to prove their mettle was shared by 23.3% students. Stress level was constant among 50.9% of participants irrespective of the level of their preparation. MCQ (51.2%) was the preferred examination pattern. In majority (74.4%) failing equated obtaining less marks. Fear of failing existed among 46.5% participants. Mean score for BAI was 10.15 with participants falling into mild (92.7%), moderate (6.5%) and severe (0.8%) stress categories. A total of 68% students felt that these stresses can be reduced. Preferred way to relax was talking to friends (55.6%), listening to music (53.5%) and watching TV (47%). Most helpful person was the mother (39%). Parental reaction to stress was generally supportive (63.6%). Professional counselling was taken by 2.6% students.Conclusions: Exams were associated with worry, nervousness and fear. Fear of failure added to this stress. However, parents were generally supportive. Mean BAI score was 10.15.

A thorough understanding of adolescent drinking and delinquent behaviour is required in order to implement early prevention and intervention programs in schools. Broadly based on the common cause model of adolescent deviance, this study investigated and compared, across genders, the prevalence and inter-relationships of various indicators of adolescent drinking and delinquency. Participants were 312 secondary school students (aged 13–17, 57.7% male) in Canberra, Australia, who completed an anonymous survey comprising the Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test and the Australian Self-Reported Delinquency Scale — Revised. We found very few gender differences in drinking and delinquency patterns, and noted medium-to-strong associations among various dimensions of adolescent drinking and delinquent activities. Resulting implications for school prevention programs are considered.

The whole human race is travelling through an age of exploitation, social, political, economic, cultural and so on. All these ill-treatments influence the daily life of the common man as a considerable issue. Critical consciousness of a person significantly affects the situation. It enables man to critically analyze the structural oppression and to change inequalities within their sociopolitical environments (Freire, 1973, 1993) through critical reflection and critical action. At the same time it keeps them away from victimization. The society expects rattling renovations from the new generation which is the only way for structural improvement of the milieu. All that depends on the critical consciousness of the imminent generation. Hence the study focuses on the mensuration of critical consciousness of secondary school students who represent the impending generation. At the same time the study values the effectiveness of prevailing educational system of the state in developing critical consciousness as the system is said to be rooted in Freirian ideas and concepts and giving prominence to the development of critical consciousness. The present study attempts to chalk out the level of Critical Consciousness among secondary school students of Kerala. Survey method is adopted for the study. Sample constitutes 125 students of standard eighth. Critical consciousness Scale developed by the investigators is used for the data collection. The survey reveals mediocrity of Critical Consciousness among the secondary school students.

RESUMENLa finalidad de este estudio fue investigar la percepción que tienen los estudiantes de secundaria acerca de la incidencia de abuso a menores en el Estado de Edo, Nigeria, con énfasis en las implicaciones para la Orientación. Se plantearon cuatro cuestiones de investigación: (i) ¿Cuál es el alcance del abuso a menores entre los estudiantes de secundaria del Estado de Edo? (ii) ¿Con qué frecuencia ocurren dichos abusos? (iii) ¿ Se producen más abusos en zonas rurales que en áreas urbanas? (iv) ¿Cuáles son las causas más comunes del abuso a menores? Este artículo presenta los objetivos, metodología y resultados del estudio y sus implicaciones para la orientación.ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study was to investigate the perception of incidence of child abuse among secondary school students in Edo State with focus on guidance and Counselling implications. In order to accomplish this, four research questions were raised: (i) What was the extent of child abuse among secondary school students in Edo State? (ii) What were the frequencies of occurrence of child abuse? (iii) Was child abuse more prevalent in rural than urban area? (iv) What were the common causes of child abuse? The article presents the objectives, methodology and results of the study and its implications for guidance.
